"Nice work Tartarus!" Sara called out to the little rat. Sara listened as the other trainers started talking about trying to capture the pokemon. "Lugia...?" Sara said to herself, as someone spoke the monster's name out loud. She had never even heard of the pokemon before. "Alright Tartarus, get in there and attack, we can't just rely on weakening it. Use Bite!" Sara called out to Tartarus. Tartarus nodded to itself, trying to summon their courage. Other pokemon were attacking the monster, now it was their turn. The small Rattata charged in, giving it their all. Sara didn't put much stock in the idea that capturing such a pokemon was even possible. I mean, sure, on TV the elite trainers had some large pokemon, but they were elite trainers. Sara looked around the beach, surely there weren't any elite trainers still there. Wouldn't they just have ridden back to the mainland by now, or helped in the escape efforts more? Since they had been stranded on the island, Sara had mostly kept to herself, fishing and poking around the beach for food, just to make sure everyone was well fed. She hadn't considered some people taking the situation as an opportunity to have a tropical getaway and capture some rare pokemon. Maybe they were even just trying to take advantage of the situation to capture a legendary pokemon like the one in front of them now.

The first trainer shouted with an Ice Beam attack, which would be definitely more powerful than Smack Down. The white and majestic Ninetales looked pretty under the moonlight, and it was paired well with the trainer with flowy and long hair. Other trainers began discussing capturing it while continuing their attacks. One had a bug type using Struggle Bug, and Penelope was thinking maybe she could use her Vivillon's Struggle Bug in the future to help debuff the Lugia's special attacks as well. She made a note from the marshmallow girl that there was, indeed, a Lugia in the beach before. "Well, that's not good if there's more Lugia." Penelope added her comment. "Do they talk to each other to attack us at the beach every now and then to keep us here?""Or if it's the same one, did it got stronger?" she asked curiously, not that anybody would have the answer. "Dwebble, everybody's attaching, so let's go for a Smack Down too!" She shouted and made her move. The dual type opened its mouth and fired a glowing ball of energy to smack the Lugia down, whether that it's physically or its ego, it's up for discussion.

Tyler was awoken by all the noise outside and was just about to ask what the hell was going on when he saw Lugia battling a number of other survivors. " Of course something like this would happen. Höllenhund it looks like we are going to need your help here. Mania be ready just in case I need you as well." He said as he tossed the Pokeball containing Höllenhund in front of him. The Houndoom roared as he appeared before laying eyes on the legendary Pokemon. With it's weakened physical defense Tyler decided to go for a super effective hit in hopes of causing a lot of damage. " Höllenhund do not give Lugia a moment to rest, your Feint Attack should be perfect in a situation like this. Chase it down and show no mercy."

Aurora, Raider, Geodude, and Tsubasa were battered and Lugia buffed itself!
Lugia drew Höllenhund into a small whirl pool;
Dwebble was caught at the edge!

Making his way up the beach front Senchi couldn't believe the strange weather, nor how quickly it had come out of no where. " Where did this storm come from ? and why is it so violent?" Asking him self advancing up the island. That's when he noticed it, the Battle up ahead. It was the other survivors from the crash! The situation mirrored a giant battle, no it wasn't any battle it was a legendary. one he had only read about in books a Lugia to be exact. Was he dreaming or had he sustained some sort of injury? The young trainer shook his head a little there was no time to ponder any thing. The other trainers needed help and he was more then happy to join the frey. Who was he going to use that was the major question. "Shrew! Sand shrew! Shrew! " Me first boss ! I'll take that over grown bird down with one shoot! Hey Big dumb and ugly come at me! " The little yellow ground type screamed out moving as fast as possible toward the on going battle. " Toph! you crazy armadillo get back here! That thing will eat you up! What are you going to do use Rollout on it? That's the best attack you got! "
That was just the move Toph had in mind as well.

It looked as though Shinya's idea had gotten some mixed reactions from the other trainers, and that caused the Bug type trainer to shrug his shoulders and let out a small sigh. Then, unable to keep his retorts to himself, he raised his voice once more, primarily directing it at the trainers who doubted his plan. "Well, if any of you have a better idea for how we can get of this Arceus forsaken rock, then believe me, I'd love to hear it! I don't know about the rest of ya, but I've had enough of this place!" True, this island had provided Shinya with some valuable Pokemon, items, and experiences, but by this point, he was starting to feel like his time here had run its course. Afterall, how could he expand Team Skull's influence if he was stuck on a rock in the middle of the ocean? Fortunately, with even more trainers joining the battle, it looked as though the tide was beginning to turn in their favor, as Lugia looked like it really felt the attacks from the last round. Seeing this, the Team Skull grunt was quick to grin and call Wimpod back to his Pokeball, deciding to take advantage of yet another of the Diving Pokemon's weaknesses. "That'll do for now, Wimpod! Come on back!" Shinya put Wimpod's Pokeball away, grabbed a new one, pressed the button on it, then threw it into the fray as hard as he could. "It's time to shock this legend's system! Wouldn't ya say, Joltik?!" Shinya's second Pokemon of choice appeared on the battlefield, all charged up and ready to rumble. "Joltik! Jol! Jol! Joltik!"

