"Well uh," Gig paused to think. "I did not steal your hearing?" He was confused by the opposing analogy. He then listened quietly and intently as the other poison type ranted her ongoing issues. Her little Nido-family seemed to be arguing constantly in this winter, and they're having issues with looking for food. He was glad that the Nidorina was able to vent out in this battle, even if both of them were being kind of loud, but not as loud as the howling cold wind. While he would normally suggest scavenging from human's trash, Gig decided not to suggest that, because they might have been buried in the snow by now. He thought for a second, while shuffling himself in the snow to keep warm. "You feel better now? Would your family be going back to their nest, or are they staying over the whole winter?" He wasn't sure if the answer to this would make a difference. "Hm..... food. The humans might still have food laying around if you want to dig around. If not, some tree in the winter might make fruits instead? Or nuts? I don't know how to tell though. Maybe spy on those Pidgeotto? They have better eyes than we do." He replied, completely fumbled by this question of food. As a "domesticated" Pokemon, that was not a thing he thought about nowadays. The nidorina looked thoughtful at Gigi and shrugged helplessly, "I have no clue on how long they stays. As long as they can endure each other I think, and me." she sighed and shook her head, "I know all that can be eaten, but either the fruits are all gone or bad now, or I don't know where to find them, otherwise it wouldn't have been a problem."She smiled to Gigi, "but asking the pidgeottos is a great idea! They are usually very helpful, thanks!" She called and then spun around and disappeared into the snowstorm. While the nidorina was fairly unbothered by the hail, it was the cold and the snow covering the ground which had been the biggest problem for her, another pokemon disliked the weather with all its heart. The gligar had set out to explore the world and this far from home it had finally had enough, ice was the worst thing to exist in this world and now it fell from the sky! "Hey! Hey!" It shouted when it spotted Alex and his pokemon, "I want out of this weather, can I go with you? You have one of those stones which hold pokemon right? Then I'll be out of this ice, right? I'll show you what I can do wtih a battle, alright? I'll be a great companion!" It rambled and readied itself in the hope it could impress them and start a new chapter of its travel. One without ice ramming at it from above all the time. It seemed promising when they at least accepted the challenge, and the gligar swooped at Legigent and cut him furiously with its claws, although it didn't do much to the whirlipede's tough shell. When it saw that its opponent picked up speed, the gligar shouted that it could match that, and swooped in with a blink of an eye and crashed into Gig before it got screeched at again. "Um, I don't make the call, my trainer does." The bug replied to the flying scorpion. After the two exchanged attacks, the bug thoughtfully replied. "Well, you did great so far. You can handle my loud screeching, and you're certainly fast. My shells are a bit tougher than others, but I think the human would understand."
Alex watched the battle and thought about catching this Pokemon, but he had an inkling that this one would need to be weakened really well. "Good screeching! Now weaken it with a Poision Tail!" He hollered out his next command. The Whirlipede nodded with his tail to communicate that he understood.
"You seem like an energetic one. We'll have to tire you out though, if you want to escape this snow storm." Gig added after his trainer, as his tail began glowing a bright purple light. "Alright, get ready, I'm not holding back." The gentle bug then began spinning, and circling around the Gligar. When the opportunity came, he would leap up and swat the Gligar with his tail, seasoned with a venomous dose.

To think that some days ago, this Gligar was doing what all of its kind did; hunting down berries and other morsels, and picking fights with whatever creatures got in its way. Plenty of people in Johto had stories of Gligar falling on them from above, latching on to their face to try and sting or bite them for some perceived slight. Sometimes it was for wandering too close to a nest, sometimes it was to steal the human's food. Sometimes there was no discernible reason at all. But this Gligar had been knocked out of the sky, unable to properly soar and hunt to its hearts content due to the storm it had weathered. And truth be told? It was getting really sick of this storm. Ice and Gligars already didn't mix, but then when you added in the wind and the cold and the everything else of it all? It was absolutely miserable flying around in this kind of mess. At least if it got in one of the human's little capture rocks, maybe then it could have a rest from the cold. And maybe this human would have some good snacks to share, too. "Good, don't hold back! I gotta show the human what I can do so they can get me out of this mess!" the Gligar squealed with glee, clicking its claws together as it hovered into the air, letting the wind flow around it as it charged its whole body at the rolling Gig. Gligar placed itself directly in the path of the rolling bug, slamming into Gig with full force behind its purple little shoulders. Gig stopped in its tracks, if only for a moment as its large, venomous tail came crashing down on the Gligar's body. Gligar let out a shriek of pain as the attack landed, returning to its gliding position within the air. The Gligar was moving fast, and enthusiastically. Alex could tell from the Pokemon that its expression wasn't angry, but just excited for the battle. It was a fast one, despite the frosty air that would normally put these flying scorpions in a disadvantage. Not to mention, this Pokemon don't seem to be from this area. He thought it would be a great idea to find a good home for these Gligars.
"Gig, can you just take on this fast one for a second?" He asked his Pokemon for a quick favor, as he searched his bag for a Pokeball. He could feel his hands freezing from the cold, and he would have to make this a quick one. Hopefully, luck was on his side, be cause he was not hoping to drag and stay in this temperature for any much longer. When he felt that he was ready, he tossed the Poke Ball. He watched patiently and anxiously as the ball flew and sucked up the Gligar. This wasn't his first time catching a Pokemon, but every single time, it felt like time slowed and waiting for fate's judgment.

