sarai smythe ”That’ll do it. Good job, Emme, you’re working hard.” The trainer enthused, waving the ledyba back to her. Wings buzzing cheerily, the ladybird pokemon bobbed through the air back to the purplette, but rather than setting down, she hovered near the stout young woman’s head with an almost questioning hum, turning to look back at the bush-entangled mareep. With a sigh, Sarai offered the flying beetle a shrug and a helpless smile. ”I know, but it was obvious we weren’t going to get anywhere here without a battle of some sort. I know it’s not the nicest thing, but I didn’t exactly get a chance to try anything else, right?”Humming uncertainly, Emme flew around to her trainer’s back as before, clinging to the short woman with all six hands so as to make a sort of a backpack of herself. She really wasn’t sure about this at all. She -had- tried hard, but it wasn’t really like she was in that much danger with the sheep both blinded and thinking it was still dealing with the toothy terror that Bilani could be. Sure, it was a victory, but she didn’t feel like it was much of a fair fight. She’d rather not have gone out at all, at the very least for this one. ”Buck up, girl, there’s a smart lass.” Parzifal offered, looking up at the conflicted bug clinging to their trainer’s back. ”She picked the fight, not you, you just helped finish it. Besides, Sarai’s not one to go and trounce someone then leave them to the vultures, if you follow me. You’ll get your chance to explain.”Meanwhile, Sarai was reaching past Bilani and pulling out another red-and-white sphere. ”Nothing ventured, nothing gained, I’d say.” She eyed the sheep where it was stuck in the bush. It didn’t look like the mareep would be getting out anytime soon on its own.... ”Sorry ‘bout this. I’ll explain later, I guess.” Feeling a little guilty herself, the trainer underhand-lobbed the pokeball at the entangled sheep. ”This better work....”

Mareep tried to use its sense of hearing to see where the foe's were. Even though it had been blinded with a loss of accuracy it wouldn't give up! It decided to be wait for the foe to come to it and then make its move! Little did Mareep know it'd be wrong on the fact of continuing this battle as Sarai had intentions of catching it. Mareep waited for an attack that wouldn't come. It readied itself for a tackle attack. Behind Mareep was the sound of a stick cracking and Mareep took off toward that direction. What was Mareep thinking!?!!? Ledyba was a flying/bug type, it didn't walk on the ground!!
Mareep didn't get very far as a large sized tree stood in its path. Mareep charged head on and slammed its noggen on the large tree. It fell to the ground but remembered that it was still in a battle. It wanted its friends back! Mareep charged another tackle than took off toward Emme but would soon get distracted by that same noise! It took off toward the sound not knowing that it was going the right way before!!!!! It heard the noise come from around Emme and took back off toward that way. Then it heard Sarai's voice and decided just to stop running as it couldn't keep up with noises. A metalic its head and it got sucked in to some weird place. It didn't have the energy to keep going so it decided to just rest in the nice new home it had found. Caught Mareep! sarai smythe Sarai sighed in relief as the pokeball enclosing the mareep fell to the ground and then gradually stopped shaking. She really didn’t want to have to have anyone seriously hurt the sheep, for all that it would need to learn to rein in its temper. That would not be a good way to start a companionship with the poor pokemon. ”Thank you, Emme, good job.”The ledyba buzzed quietly and then flew behind the stout woman, landing gently on her back once again. This caused the purplette to chuckle- the gentle beetle had some funny habits, really. She shifted her hair out of the way for a moment as Emme got settled, then walked over to the freshly-filled pokeball. Brenna yipped and yapped, dancing around the edges of her trainer’s skirt as Sarai moved, happy at the arrival of not one, but three new friends. This was a red-letter event in the puppy’s book, and she could barely contain herself, short tail wagging so much she stumbled now and again from a misstep. <We are all glad, I am sure, Brenna.> The zubat atop Sarai’s head spoke up, <But I think this may be a bit much.... perhaps you could celebrate more quietly?><But we’ve got frien’s! Three new frien’s!> Brenna cheered, bouncing another circle around her trainer. <Surely I’m allowed fer bein’ happy on that!> The sandshrew walking more sedately to keep up with the human chuckled at his teammate’s antics. <My dear, there is not a thing wrong with your attitude. Our flighted companion is merely wishing you might... I believe the expression is ‘tone it down’ some. I dare say she’d be satisfied if you’d only go so far as to be a bit quieter in your exuberance.> He gave the bouncing canine an amused look before contemplating the pokeball held in his forepaws. <Myself, I am more concerned of these two. All that was happening seemed to imply a bit of cruelty on their parts....