NOTES - replacing pound with quick attack, self updating, requesting trainer <3 Raiden watched as the ball that he tossed captured the pokemon safely inside and put him that much closer to the next goal in his journey. Swablu would need a few more levels before she was ready for any real fights, but Treecko was getting much stronger with each fight that he went into even if he was a bit of a brat the entire time. Maybe he would grow out of that by the time he evolved into his next stage, no time to be a baby if they had plans to take on the gym and win.
The trainer moved to pick up the ball that had stopped rocking as he would store it away and maybe be able to give the Pokemon a home with someone else, or he could evolve it at a later time for that pokedex quest that the professor had given him. That would be good, but it wasn't the first thing he had on his mind. Putting the Pokeball away and still holding onto Swablu with one arm he looked back to Treecko. "Well done. A few more levels and we can finally get out of here. Wouldn't you like to see something else other than this route?" Raiden sure would. At this point, he was sure he had circled the whole thing more than a few times.
Cardio was good at least, if it wasn't freezing as heck outside. As the temperature dropped and snow began to fall he was sure that Poochyena could use a break. "I'll bring you back out later, but not when it's getting colder." a small yip from the canine in understanding as he recalled her back into her ball. "Take a rest while I look for your next battle." he said to Treecko as well recalling the small grass type so only the cloud puff remained. Making sure to hold her close to his chest and nestling her between his jacket and shirt until she was comfortable he once more got back on his bike and looked for yet another problem to handle.

NOTES - quick attack, then pokeball please! swablu has exp share! Raiden felt like the snow falling was getting worse and worse as he began his trek around the route once more. There were probably a few times that he had traveled in the same circle but it was all worth it if he could eventually get his Pokemon trained where he wanted them to be. Treecko was very close and he was excited for that thought. It meant he was just one step closer to actually being ready to move on because even his patience was only so willing to remain for so long. Even now it was harder to peddle the bike because the snowfall was getting clumped up on the ground.
He was glad that he had recalled the Pokemon back into their balls because he didn't want them to get cold. The good thing about Swablu was that it was nestled in his clothes and it had a lot of fur to help with that. Though it seemed that they didn't get far before it seemed another Pokemon wanted to do the same with the snow that was falling. A pidgey seemed to notice and wings flapped trying to get close to the place where Swablu was resting. <"Hey, I'm here you can't be here too!"> the small swablu spoke up about the pidgey trying.
"Sorry buddy I don't have room but I can get you out of the cold." and train at the same time. Grabbing a ball from his side releasing Treecko once more from his ball. "Welcome back buddy I have one more thing for you." he said with a motion to the bird. Treecko gave him a look considering this was a pokemon that he was weak against. Raiden shook his head some at that and knew that he was worried. "It's too low a level so I don't think it will have a move that will hurt you." he explained. The treecko squinted his eyes at his trainer before begrudgingly facing the flying pokemon.
<"Any chance you'll just I don't know, fly away?"> he tried but he doubted that such would work against the pokemon. "Alright Treecko, let's do a quick attack!" Raiden called and the pokemon attempted to hit the flying type while it was grounded or at least close enough to hit. It was only after Raiden hoped that the attack hit that he pulled a pokeball from his bag and tossed it at the bird pokemon, he had said he would take it out of the cold after all.

NOTES - self updated, swablu is out An excellent capture, which meant that he was one step closer to finally being able to leave here. All his Pokemon were so close to being the right level that he wanted. It was just one left that he needed to get a few more levels on and then he was ready to continue forward. "Well done Treecko." he called as the grass type seemed quite proud of himself. Making his way from his bike to the little grass type he gave a gentle pat on his head before recalling him back into his ball so he wouldn't have to deal with the weather. Raiden wished it was that simple for him to recall into a ball and have it out of this weather. After that was handled and the ball placed back on his side he grabbed the new ball that now hosted the pidgey inside. "We'll make sure you're taken care of." Whether that was with him or with someone else Raiden wasn't sure at that moment. He would never put a Pokemon in a situation that would be bad for it. The convict already had his mind set on the team that he wanted, but he didn't know what could happen in the future. Things were always changing and that was something he knew better than anyone. Swablu seemed to be getting stronger at just watching the Pokemon fights sure that she too could be like that! "What do you think, you want to watch more battles or participate yourself?" he asked. The bird seemed to chirp some adding to the fact that she was ready! For now, Raiden would keep the exp share with her just in case the Pokemon that showed up was of a higher level, but if he was sure she could take it on he did have another Pokemon on his team that could use it. "Alright then, let's see if we can find you a challenger." he said putting his butt back on his bike and forcing the bike to move. One thing was clear, he could only do this a few more times before it would be back to walking for him. Bike tires did not like piled-up snow. [googlefont=Karla] |

From a nearby patch of grass a lonely Sentret walked out in front of Raiden hoping the young trainer would give it some food even if it had to fight for it. It would not take no for an answer one way or another.  Sentret (Level 7) either wants food or a battle. Will you give it food? If not please select a Pokemon. NOTES - Swablu used Growl! There was an understanding that things were only gonna get worse as the weather continued to spit snow at the two of them. Raiden made sure that Swablu was completely covered as much as he could at least in these conditions. Soon they would be able to leave and reach the city where they could find a place to stay and finally leave New Bark Town far behind them. He would be lucky if he didn't come back here any time soon, and that would be too soon. It didn't take long for them to find the next thing that would cross their path. An interested Sentret, a pokemon that he had already caught once before. This meant throwing a ball for an easy win was kind of out of the question unless he wanted to give the Pokemon away which was definitely possible. Raiden didn't want to do that unless he had to though considering it felt like he was giving pokemon false hope. Though the pokemon did look quite strong he hoped that Swablu would be able to stand up to the normal type. "Alright, let's try and see what happens, if you need help I'll send in another pokemon to help." he told the little bird pokemon who seemed content enough to take the idea. <"We don't have any food, but I'll battle you!"> she chirped in reply to the request of the Sentret. "Alright Swablu let's get started with a Growl! Let's get that attack down so it won't hurt you as much." he said as the Swablu stored up all her energy and then growled at the creature, well, tried to at least consider it was hard for a bird to growl. NOTES - Switching exp sure to swablu, adding muscle band to pancham, self updating, switching pancham, then arm thrust (if allowed)! It seemed like such a great idea when he had started this, use a growl to lower the attack of the pokemon and then Swablu would be able to chip away at it. But he didn't calculate the fact that a critical could happen. Not to mention the pokemon had more moves than swablu. The little bird made a cry when the pokemon hit quite hard, angry at her response to not having food. It was definitely a punishable offense in the pokemons eyes, taking the decline to heart but the little bird had a lot of heart. Even with her injured she still gave a growl at the pokemon. "S$@!" it came out before he realized he had cursed. He had sworn off bad language but it was serious when Swablu looked so bad. "It's alright Swablu, come back we'll deal with this a different way." he said moving to grab a different ball. Knowing that the pokemon would get a move but with that growl it shouldn't be as hard as this time. "Come on Pancham, time to show your stuff." he said. They would have to endure this one but afterward they could definitely get involved more. "Once you hold out we are gonna use arm thrust." he said picking up the bird after it had been hurt. <"That was kind of rude."> she huffs at the pokemon, she understood being hungry but it didn't have to be so mean about it. Pancham on the other hand was more than happy to be sent out on a real battle, because he wanted to show what he was capable of. [googlefont=Karla] |
