Brenna rushed forward with the energy and excitement only a youth could truly generate. As the pup moved in and out of the sand clouds, her form blurred and faded as if she were nothing but a spirit incorporeal blurring the lines between existence and not. At least that was how she appeared to the Ekans whom could barely see the world, now obviously though blind the snake wasn't stupid enough to think she was some sort of spectra since she had indeed tackled him, though hitting her was like hitting a ghost.
Leering towards Brenna Ekans amassed all of it's irritation and flung it about towards the small puppy. It was almost possible to see the loathing that came from the leer as it left the snakes blurred and teary eyes. Ekans focused everything it had at the pup all the annoyance from it's inability to land a hit and for having been out snaked by a Pidgey! Brenna gazed at the snakes eyes and her legs trembled a little bit as she took a step back from the intimidation of the snake, as her defense started to drop!
However damaged Brenna's nerves were the little pup rushed in regardless, headfirst she moved to tackle her foe. Rushing forward with all of her might the tiny pups little paws hit the ground over and over as she rushed forward. Striking the Ekans head on knocking it backwards with a powerful blow wounding the snake even further along. Ekans was badly hurt now and it's breath was rapid as the snake struggled to pull it's self up again

sarai smythe Sarai beamed at the little puppy, quite happy with her performance. ”Excellent work, Brenna! I believe your work is done now....” The trainer turned blue-gray eyes to the purple and yellow serpent on the ground where it struggled. Taking in a deep breath, she blew it out as she considered her canine’s ophidian adversary. ”You’ve put up a good fight, but this is now over.” She declared, and hauled back her right arm. Zonde, clinging to the young woman’s right shoulder, had the presence of mind to be surprised. <But... when did she pull that out?> He asked wide-eyed as the indigo-haired trainer swung her arm forwards in an expert pitch, the ball aimed at the center of the snake pokemon. <Ah wouldn’ worry too much abaht it...> Bilani rumbled from her place in the shoulderbag. The black-eyed croc looked thoroughly relaxed, enjoying the show. <Sarai has such de-liciously suprahsin’ ways about her, yew can’t expect t’ taste everythin’ she does.><Does not compute.> Megrim declared, hovering around in front of Sarai’s arm to stare with his usual blank ocular orb at the ground-type. <Taste is an inappropriate sense to refer to for this instance.> The steely sphere bobbed slightly, turning to look at the ball as it impacted the ekans and drew it in, then returned its attention to Bilani. <The sense of sight is a far more fitting frame of reference being as it possesses actual relevance.>The metal pokemon was forced to back off slightly as Bilani blew out a thin stream of sand at its lone eye. <Ah know what ah said an’ ah stand bah it.><I just wonder if this will work...> Genevieve piped in from her perch atop Sarai’s head, casting her usual thin-eyed glance on the pidgey roosting opposite Zonde. <I have my doubts about this snake being able to work with such as Cyclone....>Brenna, meanwhile, hopped back and forth beside the rocking pokeball, occasionally yapping at it. <C’mon!> She squeaked out, excited at the continued activity of the sphere after it sucked the snake into itself. <Join us! Join us! Mama’s nice an’ she’ll have you fed so you don’t need to eat our frien’ an’ you can be our frien’ an’ trav’l with us an’ have fun won’t it be great?!?>

It didn’t take Ekans too long to realize that it was screwed. Alright, so, it wanted to register all of this. It fights trainer, trainer wears it down, and now trainer tries to catch it? In what cruel world did that make any freaking sense? Though, with that thought train going it missed its window of escape as the ball was pressed firmly to its center before it was sucked promptly inside. The ball fell to the ground, shaking violently as the Ekans inside struggled to get out. Soon however, all its attempts were thwarted and the ball settled against the dust, clicking shut and signifying capture. Brenna jumped back and forth as the ball finally stopped. They caught it! That meant a new friend and maybe a valuable new team member! Brenna ran behind the ball and began to push it with her nose, edging it towards Sarai. Her Pokedex beeped a few times, prompting her to fill out the new information. ___________________________________________________________ Capture~!Congratulations! Ekans was captured! sarai smythe Sarai laughed softly as Brenna started nosing the pokeball closer to her, stepping forwards with a smile on her face and crouching down. She picked up the ball and gave the enthusiastic puppy a gentle scratch on the back of the neck as Brenna licked at her other hand happily. ”Yes, yes, I love you too, Brenna.” The indigo-haired trainer chuckled as she gave the dog one last pet before standing up. Arching her back slightly in a stretch (though her arms remained down), she looked up at the hot sun still floating overhead, judging it to be only slightly past noon. Wearing a smile that many would think opposed to her method of dress at the moment, she turned and headed for the pokemon center. ”I think a nice hearty lunch sounds good ‘bout now, hmm? I think it’s ‘bout time t’ shuffle th’ team ‘round as well.”Walking with a steady beat, Sarai indulgently whisked the edge of her skirt at Brenna now and then, the puppy eagerly yapping and dancing around the hem of the fabric, enjoying the game. Most of the other pokemon were resting, though Bilani seemed a bit less than sleepy and finally started shifting about in the young woman’s shoulderbag. <Ah wonder if Ah’ll get t’ battlin’ anytahm soon...