><Ey, you get anyone wit’ enuff time on dey’re han’s an’ dey’re ennui will have ‘em start engagin’ in perspicacious troublemakin’ fer da sake o’ temp’rary entertainment. I bet dey ain’t such sinista an’ devious types as ta commence major conflicts wit’in da associative structu’e dat we’s comprisin’ wit one-anotha’s.> Opined Horace, carefully rolling along the ball still lassoed in a coil of his purple body. Sarai remained ignorant of her team’s doubts as she crouched down to retrieve the pokeball and its occupant. Sweeping her arm out, she gave Parzifal a rub on the head before plucking away the pokeball he held, and allowed Horace to slither up her arm and rest over her shoulders while grasping the ball the snake had brought. ”I think it’s time t’ change the team around a little... Parz, you’ve done a good job, an’ you too, Bilani. I think both a’ you c’n go take a rest f’r a while, I’m gonna see if we can’t get a little sensible discipline inta these two.... a’right?”Bilani just shrugged at that (which was a bit odd to see given her four-legged stance), but Parzifal nodded and stood at ease with his arms folded behind him as the trainer recalled both ground-type pokemon to their capsules. Carefully setting the devices in her lap as she crouched, Sarai pulled the transfer rod from her bag, and used it to send off both the sandshrew and the sandile- and then the third mareep as well, figuring that Cleo would need the rest and relaxation more than the others. That done, she rose to her feet, and tossed the remaining two pokeballs, causing a couple of slightly disoriented mareep to appear before her... and stumble into one another. Ignoring the bleating argument and brief entanglement that ensued, Sarai waited with her arms folded over her bust, staring neutrally. It took not much more than a minute for the two to straighten themselves out, and then stare back at her. ”Right. I don’t know what you were doing or how you stuck Cleo in that puddle, but that was pretty cruel.” The mareep on the left had the grace to look sheepish, but the other one just stared back at her as though the idea had completely overflown her head. ”Ezra,” Sarai pointed at the uncontrite sheep, and then, ”Kuraiga,” was the other electric pokemon, ”You won’t do that kind of thing again. If you want to tell jokes or mess around that’s okay, but you can’t be playing pranks on the others in the team. Or on me. You got it?”Kuraiga nodded, but the newly-christened Ezra just sort of shrugged at her trainer. One of Sarai’s eyebrows rose a bit. ”...I will keep you in your pokeball the whole time if I have to, Ezra. There are places where it’s dangerous, and none of us can afford being pranked at the wrong moment. You understand?” After a few moments of rather intense staring that caused Kuraiga to sidle away from the uncontrite sheep, Ezra eventually nodded with a slightly sullen look. ”Good!” Sarai smiled and the lilipup next to her yapped once happily. ”Then let’s keep on- I’d like to reach Violet City before it gets dark.”
<What? It's just a houndoom. He's probably here as a guard or something, that's why he's staring and growling. Let's go already!>MareepName: Cleo Gender: FemaleLevel: 6 Moves: Tackle, Growl Ability: Static Nature: Bold (-Att/+Def) Personality: Cleo is a bit odd for a Mareep, but a bit more normal than Kuraiga and Ezra. She's a very brave and forwards sort, not really following the herd mentality most mareep seem to have- but she's genuinely well-intentioned most of the time. She possesses a bit of a temper, though, and when she gets mad she tends to lash out blindly. She is surprisingly unbothered when other pokemon that are normally considered predatory or threatening to mareep are around, and is pretty much fearless when confronted with anything short of certain annihilation. She greatly enjoys having her wool brushed.
((Cleo boxed, Bilani and Parzifal boxed, Ezra and Kuraiga withdrawn. Bilani will not learn Torment. All swappings handled already. As this remains post-page-5, I'd like to request a Ralts and/or a couple of Hoppip- preferably level 7 or 8 in either case, or I'm never going to get done leveling things to 10 around here. XP))

Cold winds were never a good thing….especially for Hoppip. There the two of them were, flittering in the wind, trying to keep themselves from flying away at a master speed. One of them separated from the other, tumbling into a tree. The gust settled and the other rushed over. “Pipp! Hopp!” it sang, nudging the other up. These two seemed happy enough with one another, and they stopped suddenly at the sight of Sarai. One of the Hoppip reacted quickly, jumping in front of the other to guard it. “Hopp!” it cried, determined to drive Sarai away. It didn’t want her to think about taking its friend away. “Pipp…” the second one was obviously younger, glancing up at Sarai with wide eyes. It didn’t know what the trainer wanted but it was scared. The wind blew again suddenly, almost knocking the younger one away if it wasn’t for the other grabbing onto its leaf with its own. These two were an obvious display of true friendship, but Sarai would have to do something as the older one seemed hell bent on defending its friend. ____________________________________________________ Warning!