The flying scorpion known as gligar is enjoying the fight even in this unpleasant weather. If anything, the gligar enjoys a good challenge which the weather is definitely adding to. Gligar is hoping this battle will continue so it can continue having fun. The thing it isn't expecting is a red and white ball coming at it. The gligar thinks it knows what this object is as the ball hits it. The normal Pokeball opens up and hits the gligar with a red beam. The ball rolls around on the ground as it gets hit with the snow storm.
Catching Chance 30%? ADYLuG8h1-100 The ball breaks open and the gligar flies out of it. What is left of the ball is slowly getting covered up in the snow storm.
>>I still want to play!! It been ages since my last battle. I'll make this a bit tougher on you.<<
Gligar's skin seems to thicken just a little as a bright shine comes across it. The gligar uses harden for protection against the opponent and hopefully the hail.

"Ages?" The bug type replied, astounded. "How many days or months ago? What Pokemon did you battle? Was it a quick one or long battle?" As a battle enthusiast, the Whirlipede did not mind a healthy discussion about battles. Heck, maybe he could learn more about other Pokemon out there. "What's your favorite game?" He also added, as sometimes, playing is a great way to relax after a tough battle. Though, Alex wasn't amused that the Pokeball failed. The Gligar certainly was a hardy and energetic one for breaking through the Pokeball. He pulled out a Great Ball this time, as he was hoping to capture the opponent before the hail would knock it out. "Well, it broke out of the Pokeball fast too. Let's try this again..." Alex muttered and got ready to toss a Great Ball. He also shivered after speaking as the cold air entered his lungs and nostril. He was not made for this weather. OOC: If caught, use this post for exp boost if it hadn't update yet.

"That was two days ago! No! Wait, last week, 5 moons.. I don't know!" It shouted laughingly, "the days kind of melt into each other, you know? When you do the same over and over, day in and day out, its kind of hard to remember one day from another. Isn't that an amazing thing?! Think about having such nice and peaceful life that all days are just the same relaxing!" It paused to shoot a glance at the sky, "this day I'm afraid I'll remember to the day I die!"I'm pretty sure it was either a pidgeotto or a nidorina, you know, they are all over, don't you think? producing offspring's like rattata! It soared past Gig as it was impossible for a flyer to stay in the same place in a strong wind like this one, but it was surprisingly good a flier for a gligar, skillfully changing its wing's position to work with the gusts of wind. "Games? I never play games, what games could a pokemon like me play? Tag? Tag is fun of course, but no, since two nights ago I haven't played that. Berry tossing is fun too, but I don't play that either, you need berries for that you know and there is none around now," it rambled on. "Oh! That's one of those rocks again! that's because he wants to capture me, right?! Oh! That is just what I wnat, you remember that right? It's about time that I get out of this weather!" It exclaimed and swooped down at Alex and the great ball which he threw. "Yes!" It shouted and swung its clawed wings at it to catch it, but hit it way too hard and knocked it off path so it plunged right at Gig and shattered against his side. The impact knocked loose his sitrus berry which flew through the air and disappeared into a nearby snowpile. It was easy to retrieve as long as they remembered after the battle. "Well, what weather was it, if the days were blending into each other? Do you prefer fighting Pidgeotto or Nidorina?" The bug asked more question, trying to learn more from his opponent.
Gig turned his body around as the Gligar rode through the wind and knocked off the berry he was holding. "Hey, I was going to use that! Now you have your berry for berry toss..." His excitement turned to disappointment at the end, when the berry was beginning to be covered in snow. If he had something like a penchant to pick up things, he would have obtained it again when the opportunity arise. "Well, what's your highest streak on berry toss?"
Alex held his tongue from cursing, not because he was a gentleman type, but because opening his mouth in this weather would make him hate it even more. This little Gligar was a bit more difficult to catch than he thought. He dug his bag for an Ultra Ball this time, and aimed to toss it at the Gligar again.
"Hey, just don't fight the ball and you'll be out of this cold. Just relax and let it hold onto you." Gig added before Alex tossed another one. After his bug chirped some words, Alex tossed the ball again.
OOC: Still using those posts above for exp boost, if capture is successful.

