She often wears sensible shoes, sturdy little boots that are perfect for travelling. She likes practical clothes but likes to at least make them look pretty and fashionable. She can't be seen without her sakura flower bag and her camera, bringing it with her to catalogue her adventures. She doesn't wear make-up, and rarely wears any jewellery or other accessories, but if something catches her eye she wouldn't say no. As long as it goes with her outfit.
Personality: Small but full of optimism. Ava is a young lady pining for adventure and fun. She's used to running around in the wilderness, but not a full-blown region-spanning escapade. She adores nature and Pokemon. All different kinds. She has lofty aspirations of becoming a world-renowned breeder and coordinator, but whether or not she can accomplish that will be seen. She likes to take photographs of the Pokemon and pretty things she sees in the world, and it became a part of the reason she wanted to start on her Pokemon journey, a nice way to see and meet many Pokemon and environments.
Despite her somewhat simple style, she adores pretty Pokemon and loves to dress them up too. Pokemon Contests have always impressed her, but she's not one to shy away from a good battle either. If you can fight off an opponent and look pretty doing so, then you can crush a contest no problem. She's not afraid to branch out. Participate in contests, battles, and hey let's see if she can get her own ranch and fill it with all the Pokemon in the world!
History: Ava grew up in Azalea town, with her mother working as a florist and her father working to produce charcoal. She experienced a lot of nature there, wandering in the forest with her father, and helping her mother in the shop. She was exposed to a lot of Pokemon and fun experiences. She had many positive experiences, and many positive influences. Her parents were very open about her focussing on her hobbies, and what she loved, and put little pressure on her to do anything specific in life. It was a little overwhelming for her, at first. No real guidance from her parental figures, but the encouragement to do what she loved at least let her figure it out, even if she floundered a bit.
She loved photography, she loved Pokemon and the idea of being a trainer and a coordinator. She loved the idea of collecting as many Pokemon as possible. She wanted to do all of it. And, in theory, she could. So at the age of seventeen she announced that she would go on her journey and get her Pokemon and travel all over the region! Her parents were encouraging, of course, and off she went.
She got as far as Violet City before she gave up on her first attempt. She had a nasty run-in with some thugs before she even had the chance to get to New Bark Town to get her first Pokemon. It spooked her, and she ran back home with her tail between her legs. Her parents encouraged her, supported her, and comforted her.
It wasn't too long before she got the courage to try again, all it took was a birthday and the gift of a brand new camera and a scrapbook journal where she could put all of her thoughts and pictures, and she was raring to go again. This time around, her father accompanied her all the way to New Bark Town. Just in case. And now, her journey can really, really begin.
Goals: Become a well-known Trainer, Coordinator and/or Breeder. Nothing wrong with aiming for all three!!
Other Info: She'll spend all her money on accessories for her Pokemon, and customising their Pokeballs and even them if she can get away with it.
