Welcome to ZapdosZulu! My name is Professor Oak. Are you ready to spin your own tale of grand adventure from New Bark to Mt. Silver in the classic regions of Johto and Kanto?
You can travel alone or with friends, helping trainers, rescuing wild pokemon, or fighting off villains along the way! There will be many challenges, but you can handle them in any order you like or skip some entirely.
Once you're ready to Start Your Adventure, head over to my colleague's lab to register. He's had a recent break-in so doesn't have the normal starters on offer unfortunately. But I have supplied him some to support new trainers.

Hey! Great to see you are setting out on your journey! If you need any help with how to begin, someone left these helpful beginner RP tips.
Before you travel you should know:
- Pokemon grow strong by battling; even if their opponent is captured.
- Before you earn your first badge you can capture pokemon even if they fainted.
- Your pokemon will auto-heal between battles outside of quests and challenges.
- It may not always work, but thinking out-of-the-box may be rewarded both in and outside of battle. Encourage your pokemon, use strategy beyond technical mechanics, sometimes it might just work!
- You can't control whether your pokemon dodge, miss, land a critical hit, hold on by a thread, etc. But remember! Losing is not failing. Some of the most memorable moments arise from losses.
- If you're facing a ferocious wild pokemon remember you can run! Doesn't work for trainers though; they'll chase you down after making eye contact!
While you must progress through Johto locations in order, how you get there is up to you; provided you fulfill any minimum requirements. New Bark Town for example only requires completing 1 battle.
And don't forget about us back here! You can freely backtrack through any area you've visited previously.
If you're ever feeling lonely, you can find a friend or bring along your own [NPC]. Though, if you understand what your pokemon are saying maybe that's company enough! I hear some trainers can do that. Fascinating to say the least!