Gligar’s eyes widened as the smile across its mouth stretched as wide as it possibly could. The question that Gig asked the purple bat got Gligar to think way back to the days when that battle occurred. Quickly, Gligar glanced around the open and snowy terrain and tried its hardest to recall if it had been snowing then, as well. Was there small chunks of ice hurling through the howling winds and slamming into Gligar’s sides and back, like there was today? Or was it a bright and sunny environment during the hottest summer day of long ago? Hmm. “You know…” It mused underneath it’s voice as Alex fished for yet another ball, “It was frosty but not snowy that day…I don’t think the harsh winter weather had yet started…” It explained. What day was that? Did they call that ‘Autumn’ or something like that? When Alex tossed the large black ball with bright yellow lettering painted over the top of its dome, Gligar immediately flew up as high as it could and stretched its wings out at either of its sides. It needed to show off as much of its body as it could so that this young trainer couldn’t possibly miss it! But the Ultra Ball was spinning so fast through the air that Gligar couldn’t make out the direction it was headed in. “Oh no, no, no! You can’t miss me! I need you to capture me!” It squeaked and swooped after the ball, which might have hit it perfectly if Gligar hadn’t moved. Instead, the Ultra Ball soared just underneath Gligar’s body and slammed against the side of a large Oak Tree, shattering into a thousand bitty pieces. “Noooo! WHYYY!” Gligar swooped down and tried to glue all the pieces back together. “It’s ok! Really! I can still be captured. See! See?!” It cried, placing the pieces of the Ultra Ball all around its body to try and show that it had been ‘captured’. It really wanted to believe that this would work, even when it was painfully obvious that it wouldn’t. “UGH! NO! WHHYYY!!” Blinded by its confused rage, Gligar’s pinchers began glowing and it slashed at everything around it in anger. It managed to nick Gig in the side, as well as the sides of quite a few trees…as soon as it saw what it did to Gig, it felt bad. “Oh no! I’m so sorry! I was just…really upset the ball missed me. Why? Why’d it miss?” It asked Legigant. Wild Encounter Weather: Snow Storm (hail) [attr="class","qkt-bkgd"] [attr="class","qkt-wild-pkmn"] Gligar LV 18 HP 23% [13/56]

Whirlipede thought. A frosty weather but before winter. "So uh... that was either end of autumn or early Winter then. Was it windy at least? Had the leaves fallen yet or turn orange? Unless the trees here don't do that."
However, his conversation was soon cut short when the ball was seen flying. He rolled his eyes ball to track the ball, only for the Gligar to miss it entirely and it got broken by hitting a critical with a tree. Gig knew that his trainer wasn't that bad at throwing a ball, so perhaps the winter storm and falling ice and lowered temperature made the capture device more fragile than some people's ego.
"Okay first, you can stop being dramatic about the ball missing. This isn't the first time it happened. Second, when I said relax, I mean just be normal. You don't have to stretch out your arms and all that." The bug began chirping and explaining again. "It's more than a bit windy today. More like it's a strong wind, so it's possible the ball got blew by the wind. My human also don't like the cold, so maybe he got a bit weaker." He paused to think, so the narrator don't have to write a huge wall of speech. "He's probably going to try this again, so just stay still, look at me and not at the ball or the man. Maybe looking at me will help you relax."
Even though Alex could not understand a word those two were saying, he just quickly grabbed another Pokeball that didn't look red and tossed it, and it was a Great Ball this time.