> The sandile drawled, black eyes keeping track of the canine flitting around. The rather relaxed crocodilian doubted the puppy would be stopping soon, despite the intense heat of the day- particularly not with Sarai’s huge umbrella letting her stay in the shade as she nipped and bounced at the edges of the black skirt. <Ah could use a tasty bit a’ scuffle...>Megrim simply hummed steadily as it floated along behind Sarai, a sound that may well have been a residual effect of its levitation. The magnemite was, frankly, less than intrigued by the concept, most of its focus for the moment on determining how it could prove itself more friendly and useful to the indigo-haired woman. It was Genevieve, draped lazily over Sarai’s right shoulder, that responded. <I, uh... I think she’s likely to bring you out next time... she seems to be giving everyone turns, or something of the sort?> The feline sounded uncertain, but then, she still wasn’t entirely sure about this whole thing. Really, she just wanted her little girl back, to sit in her lap and be petted. That sounded really nice right now. It was Cyclone who spotted the poster on the board outside the pokemon center, flipping a wing out in front of her trainer’s face, pointing at a picture and writing on one particular sheet of paper. Nearly stumbling back as the pidgey on her shoulder shoved a wing in her face, Sarai let out a startled ”Awp!” as she fixed her balance, then tilted her head to look to Cyclone- who cooed and shifted her wing slightly. Stopping outside the pokemon center, Sarai turned to look at the posterboard and blinked a few times before swiping the poster down, leaving the top corners still stapled to the cork. ”...ledyba, hmm?” She mused with a smile. ”Well, I think that’s a pretty good idea. Thanks, Cyclone.”With a contented ”D’joop.” Cyclone refolded her wing and resumed simply roosting, though she kept one eye on the pichu atop the woman’s head. Wouldn’t do to lose a team member to a poor sense of balance, after all. Turning, Sarai entered the pokemon center.
It wasn’t quite an hour later when Sarai re-emerged from the pokemon center with a much calmer stride, and a curious.... accessory? Her team, of course, had changed quite a bit. The sandile head sticking out of her shoulderbag was, of course, familiar, as was the playful puppy prancing about her skirt (if a bit calmer than before). The sandshrew she held with both arms against her belly was a bit different, the brick-patterned pangolin clutching the handle of her umbrella for her. As was the zubat atop her head, though her coloration made her a bit less stand-out, especially as she was up close to the umbrella and atop her trainer’s deep indigo hair, wings gently clinging to some of the strands that made their way into the woman’s massive ponytail. The most curious bit, of course, was Sarai’s strange backpack- until a pair of wings buzzed briefly. The ledyba on her back, easily taken for a pokemon-patterned backpack, clung to her with all six hands, a relatively light weight behind her that Sarai found to actually be a bit reassuring. Emme seemed content to rest there as asked, simply watching the world go by- at least, for the time being. The beetle wasn’t terribly big on battling, so the relaxation was entirely her speed- much less so that of the purple snake hanging about Sarai’s waist, keeping an alert eye out. Horace wasn’t terribly enthusiastic about this- he’d wanted a meal, not a trainer- but if he was stuck here he was damn well going to make the best of it. Besides, he -had- gotten a meal... though it wasn’t a fresh pidgey. Were he able to talk with her, he’d likely have asked the trainer where she’d found a pair of baby rattata (but only so that he could go and get some on his own). He was a bit mercenary, he’d admit it. Parzifal, keeping careful ahold of the umbrella to shelter the rest of the group, watched the buildings go by as Sarai turned, and headed north into the grassy areas. He’d been out there a few times himself, but never for terribly long- while there were more places to hide in the wilderness, he found himself a bit too fond of the open dirt paths (and the occasional bounty of discarded food to drag off and munch on in private) found in the city to have spent much time out there. EkansName: Horace Gender: Male Level: 6 Moves: Leer, Wrap, Poison StingAbility: Shed Skin Nature/Personality: Adamant (+Att/-S.Att) / Mercenary with a heart. Horace takes a very straightforwards and opportunistic view to everything, and is always on the lookout for number one. However, his friends and companions are always number two, and he never forgets that those who he works with are inclined to help him. While he doesn’t have an honor code of the typically expected type, he does have one- mostly about helping others who help you and following through on your promises and decisions. Because of this, he gets along well with Parzifal and other pokemon of honor, despite often using underhanded or ‘dirty’ tactics.