sarai smythe Frowning slightly, Sarai carefully folded her umbrella while the summer midday faded into afternoon and a curious cold wind gusted in. She didn’t mind the chill at all- she was used to cooler, damper climates to begin with, though she could handle warm weather if it was needed. But some of the pokemon currently with her would not be so predisposed. Particularly Horace, being a reptile and specifically a snake pokemon, would have some trouble with the cold, likely becoming sluggish before too long. A gentle hand on the wool of either fluffy sheep allowed her to keep them close, the umbrella stowed in the accomodating grip of Emme, who kept the portable shelter’s handle upright over Sarai’s right shoulder. Every so often, Ezra would bleat in complaint and shock Sarai’s hand lightly, but the stout woman just ignored the buzzing tingly feeling each time in favor of keeping the team close about her. Even Brenna was staying close as the wind picked up, Kuraiga amused to no end by having a little lillipup for a hat, occasionally shifting her head to better settle the panting puppy. It wasn’t too long into the cooling afternoon that a pair of hoppip blew into the area, the super-light pokemon having more than their share of trouble with the wind, thanks to their nature as wind-blown plant pokemon. The trainer and her team all watched as the slightly larger hoppip showed some aggressiveness in defense of its slightly smaller compatriot- bringing a smile to the human’s face. She let go of the electric sheep as the younger hoppip started to blow away again, but she relaxed when the two cottonweed pokemon linked feathers to stay on the ground. The hand that had been reaching out so she could run and try to bring the two back to terra firma loosely clasped itself, pulling back to her upper chest, just below the dip of her collarbone. ”Oh- oh good.” The trainer expressed her relief, Horace nodding as he raised his head from one of her shoulders. ”I was afraid you might blow away. You know, it’s got to be hard out in this wind, both of you so light.” She took a careful step towards the red-and-green pokemon, keeping her hands visible and her motions smooth and gentle. ”You know, you could come with us- only Arita is liable to blow away, and she’s too smart to expose herself to that. We could help you stay grounded, perhaps we might grow to be friends? I would adore the chance to bring a pair of cute hoppip like yourselves along with us.” The purplette offered, extending one conically-sleeved arm, the hand out and palm up with her fingers spread. Behind Sarai, Brenna looked on with interest from atop Kuraiga’s head, but Ezra was sneaking up behind the black-and-white-clad trainer, apparently intending to do -something- sneaky. Horace kept an eye on her, though. Sarai could handle her end, he couldn’t let the ‘boss’ get tagged with anything unpleasant and that one sheep looked just like the type to do that sort of thing- accidentally or intentionally, he couldn’t say.

Though Sarai seemed to only intend on petting the Younger of the two Hoppip, it didn’t seem the older one wanted that. It quickly intervened, spinning its leaves so they hit Sarai’s hand, so it slapped her away from the younger one. Friendship? Please… it didn’t want the younger Hoppip to have anything to do with this girl… she seemed like trouble, with all of her words. Words went nothing when you were wild, and had to watch for everything, and everyone that came your way… Quickly, the Hoppip tried to act tough, stiffening up to try and give itself a taller appearance. Horace didn’t seem amused with this aspect. The Younger Hoppip didn’t understand much of what was going on, but it understood this much… the older Hoppip didn’t seem to like whatever this girl had in mind. So, it too started acting as the other one was. Brenna seemed not to notice that these two were trying to get Sarai to back away from them, and instead figured it was an act of friendship. She jumped over to one of them, only to be smack in the nose. Ouch! So…maybe they didn’t want to be friends? Because that really hurt… _____________________________________________________
It seems as if the Older Hoppip will not listen to your reasoning! Fight it?