The Lugia was powerful, sending its whirlpool and rocks at everyone. When more newcomers joined the fray, Penelope was glad to have more help, but the legendary's retaliation quickly took out her Dwebble. While the Whirlpool was aimed at the Houndoom near her, the splashes of water was enough to drown the poor Dwebble into unconsciousness. Penelope patted off some water off of her, and then kneeled down to thank her unconscious Pokemon for helping. She was wondering briefly who to send out next, but decided that it was her turn to use her Vivillon again. Since the weird bug Pokemon by Lei had set up Light Screen earlier, it was likely close to fading away, and not to mention there's newer Pokemon joining into the fray. Although, she also wasn't sure if the Light Screen was enough to reduce the impact of the Lugia's attack. This might be one of those situation that, anything would be better than nothing. If her memory was correct though, when the Lugia attacked, she thought she still see some remnant of the Light Screen under the moonlight, and she decided to not set up Light Screen yet. "Go for a Struggle Bug, Horizon!" She hollered her order. "And hold on to this feather," she spoke, finding a feather from her bag for the flying bug.

Geodude didn't last long, and shorter than Lei had hoped. He had rocketed himself into the air, smacked into the side of the legendary and then got buried beneath a rocky avalanche. "I can throw rocks too," Lei mumbled and let out an aron who froze in shock at the sight in front of them, then it snorted and without getting ordered ran forward. "Stand back! I'll protect you! I'm armored!" It shouted and would try get in front of anyone who was targeted by Lugia, to take the hit, since of course its metal armor would be able to handle anything! "Rock Tomb!" Lei shouted after her pokemon, if they could lock it in place it would be much easier. Lei's pokeball never reached its target, she wasn't sure it had noticed she had thrown one at all. It had been smashed to pieces as it encountered one of the rocks the legendary had thrown around. The thought of her being hit by one of the rocks didn't reach her mind, she hurled another pokeball at it, hoping to at least distract it a bit. It didn't seem like others were in on the plan, not even Shinya who had suggested it. Cowards. It just meant Lei had a bigger chance of getting the big fish herself. "Anyone here able to make a light screen?" Einstein called out strained, she fought to keep the one she had put up going but she couldn't hold it much longer.

Sara smiled as her rattata managed to get in a good hit and come back unscathed. "Alright Tartarus, another one!" Sara called out. The little rat pokemon looked back at her nervously. "Okay, okay, lets keep our distance and use Tail Whip instead then." Sara said. Tartarus looked like he would have gone back in to bite the Lugia again if it could have, but their nerves were getting the best of them. It was probably best to not draw the ire of the giant monster if at all possible, and maybe take a step back, especially since they had just gone in and gotten a decent attack off. Sara thought about responding to Shinya, but Sara couldn't help but to notice Shinya's team Skull garb. She recalled from when she lived in Alola that gang members in that organization would often hang out, and she thought perhaps it was better to hold her tongue. Sara hadn't spent much time socializing with the other castaways, but she considered that maybe after this battle was done it would be in her best interest to really get to work trying to get off the island. It seemed she wasn't alone in that sentiment.

Aphrodite could hear the other trainer engaging in conversations with each other. Normally, she would not mind joining in on their conversation, but at this point, she was more focused on taking down the Lugia to bring peace to the island. Aphrodite's warm golden eyes widen the moment she noticed the Lugia sending forth flurries of rocks. "Aurora, dodge those rocks!" Aphrodite commanded her Pokemon. Although Aurora is known to be nimble and graceful, the Alolan Ninetales were not able to avoid being hit by the flying rock. Aurora let out a painful howl as she felt the rocks make contact with her body. "Ugh, we have to take this Lugia out right now before it wipes us all out," she hissed. Aurora shook off the pain that she endured from the rocks and let out a quick howl as she waited for her trainer to give her the next command. "Dazzling Gleam!" Aphrodite ordered her Pokemon. She would watch for signs to see if the Lugia is still confused or not. If it is no longer confused then she will command Aurora to use Confuse Ray next turn or at least if the Lugia is still standing the next round.  Alolan Ninetales | Lv 25 used Dazzling Gleam!

The Lugia's next round of attacks had scored a series of knockouts, and it seemed to be recovering strength from the sea. "Uhh... Keep at it, Citrine! Use Leer attack!" There wasn't much else the little Cyndaquil could do. Trixie thought about switching to a different Pokemon, but she didn't have any Rock-types handy, and if she did, surely the Lugia would turn its aggression onto her own Pokemon? No, much better for those who had the heavy hitters to be shouldering the brunt of the fighting. She'd help out however she could. "Anyone hungry?" she asked, trying to lighten the mood. Citrine spat more Embers onto the fire, and Trixie readied a new round of s'mores. "I know food like this can't heal your Pokemon, but we can at least try to keep our spirits up!"