((As this is still post-page-5, I’d like to request that I encounter (not necessarily all at once) at least one each of wild: Mareep, Spinarak, Ralts, and Bellsprout, in no particular order or at-a-time combination- preferably of levels that I can take on with Emme and Horace, the two lowest-level current team members. Speaking of, I’ve shuffled my existing pokemon around and would like Horace added to my team and not to the Pontoon Island Reserves.))

As Sarai and her team began their trek across the long and winding route which linked them towards Violet City, the umbrella which cloaked the female trainer and her team was greatly needed to shade them from the powerful rays of the morning sun. The dirt path was sprinkled with all sorts of loose dirt and rubble, the sound of Sarai's shoes crunching against the uneven earth being one of the many sounds to float through the air.
Groups of leaves began dancing between the breezes on the rare occasion when short spurts of wind occurred. Even the blades of grass and branches of tree's were swaying side to side, happily taking in the much needed sunlight, their underground roots linking to one of the several pools of water in the proximity for whenever they needed a good drink.
Speaking of the shallow pools of water, there was a sudden shriek and splash of commotion happening in the area close by, Sarai and her team only needing to stray a few steps away from the main path to see what had unfolded. To her surprise, Sarai saw a fairly peculiar sight, an incredibly fluffy Mareep stomping about in the shallow waters.
With the amount of wool it wore to cover it's delicate blue skin, there was a chance it had just jumped in there to cool off but appearing to be young, naive and not even able to fully control it's electrical powers, it didn't think of the consequences. Sparks were flying wildly from it's thick wool, flicking into the water and shocking it's ankles, the pain intensifying after being conducted by the water. Small bleats escaping from it's snout as it tried it's best to escape from the electrical trap.
Wearily stepping over the pebbled ledge and back onto dry land, the Mareep tried it's best to shake off the devilish water, sparks of electricity and water droplets flying off in all directions. It wasn't until the approaching Sarai caught the sheep's attention, a murderous frown crossing over it's face at the sight. The way it had turned so angry so quickly being enough to perhaps think that the usually peaceful species of Mareep hadn't merely wanted a swim but was more rather pushed in and was now blaming it on this female trainer.
Unbeknown to all of them, a duo of Mareep were sneaking about in the near by bushes, cackling away at their success of pushing their 'friend' in the water and now having to battle a trainer.
A wild Mareep (Level 6) has challenged you to a battle! Please select a Pokemon.
(( OOC: Unfortunately Spinarak and Bellsprout have been moved over to the Violet board due to the Route Changes, just incase you hadn't seen yet. Also you're more than welcome to update your own Pokemon and such since you're a staff member. xP ))

sarai smythe As she approached the splashing noises, Sarai tilted her head curiously (much to Arita’s consternation, the bat slipping slightly to one side before resecuring her grip with her wingtalons. Moving with fair caution, the indigo-haired trainer peered over the bushes- and spotted what might well be the fluffiest mareep she’d ever seen. Eyes widening, she scrambled between the scrub towards the puddle- just in time to pull back as the sheep seemed to be preparing to attack her. ”Hey, no, I just-“ Sarai started, cutting off as she felt her shoulderbag shift. Still holding Parzifal in front of her, she blinked and glanced down- Bilani’s head wasn’t poking out of her pack anymore. It took her a few moments to spot the little crocodilian in the grass, the black-eyed pokemon steadily trekking forwards to stop a few feet from the much larger sheep. ”...eh?” A bit bewildered, she watched as Bilani began to grumble and grunt meaningfully at the sheep. <Now don’t you go gettin’ yerself all hungered up.> The crocodile scolded. <Not a one of us had anathin’ t’ do with what’s goin’ on here an’ you oughtta know that anaway, wasn’t like we was here earlier.> Tiny feet splaying out in the grass, the ground-type dug her claws in, ready for a fight. <An’ if you ain’t willin’ ta see that, then we’ll maybe be chewin’ you down a peg or two farther’n we would othawise.>That said, the desert-dweller snapped her mouth shut with an audible ‘clomp’, raising her head attentively and giving Sarai a meaningful glance over her shoulder. ”I, uh, what?” The trainer blinked, a bit startled. Was Bilani handling this or not...? That had been more noise out of the pokemon at once than she’d heard since swapping Mellow for her back near New Bark Town. ”Harp harp harp!” Brenna yapped, bouncing from side to side before lowering her head and shoulders with a growl. ”Hrrrrrrrr HARP!””O.. Oh! Right!” Snapping out of her confusion, Sarai shook her head briefly (and got a complaining but thankfully short screel from Arita at all this extra motion). ”Bilani! Sand Attack!”As the crocodile drew in air, preparing to belch out a cloud of grit and dust, the stout trainer quietly apologized to the bat perched atop her head with a slightly embarrassed expression. She thought she’d broken that habit.... ((Yeah, I noticed- but they were still there when I composed that post. In lieu of those I'd like to see Ralts and/or Hoppip next, as those are the two remaining that I want out of what's on the route.))