"Why? Why does it matter?" The gligar asked and grinned, "what are we even talking about? weather? I just know I'd like to get out of this one and that your trainer can do that!" It exclaimed and glanced at Alex, what was he waiting for? The wind was cold and the ice hurt it as it kept drumming on its soft hide, it wanted to get away and somewhere warm and cozy. After the ultra ball had been destroyed, gligar looked tearfully up at Gig, "but, it was my biggest chance! And I messed it up again, I always do that! I'm one big huge failure who can't even figure out to let a human catch me when both they and I want to! I'm a lost cause! I should just stay out here and freeze to death and be gone with it!" It wailed pitifully. It rubbed its non existing nose as it sniffled, "you think so? You really think it was not just my fault and that he still wants me?"It ducked its head and its body shone slighty as it hardened it to withstand the cold and the hail, "its really not fun out here anymore, do you think we'll succeed soon?" It asked quietly and gazed into Gig's one eye on the side of his body. A little smile hid in the corner of its mouth, "it's a bit weird when I can only see one, and its so big! How do you avoid getting ice in your eyes?"While Alex was a skilled trainer who had thrown more balls that any narrator would be able to keep account of, and most readers would find that piece of trivia boring anyway, anyone could make mistakes. While the last missed ball certainly hadn't been Alex fault, this one was, even if it was an accident. He aimed and the throw would have been spot on if he hadn't slipped slightly forward in the snow, so he ended up hurling the great ball directly into the ground where it shattered. The gligar's head spun in his direction at the sound and it stared at the remains of the pokball at his feet. "Is he angry wtih me?" It whispered wide eyed and glanced sadly at Gig. Perhaps he had even given up now and wouldn't risk any more pokeballs? Wild Encounter Weather: Snow Storm (hail) [attr="class","qkt-bkgd"] [attr="class","qkt-wild-pkmn"] Gligar LV 18 HP 16% [9/56]

"Just trust me, if this wasn't a winter storm maybe he'll throw better when he wasn't shivering," The bug replied. While he did not mean to throw shade at Alex-- thankfully he couldn't understand every Pokemon language-- himself, Gig just wanted to try his best to calm down the Gligar.
"Son--" Gig meant that sarcastically, as he wasn't sure what gender the Gligar was either; he meant "son" like a parent figure talking to their children figure. "I hope so too. Once you get captured, I'll return to my Pokeball too. It looked like luck wasn't on much of our sides today."
Gig rolled his eyes back to front when he heard Alex tossed another capture device. When it landed in the snow, he couldn't help but sighed quietly, that would be drowned out by the pelting snow storm. "I don't think he was angry at you. I've seen him angry at himself more than at other things. Let's try this again when he throw another ball. Just close your eyes, and stay still."
After Gig chirped, Alex threw a Great Ball this time. Between the three of them, this was a test of patience.

Gligar glanced at Gig and then up at the sky, it blinked as hail rained in its face and it shook a claw at it. "How dare you! Destroying everything you are, my day, the trainers throwing and probably a lot of other things too! No one likes to be cold and freeze and get attacked by ice without any chance of fighting back! Its really unfair what you are doing and you should stop! right now! you hear me! I would come and come and teach you a lesson if I could!" It shouted at the sky and then grinned to Gig. "There! Now I told it a thing or two!" The part ground type drew a sharp breath when Gig called it son, this sounded really important! It nodded eagerly along but then got a long face, "but what if I mess it up again? I haven't really done great until now, all my attempts to speed things up and help out just went down the creek." It sighed and pouted. It looked worriedly at Gig when he told it to just stand still, "sounds really hard, couldn't he just come over here and bob it against me instead of throwing it? I'll try," it said and grabbed one of Gig's stingers and closed its eyes. It gasped excitedly when it felt something hit it on the head, and it opened its eyes just as the red light engulfed it. The bug and poison type was going to tell the Gligar that, while Alex could have gone and just poke it with a capture device, the sensation would be strange for most Pokemon. In turn, most Pokemon would lash out an attack and it would be a bad idea for a human to be that close after aggravated by a capture device. Thankfully, the Gligar finally went into the capture device, and he did not have to answer the Gligar for now, and return to the safety of his Pokeball.
However, it was time for him to transform into his final form. His body glowed white in the blanketing white snow, uncurling himself like a growing plant uncurling their leaves. The round and rolling Pokemon was now a tall and tough Scolipede with rough and strong armor. He can stand tall to face the day and the night. He stretched his multitude of feet and new body, before grinning and giggling at Alex for his new form.
"You did it! You had finally reached your final form! Let's all get some rest and show your new form to your friends!" Alex thanked his Pokemon, and they returned to Pokemon Center lodging for the night. The next day, it seemed that the snow had melted, but during most of the day, Alex and his team were all hanging out in the court yard, with different Pokemon riding on Scolipede to have some fun.
When it was evening, Alex returned to the wilderness again for some more training. The wind was blowing gently, and it did not take long for Alex to notice a pink blob dropping from a tree. He had seen bug types and some flying types and some tree-crawling Pokemon dropping from a tree to surprise attack, but not a Ditto. This was a first.
OOC: evolve. Requesting Ditto from Route 35 Gonna put setting as "night" so I can evolve Snom next battle.