"I know this is going to be a risk, Raider, but let us go out as close to the ocean as possible and use Surf. I just hope it will only hit Lugia and no one else."
Selenia walks out towards the edge of the beach with her Remoraid following her. The Pokemon jumped into the water feeling a bit refreshed and started making a wave heading towards Lugia.
(OOC: The hope is Raider is far enough in front of the group that no one else will get caught. I also know this could put Raider at risk for other hazards.)

The sleek feathered being reared back into the drop off just passed the shallow waters after the first few hits rammed into its feet. A hiss of soreness could be heard from Lugia; an undertone of its song-like voice. Though, there was a sudden uncontrolled pitch at one point, as if suffering a voice crack of sorts. The involuntary noise jarred the legendary. Agitating it nearly as much as the houndoom swirling about its generated whirl pool. When the surf came from the little fish Lugia dipped into the waters, hands fanned in the crystal clear water rushing to join the torrential wave. It waited, squinting through the kaleidoscope of confusion twinkling through its minds eye. The sound was more than familiar enough to guide its actions. The wave hit and Lugia scooped downward with it, churning the waters with a mix of its own and splashing it back to the shore with magnificent grace. Most crashed against bare beach, but it did get far enough to ruin the lovely marshmallow fire and wet the fire type beside it. Luckily the light screen was there to shield them from the worst. Lugia sang out, a clarity returning to it in convenient timing. Nose crinkling, the diving pokémon instantly turned on the frosty fox. It seemed upset about something as it locked on. Lugia flew into the air and dove down onto the exotic ice type with a thundering smash. Sand flew to obscure the immediate area in a brief dusty haze. With a huff the legendary whisked it all away with a burst of wind before turning to consider the rest that opposed it. Lugia snapped out of confusion!
With laser focus it swiped at Aurora!
Then failed to find anyone else!

Penelope was thinking differently to the method of distracting Lugia. Could they be loud enough to drown out the oceanic songs? Or maybe create enough noise that the sound was a disturbance to the legendary? "Um..." Penelope grabbed a stick of chocolate covered marshmallows as she began explaining her thought, and also waiting for it to cool down while she talked. "What if we make it loud enough that Lugia got distracted? It is kind of dark out, so maybe Lugia can't really see the Pokeballs?" It was a wild idea, but in addition to the crashing sound of waves, they would have to be loud enough to achieve that goal. However, it'll save on broken Pokeballs. The Lugia was obviously starting to struggle from the confusion and weakening, as it took some difficulty for it to single handedly wipe out the pretty white furred Ninetales. However, the legendary did not target other Pokemon in the fray afterwards. "HO-RI-ZON!" She shouted loudly as she cupped her hands around her mouth. "USE. LIGHT. SCREEEEN!" She called loudly to make her own voice. It was also definitely her turn to use Light Screen now. Maybe other trainers like Lei wouldn't like her shouting, as she did when they fought Suicune, but Penelope was a little naive about this and also did not want to use her own Pokeballs.

Even though Shinya didn't enjoy being ignored, he was still grateful that Lugia didn't seem to acknowledge the existence of him or his Pokemon, and continued to go after other trainers and their Pokemon instead. The Bug type trainer wondered if it had something to do with the extremely noticeable difference in size between the Diving Pokemon and his Bug types, especially Joltik. Whatever the case, Shinya continued to grin his usual grin, more than happy to take advantage of any and all openings the legendary Pokemon gave him. But before he called out his next order, the scents of chocolate and marshmallows suddenly filled his nostrils. The Team Skull grunt lost his grin in favor of a more surprised and confused expression, then immediately turned his head, very surprised to see that one of his fellow trainers was making smores on the battlefield. Naturally, Shinya had no idea what this trainer was thinking, nor could he be bothered to remember her name. Still, she offered, and if Shinya was being honest, the treats she made did look pretty good. "Meh. What the heck? I could eat." The trainer from Alola said with a shrug of his shoulders, then walked over to Trixie's campfire and helped himself to one of the smores she made. "Thanks, sweetheart." Was all Shinya had to say, doing so in a nonchalant tone of voice, and with his mouth full, having taken a bite from his smore of choice before speaking. Even though they were still in the heat of battle, he was completely calm, enjoying a few more bites of the hot treat in his hand before turning his attention back towards said battle. And as he did, he reached for an empty Pokeball from his bag with his free hand. Lei made a good point earlier. If anyone was going to capture Lugia, then they all had to get serious about it. And even though Lugia wasn't a Bug type Pokemon, why couldn't "anyone" be Shinya? As his grin returned, the Team Skull grunt thought of all the ways he could benefit from capturing such a rare and powerful Pokemon. "Let's hit this beast of the sea right where it hurts, Joltik! Use Electroweb and aim for its left wing! If it can't use its wings, it can't get away!" Joltik heard Shinya's words loud and clear, and used her small size to her advantage, skittering over to Lugia without being seen. Once she reached the legend, Joltik crawled right up its body, and onto its left wing. "Tik! Tik! Joltik!" Once she was in place, Joltik was quick to spin a huge web made of electrically charged threads, wrapping it tightly around Lugia's left wing, giving the Psychic/Flying type a super effective shock, and lowering its speed stat in the process.