Having never really seen anything of the creature's description before it, the Mareep was somewhat confused as to what it was. It had seen Totodile before sure but they were blue and stood up. This was of a much sand like brown colour and walked about on all fours. Fluffing itself around with a few more shakes of its woolly coat, the Mareep really couldn't fathom its mind at such an unusual beastie. The way it kept yapping to it was also enough to rub it the wrong way. Unsure of whether or not it should approach it further, the Mareep stood its ground, just as Bilani had entrenched herself in ready for the ensuing duel. Thinking it best to light it up with a few hundred good volts of electricity, the Mareep began shaking itself a little more to get some static electricity going with its woollen coating. It would have attempted to as well had it not been for the raucous belch that eminated directly from the Sandile's mouth. As opposed to just a loud sound, an amazing spray of dirt burst forward and littered itself all over the wild sheep's face. As the concentration of sand died down, it was only then that the remaining stream of sand and grit being forced out began to get entangled with the wind and flow around in the nearby vicinity, making it even harder for the sheep to see. It looked like shocking this opponent to death (And itself having just got itself so soaked) was entirely out of the question. Not that there was a chance to begin with considering Bilani was a Ground type. Still, that was something the Mareep was unaware of. Instead, deciding not to risk an attack, the fed up Mareep decided its best line of action would be to shout. Or more accurately growl viciously at the top of its lungs. With a swift inhale of the air around it and a few particles of sand to boot, the electric sheep spluttered out a fierce sounding growl which made even Bilani stagger back from how angry it sounded. A deceiving sight indeed. Perhaps underneath all of that wool there might have been an absolute bruiser of a Pokemon. Over off in the distance, the two troublemaking Mareep which had caused the fluffy one Sarai was facing were watching the unfolding battle with much amusement. They never particularly cared for it and seeing it up against a trainer with a formidable array of Pokemon bought a constant bout of snickering between the duo. Wild Battle

sarai smythe Sarai frowned slightly as the sheep actually growled at Bilani. Something was off here, and it wasn’t just the sheep taking a dip. After all, it was hot, but she really doubted that any electric type would be daft enough to go out and stand in the middle of some water as a method of cooling off. It didn’t help any that she kept hearing these- Wait. Sarai turned her attention away from the battle, looking around steadily. Arita shifted a bit on her trainer’s hair, large ears swiveling- something had caught Sarai’s attention. It wasn’t until the trainer stopped with her head pointed towards the duo of snickering sheep that the bat realized Sarai hadn’t originally spotted the two fluffy troublemakers. She tilted her head a bit at that, confused that her trainer hadn’t caught on so quickly. After all, Arita herself had- well, ‘spotted’ probably wasn’t the right word, but noticed the sheep instantly. Horace twisted about slightly, looking up at Sarai and Arita. <What, did you find somethin’ more interestin’ than this altercation ta be lookin’ at?> The snake hissed, drawing Parzifal’s attention as well. From atop Sarai’s head, Arita extended a wing, pointing towards the two mareep hiding from the third. <We are watched. Not all is as it seems.>Parzifal found it much easier to spy the two electric sheep with three other peoples’ attention on them, and stared at the creatures briefly before looking up to Sarai. The trainer grew a bit of a smirky grin, eyes narrowing. ”Parzi, Horace, why don’cha go an’ see if we c’n.... coax a bit more participation, huh? Sand Attack and Wrap, if you get the chance.”The trainer’s hands parted from the sides of the sandshrew, who dropped past them in a quick jerk- but they closed again on the handle of the umbrella. Parzifal dangled for a moment, long enough that Horace could slither around the pangolin’s waist, then released the umbrella, dropping to the ground with surprisingly little sound. ”Bilani, more sand!” Sarai cried out, pointing dramatically. ”A bigger cloud for better obscuring!”<Yes’m!> The crocodile croaked, drawing in another breath- and then belching out a still larger cloud of sand and grit. Large enough, in fact, to obscure much of the area, and muddy line-of-sight to the two sheep in the distance. Not one to forefeit an opportunity such as this, Parzifal curled into a ball, Horace’s slender body coiled up in the midst of the armored sphere- and rolled into the bushes quietly. A few moments later, he skidded softly to a stop behind where the two mareep at least had been, already speaking. <I must beg your pardon, but I’ll have to be engaging you in battle now. You must understand, I shan’t be playing foully- but I will fight to my utmost.>Which was when Horace lunged out from the bushes, ready to wind himself around the neck or legs of the nearest sheep. [/div] ((If possible, Horace and Parzifal are striking at the other two sheep, Sand Attack versus one and Wrap on the other.))