sarai smythe ”Harp! Harp harp rrrrrrryap!” Brenna barked, backing off a bit from the red weed pokemon that had swatted at her nose. She frowned at the two. Couldn’t they see? All the pokemon with Sarai were well cared for and happy- well, perhaps not so much the two newest members of the group, but still! That was no way to treat an offer of friendship! ”Easy, girl.” Sarai said quietly to the puppy, gesturing for her to move back. ”It looks like we’ll have t’ fight these two t’ get them to come along, but this one’s not a battle fer you.” The trainer held out her right arm, as low as she could. ”Horace, I’ll need your help to be, er... persuasive... here for a bit.” The snake pokemon hissed his confirmation as he wound down her arm and slithered past her hand onto the ground. The purple serpent coiled there, ready for battle and waiting patiently. He didn’t bother rattling the end of his tail, it was obvious that battle was about to begin. ”Now, then, I’d better get outta the way...” The purplette started backing up- and then her knees caught on the mareep sneaking up behind her. ”WAGH!””Ma-a-a-a-a-ap!” Sarai and Ezra cried out together, tumbling to the ground in a flurry of black fabric and yellow wool. Panicked by her impending position between Sarai and the ground, Emme escaped the pinch before the stout woman could impact, leaving the umbrella to clatter down beside as well. She buzzed around in a short loop, turning to see what had happened, and beheld the stocky young woman grabbing Ezra by the back of the head to pull herself up with. <Oh, I just -know- this is going to be trouble...> The ledyba lamented, hovering back away a bit, wringing all six of her hands together in three pairs. <Why did we ever pick up such... such scamps? She really should have kept them apart from each other...><Hey,> Horace cut in on the ladybird’s worrying as she hovered past his face. <Careful dere, ya wouldn’ want ta be caught off-guard when dese feral-types individ’jals commence their indubitably violent ova’tures.> He bobbed his head down a bit to watch the defensive hoppip past the bug-type’s underbelly, yellow eyes sharp for any movement. As the red-shelled pokemon turned in the air to behold the two wary plant pokemon, she pursed her mouthparts (inasmuch as mouthparts can be pursed). While wild, the two didn’t look so much unruly and threatening as overly cautious, and she didn’t really like the idea of beating them up and snatching them away. They looked like they were just children! Not that she was all that old herself, she just... she felt kind of sorry for them. ”Hey, that’s a good idea, you could use th’ practice too, Emme.” Startled from her thoughts, the beetle pokemon glanced over her wing-cover to see that Sarai was back on her feet, Arita still enmeshed a little in the hair on her trainer’s head as though nothing had happened. The umbrella was now stuck through Ezra’s wool and a little bit into the ground, apparently some form of retribution for the fact that Sarai was smoking a little and a few of the shaggier bits of her hair looked slightly curled. ”A’right, Emme, use Comet Punch on th’ younger one- carefully. We just wanna weaken their resolve a little. Horace, that older one looks like it’ll be tougher to handle- hit it with a Poison Sting.Gray eyes blinked at the beetle pokemon, who abruptly looked back and forth between the grass-types and her trainer as though startled before drooping a little in the air. The young woman frowned, brushing off the sleeves of her shrug as she chanced a look down at Ezra and Kuraiga, the latter bleating out laughter at the former, who was staggering around in circles a little as she tried to get away from the umbrella pinning her to the dirt. No, she’d go on to training those two in a minute, they probably weren’t ready to handle these two hoppip without a little softening up first- and just a little.