With the Mareep which stood directly in front of Sarai and her many companions, it seemed to tilt its head confusedly as it saw some communication between them and two slinking off elsewhere. Not quite understand what was going on, it focused itself back on that brown Totodile imposter. It wasn't stupid in the slightest and just knew that there was more than meets the eye with that crocodile. It was about to find out as well. As it shook itself down a bit further to almost fully dry itself off, it began charging some of the electrical energy from its static wool and as it did, watched in horror as Bilani belched up another disgusting blast of sand. It wasn't so much the smell that bothered it but the fact this Totodile wannabe was able to store so much of this gritty sand in its belly. The Mareep pondered on what would happened if it would try the same but somehow small bits of chewed up grass didn't seem to have quite the same effect. Nevertheless, with more sand now billowing about the environment and obscuring the sheep's vision even further, it was getting incredibly unsettled. Having had enough of this it turned to what it thought was the Sandile and let loose all the electrical power it had been storing up... Only... It was saddened to see that it had been entirely off course. As opposed to the crocodile it had hit a log of wood which lay lifelessly on the floor. Letting out a small cry of disapproval it fluffed itself up even further as it jumped up and down in a sort of temper tantrum-y way. Little did it know however, Sarai had sent some of her Pokemon to take care of the two supposed friends which had started all this mess... Wild Battle
Mareep | Level 6 | Health : 100% (24/24) Status : Normal; Accuracy -2 I'm onto you Totodile! Bilani | Level 9 | Health : 100% (30/30) Status : Normal; Attack -1 Who is this Totodile you speak of? Meanwhile, on the other battlefront, it appeared that Sarai's observation of the two troublemaking sheep was spot on. The Pokemon she had sent to deal with the tearaway pests had only just arrived and much to the horror of the Mareep, were there to teach them a lesson about picking on others. Looking to one another very bemusedly, it was clear none of them were fights in the slightest and a wave of panic soon struck them as Horace came out of nowhere to deliver his own way of greeting people. By wrapping around them and strangling the living daylights out of them. Beginning to run around haphazardly, the wrapped up Mareep let out a number of shrill cries at being wrapped such a constricted manner and seemed to have no idea where it was going. It was only after it tripped up on a rogue tree root that it went flying into the air and tackled the sly Ekans on its back into the tree's trunk. Unfortunately for it however, Horace's grip was far reaching and while he had unravelled a fair length off of the sheep's body, it was still quite snugly attached. With the other two Pokemon, it was clear that the remaining Mareep hadn't quite got a great look at its attackers. As it tried to identify what the rolling yellow ball was, it had received a nasty blot of sand blown into its face. Now blinded, it had no idea what on earth it was up against. It was only after it heard something speaking to it that it rammed forward with a tackle and hit directly into its would be ambusher. After this was all said and done, maybe these two Mareep wouldn't be so vindictive of others. Double Battle

sarai smythe As the clearing started dissolving into chaos thanks to the two battles, Sarai simply grinned. It wouldn’t be honestly true to say that chaos was entirely her element, but she could handle it pretty well- at least, she liked to think so. Some people would be more hard-pressed to keep track of what was going on just then, likely getting a bit worked up and flustered by the need to direct three pokemon in two battles. Sarai had gone into this with a plan, however. A vague plan, but still a plan. First, to deal with the four off to the side- ”Horace!” the indigo-haired trainer called out. Her reply was a short, sibilant ”Hssss!””See if you can catch up the other mareep in your coils as well! Once you’ve done that, use a Poison Sting attack on the one you’ve already got! Parzifal, hit each of them with a Scratch attack!”<You think you can pull this off straight?> The snake pokemon called out to Parzifal, already extending his body to try and get ahold of the other mareep nearby. The pangolin scraped his short claws against one another as he lined up his attacks. ”You know I’ve got my ducks in a row, sir. Not a thing to worry of.” He replied. Black eyes narrowed slightly as the brick-back pokemon lowered his stance, preparing to charge- perhaps he could strike both at once, if Horace was able to bring them close together enough. He’d bet the snake was thinking just the same- it might be a bit of a challenge to avoid striking his ally, but he felt up for it. Meanwhile, Sarai turned her attention to the other battle, with the mareep that had been enmired in the puddle. That Thundershock attack missed, She thought, I’m not sure its accuracy is as low as I would like, but I don’t want to waste time, I suppose I’ll chance it.... I’ll just have to be ready with the other option, not rely on this working perfectly.... She folded her arms over her bust, keeping a firm grip on the umbrella so as to stay in the shade. Blue-gray eyes darted over to the battle in the bushes, and then settled on the crocodilian pokemon. ”Bilani!” She called out, getting an answering ”Guaaaah?” from the desert pokemon. ”I’d like you to come back now, that should give us a good head-in. Instead- Emme!”The ladybird pokemon let go of Sarai’s back, wing-covers rising as she hovered into the air. Emme drifted around Sarai’s side into the trainer’s view with a slightly worried look on her face. ”This could be some good practice for you- lead in with a Tackle attack.” The stocky young woman directed. The beetle pokemon bobbed slowly in the air, casting a look at the mareep and then a more dubious look back at her trainer. ”You can do it.” Sarai gestured to the mareep with one hand before returning that arm to atop the other. ”It’ll be good practice.”With an uncertain hum of wings, Emme moved forwards, preparing to launch herself at the sheep.
((So that’s round 1: Bilani switch, Horace Wrap (Left Mareep), Parzifal Scratch (Right Mareep) round 2: Emme Tackle, Horace Poison Sting (Right Mareep), Parzifal Scratch (Left Mareep). Just to make tracking it easier.))

With their orders received, the second squad sent out by Sarai to deal with the real troublemakers moved out without any hesitation. Having rattled the pranksters significantly by jumping them in the last round, the two mischievous sheep were frolicking around in the tall grass as a means of safety as well as trying to stamp out whoever had attacked them. Unbeknownst to them, their large fluffy coats gave them completely away and that wasn't even getting onto how obvious where they were due to their bright yellow colouring. Moving forward, Parzifal was the first to jump in again. Rolling forward in a subtle motion, the Mareep it was targetting had no idea what was about to befall it. Unleashing itself from out of the ball, the Sandshrew swiped outwards and landed a good shot on the side of the sheep. Crying out, the Mareep's ally turned its head and rammed full force into the shrew. Amusingly, Parzifal stood his ground and it was only after the recently assaulted Mareep joined in with a tackle that the Sandshrew had to relent his position into a thick gathering of foliage. Horace on the otherhand, was hissing silently while laying low in a nearby position. Remaining as stealthy as possible, the snake slithered forward with expert movement before sliding up one of the Mareep's bodies and crushing it tightly as it coiled up its lengthy body. Letting out a loud baa, the sheep crashed around and began rolling on the floor but by then, Horace had slipped off unnoticed once more, leaving the Mareep puzzled. It was only when they received a second set of orders that the two Pokemon of Sarai's jumped straight back in without a moment's pause. Realising it was well hidden, Parzifal made its way out of the thicket and moved straight to the Mareep which had just been entangled. With a clear and decisive swipe of its claws, the Mareep bowed backwards as it felt the intense sting scrape over it. Calling out, the Mareep then co-ordinated another joint attack on the bright yellow shrew. While the Mareep were easy to spot due to their colouring, the same could be said for the unfortunate Sandshrew. Crashing in from the front, Parzifal tried to look around for the other but felt his back get rammed into from behind as the two Mareep tried sandwiching him together. It was only after Horace lifted his head out of the tall grass and shot off a poison stinger that the more aggressive of the Mareep relented and dashed off to try and numb the poisonous barb it had been hit with. Double Battle

Still as flustered as ever, the innocent Mareep which had been the butt of jokes was still prancing around trying to make out where the Sandile had got to but the hefty sand clouds were obscuring far too much. It was so oblivious that even the bright light from the switch out made no impact on its awareness. With Emme now out and ready to battle, the ladybug seemed hesitant at first but when it saw just how easily mislead it was, the bug began whizzing off backwards and forwards to confuse it. With a swift couple of dodges in the air to and fro, the Ledyba hurtled itself forward and rammed in with the side of its body. The Mareep hadn't a clue where or who it had been hit by. Still thinking that Bilani was on the battlefield, the Mareep looked around and seem perplexed by how differently expected the feeling of contact had been. Thinking it had seen it, the Mareep began punching its stubby legs along the floor and if it hadn't been for Emme spotting the courageous sheep charging at it in the distance, the ladybug might have gone splat. Whisking its wings from outs of its back, the Pokemon flew adjacent to the side and watched as the Mareep carried on going and crashed into some rocks. Wild Battle

sarai smythe ”Alright! Good goin’ so far!” Sarai cheered out- not just to Emme, but also to Parzifal and Horace. Her left hand dipped into her bag, passing a pair of pokeballs to her right. She licked her lips and swallowed, thinking fast as she glanced from one fight to the other. Somehow, the thought that the other two Mareep had messed up the first one brought to mind a show she’d heard of. What was it? ‘Shaun the Mareep’ or something? One of those claymation things. No matter. Triggering both balls, she flung them backhand with a sweep of her arm that caused the striped sleeve of her shrug to ripple and flap a bit. Both of the capture devices sailed over easily into the smaller clearing where the two-on-two fight was taking place. ”Horace! Parzifal!” The snake and the pangolin both looked to see the red-and-white spheres sailing over them. ”Eyes open, lets get that finished!””Fancy a whip-trip, sir?” Parzifal offered, reaching for Horace’s tail-end with both arms. ”Only onna count of I don’t suffah much nausea from motion, youse undastandin’.” Horace hissed, bracing himself. Moments later, his head was swinging through the air at rather dizzying speeds, the ekans being slung about like a whip. He barely managed to open his mouth in time to catch the first of the balls, shifting from a broad swing to an almost-spiraling coil in the air over the brick-patterned pokemon’s head. Uncoiling like the serpent he was, the snake released the ball directly towards the mareep without the sand in its face- and then he struck out moments before the second pokeball could pass out of reach. Clamping tight, he swung out to the side as Parzifal somersaulted forwards once- and then curved up overhead and released the ball when his friend uncurled, sending the sphere spinning straight for the face of the dirt-addled sheep. Just to avoid smacking into the ground, the purple snake whirled just-so- and then the two were calm, Horace wrapped once around Parzifal’s middle, rising up behind his head like some sort of an oddball headdress, the two watching to see the results of the capture attempts. Meanwhile, at the main cloud of dust fight, Sarai was able to turn her full attention to what was going on with Emme. ”Go! Go! You kin do this, Emme! Yui’ve got this pinned down!” The puppy pokemon yipped, Brenna bouncing up and down on her four feet with excitement. Things were really getting going now- Electricity would be fairly dangerous to the flying bug, but her ability to resist nonphysical attacks was fairly high, and the cloud of dirt and sand would make it that much harder for the sheep to make any sort of contact. For her own part, the ladybug buzzed hesitantly through the air just over the ground, keeping far enough from the upset mareep to keep it from identifying her clearly. This seemed to be working..... Sarai crouched down for a moment to scoop Bilani up, helping the little crocodile to slither back into the duffel bag under her left arm. ”Alright, Emme! Keep it up with another Tackle attack, I know you can do this! We’ve got it on the ropes!””W-well, if you’re sure....” The ledyba buzzed to herself, preparing to head in for another headlong charge. ”Stay focused!” The zubat atop Sarai’s head creeled out quietly. ”Search for your enemy not with your eyes but with all your senses! Let instinct guide you to strike from the dark an d into the dark.”
((For clarity again- one pokeball each at the two far mareep, and a Tackle attack from Emme at the original/close mareep.))

It was an odd turn of events. Masterminding two battles at once was definitely something out of the ordinary that only a select few in the world of Pokemon could say they had done. However, Sarai's clever strategy to take out one of the main battle fronts with a well placed through of her capturing devices meant that things were likely to tip the balance entirely in her favour. With the two mischievous Mareep trying to get a hold of themselves for a retaliatory payback against its ambushers, they screeched to a grinding halt as they saw the blurring colours of red and white merge together as it soared at them. Letting out a signal of cries, the two turned hastily and began running away. Tumbling through all the patches of thick grass and gnarled tree roots, the two tripped up both simultaneously and had a nice face full of dirt. Unluckily for them, before the dust clouds could even settle, the two homing Pokeballs had sought out their targets. Seek and destroy or more accurately seek and capture. With a lassoing glow of a red light over the two Mareep, they were shrunk down into the devices. Locking sealed tight, the front circle glowed with a bright light blue before tumbling to the ground. Landing next to one another, they twitched at the same time, knocking them backwards as they made contact. Once... Twice... Thrice...! Your Sandshrew fought courageously and has levelled up! It went up by 2 levels and is now Level 10! Parzifal learnt the move Poison Sting!Your Ekans fought courageously and has levelled up! It went up by 3 levels and is now Level 9! Horace learnt the move Bite! With the two bullying Mareep now safely taken care of, all that remained was the last remaining Pokemon which had been the catalyst of this whole situation. Still dazed and lost due to all the sand which had been blown into its face, the unlucky victim was starting to get very stroppy with matters. Banging up and down on the floor with all of its hooves, it charged forward, having thought it figured out the location of its attacker. Moving forward at full pelt, it was unfortunate in the sense that it missed Emme by a mere fraction as it brushed past it with its woolly fur. Not wanting to waste its chance, the Ledyba buzzed forward with a flick of its wings and a somersault of its body. It may not have been the most confident of Pokemon but it was slowly getting its legs over the foe. Perhaps the words of wisdom from Arita had done some good. Wild Battle

sarai smythe Sarai sighed in mild relief as Emme buzzed back out of the dustcloud for a moment. The Ledyba was clearly not injured at all, still moving easily and bearing no scorchmarks. She nearly shook her head at herself- that wasn’t like her at all. Perhaps Emme’s mentality was rubbing off on her a little at the moment? Huffing out a breath, the stout trainer spread her feet a little as if bracing herself might somehow help the beetle pokemon in her battle. It was getting easier to peer at the Mareep through the dust and sand in the air, though she doubted the sheep itself was experiencing much improvement, given how much of said grit had been spewed straight into its face. The corners of her mouth curled up a bit in a cunning smirk, and she gestured to the ladybug pokemon hovering temerously beside the cloud. ”Emme!” She reached one hand out, the sleeve of her shrug flapping behind her arm. ”Go in for another tackle!” The sweep of said arm towards the middle of the dustcloud and the slowly resolving shadow therein that was the Mareep was unmistakable, as was the almost vicious grin that colored her words with eagerness. ”One or two more should do it, you’re doing a great job!”Heartened by the encouragement, Emme bobbed once in the air, nodding at the same time. ”Bzz-bzzyaaa!” She replied, and then darted in once more, mindful to keep her wing-covers up to plow away most of the grit before her furiously buzzing wings, protecting the fragile membranes. <Well, that was a fine to-do. I believe we conducted ourselves quite splendidly. A battle to be proud of, good sir!> Parzifal enthused, calmly tottering up to the black-clad trainer with one of the two freshly-filled pokeballs clutched between his paws. The snake beside him had the other sphere wrapped in a loop of his body, carefully dragging the thing along so as not to bump it against the ground much. <Da boss should be greatly pleased dat we has completed our task in a most satisfactory manner and increased her roster of available accomplices in de process.> The snake agreed, stopping beside the pangolin a short way from Sarai’s feet. Watching her peer into the dust, though, they didn’t bother her just yet- She’d handle these two as soon as she was done with what she was doing. It looked as though Emme would have this well in hand and hand and hand and hand and hand and hand. Not for the first time, Horace wondered to himself how, exactly, one would.... well, handle, having limbs, but only arm-limbs. It didn’t seem like the best idea for a creature like Emme, whose belly was flat and whose limbs were all close to her belly. Well. To each their own.
<Oh, oh my Arceus~! That was hilarious! By the Legendaries you looked so funny! I can’t stop laughing! Aahahahahahahaha!>MareepName: Ezra Gender: Female Level: 6Moves: Tackle, Growl Ability: Static Nature: Adamant (+Att/-SAtt) Personality: Ezra would be a bit of a black sheep if not for Kuraiga. An incorrigible trickster, she loves playing pranks on others. While she never actually intends any harm, it seems to be more out of unawareness than anything else- she doesn’t ever apologize for what she does, even if it hurts someone. Playful to a fault, just about the only thing that can really get her mad is insisting she start acting serious. For a sheep, she’s alarmingly strong, though her electrical attacks are a bit sub-par. <Ahahaha! Oh, wow. Hahaha. That was silly. Seriously though, lighten up a bit. You’re going to give everyone else headaches just looking at you frown all the time.>MareepName: Kuraiga Gender: Female Level: 6Moves: Tackle, Growl Ability: Static Nature: Bold (+Def/-Att) Personality: The conscience to Ezra’s freewheelingness, Kuraiga is a trickster herself, though more of one with a purpose. For all that she loves her pranks and jokes, she never means anything harmful, more gently teasing than anything else. Sociable and friendly, she only likes having friends more than she likes taking the arrogant down a peg (or twenty). Never one to let rules get in the way, she is also prone to getting into trouble with whoever’s in charge at the moment.
((For the moment, if you want, go ahead and stick Ezra and Kuraiga in the ‘box’, please put them in the Pontoon Island Reserves section (second post). Emme is attempting another Tackle against the remaining Mareep.))

Letting out a pitiable sob, the Mareep was definitely beginning to reach the end of its tether. The blinded accuracy and its long suffering abuse from the other two Mareep were now kicking in big time. For once, just once, this little sheep wished for a day that it could see through sunrise to sunset without any nasty incidents unfolding. As blinded as it was, it seemed almost poignant for just how repeating this was. Stomping along the floor in a rocking motion, the Mareep did its best to pinpoint the buzzing noise of Emme. It couldn't just be some figment of its imagination, something just HAD to be there. Closing its eyes to prevent the irritation from the sand it had received, the Mareep concentrated deftly to boost its hearing. At least, that was the plan. With a full body charge onward, the woolly sheep darted off to hit back at its supposed antagonist. Normally, a miss would be mere inches away and be deemed as a close shave but this was... Completely off the mark. Facing precisely away with its back to the Ledyba, the Mareep went charging off into a wiry bush. Launching into the air having mistaken the wind blowing against the leaves, the Mareep had found itself stuck in the bush's uncomfortable caress. Crying helplessly, Emme buzzed forward. Considering how stuck it was, it was almost as if it was a free hit. Or at least, that's what was most likely springing to mind to those with less than kind hearted personalities. Emme on the otherhand buzzed on the other side of the bush and with a scorching tackle of its own, plummeted forward, knocking Mareep out and escaping the bush's grasp. Sauntering back over to Sarai with a hover, it seemed almost as if the battle was coming to an end with how exasperatedly tired the sheep had become. Wild Battle