For the show it was putting on, the older Hoppip had nothing to back it up. Hoppip were some of the most pathetic Pokemon, battle-wise, and it knew that. It couldn't even act threatening as this had showed by the fact that these other creatures decided to fight instead of running. It just hoped that they would grow tired of this before the Hoppip died or something. As it thought about this though, the Ledyba charged at the younger Hoppip, preparing to use her her Comet Punch on the weak Pokemon. Of course she'd managed to hit, the Hoppip wasn't experienced to do a thing about it, and even if it were a Hoppip could do little against a capable opponent. Still, the hits could have been worse, she'd only managed to land three hits on the Hoppip so that was something, it didn't make the pain Hoppip felt any easier to deal with though, and the Pokemon had fallen to the ground in pain due to the attack. But before either Hoppip could do anything, the Ekans got ready to use his own attack, the Poison Sting. He took a deep breath, before sending out a volley of toxic needles from his mouth, all headed for the older Hoppip, or in it's general direction anyway, the idea was for a good number to find their target, not all of them. This of course wasn't a problem, as a good number of the needles went right into the Hoppip's flesh, not enough to poison it, but it felt a lot of pain from the venom that had gotten in from hits. It wasn't knocked out of the air like the younger one, and it clearly was better off, but it had nothing to do against it's opponent. It didn't have any damaging attacks to use, but lowering the enemy's defense was always a good thing, so the Hoppip charged the Ekans to use a Tail Whip. The "attack" "hit" it's target, and lowered the defense of the Ekans, but there was nothing to take advantage of the enemy's lowered defenses. Not knowing any better, the younger Hoppip decided to follow suit, going after the Ledyba that had attacked it rather than the Ekans though. It had the same result, though not knowing any better this Hoppip was very proud of the attack even if it hadn't done anything worthwhile. Now that this round was coming to an end, both of the owned Pokemon moved back closer to their Trainer to await their next set of orders. Sarai nodded to herself as Horace and Emme took on the pair of hoppip, trading blows for..... tail waving? The gray-eyed trainer stared for a few moments taking that one in- it was very easy to forget that hoppip even had tails a lot of the time. In fact.... frowning, the purplette lowered her head, her bangs casting her face into shadow as she thought- and then she remembered- hoppip weren’t much for fighting without training. In the wild, their usual survival tactic consisted almost entirely of fleeing from any and everything. She blinked a few times and returned her head to a level with a slight smile, focusing her gaze on the two grass-types facing her. ”Strong, aren’t they?” She asked the cottonweed pokemon, smiling at them. ”’S what some good trainin’ an’ direction can do for a pokemon. An’ if you come with me, I c’n make sure you grow t’ be stronger too. Here, I’ll show ya more. Emme, Horace, c’mon back. It’s Arita and Brenna’s turns now.” Sarai gestured to the snake and the beetle, extending one arm for Horace to come to, the other hand resting lightly on her bag. As Arita untangled her limbs from her trainer’s hair, Brenna bounced forwards excitably, zig-zagging towards the red-bodied pokemon facing her friends. <Ooooh, this is so excitin’!> The puppy yapped, lowering her head and wagging her tail in the air before bouncing forwards a little further. <Yuir gonna be our new frien’s an’ we’ll have so much fun an’ battlin’! Ai hope Ai kin fight alongside o’ ye once ye join us!<The trainer chuckled to herself at the cheerful puppy’s antics as she felt Emme’s hands grip to her back again, Horace winding up her arm in a spiral, headed to drape over her shoulders. ”Easy, girl, easy. Gotta show yer strength b’fore you c’n make friends this time.” She glanced up as she felt a slight push on her head, eyes tracing the quietly-flapping form of Arita as the Zubat headed forth into battle. ”There we go. Okay, Arita, try to Astonish the one on the right! Brenna, see if you can’t bring the bigger one down to earth with a Bite attack!”As the bat zoomed forth and the puppy began leaping at her designated target, Sarai glanced over her shoulder. Ezra was still pinned in place by the sports umbrella jammed through her wool, though now she was looking a bit dizzy. This was probably mostly caused by Kuraiga- no longer bearing Brenna as a sort of a hat, the tougher of the two sheep was inadvertently kicking her pranking partner on the head as she pranced her front hooves, using the foothold to hold the umbrella’s handle with her mouth. Though her grip was good, the position was awkward and really didn’t give her any leverage to pull the bumbershoot from its place, resulting in a lot of bleating and straining to very little effect. Giggling slightly, the trainer turned her attention back to the battle at hand.

The Hoppip duo didn’t seem quite ready to give up yet. Brenna and Arita were pretty quick to take the battle into their own judgment as they stepped in. Though the Hoppip now had a free shot. The younger one gathered sunlight, which made it glow as its good health was restored. The other Hoppip hurried in with another Tail whip, which it didn’t seem to noticed wasn’t going to help. Brenna was the quickest and made a leap on her paws, digging her teeth into the Hoppip’s pink skin. The Hoppip squeaked in pain and nearly fell down, but managed to keep itself in the air. Arita was very quick to act after Brenna had carried out her orders. She swooped over to the younger Hoppip and scared it best she could. The young Hoppip nearly had a heart attack, so it decided it was best not to attack this turn. The other one however, moved in with a quick move of its own. It began flopping on the ground…but…it didn’t seem to be doing anything at all… _________________________________________________ VS.Wild Hoppip |Level 9| Health: 53% (15/28 HP)StatusNormal Attack: A successful (?) "Awright!" Sarai cheered as she looked out onto the 'field of battle' portrayed by the wild hoppip and two of her current team members. "Now that's showin' some stuff! What stuff, exactly, I'm not too sure, but it's some kinda stuff. And it's some kinda good stuff."Turning to the two mareep beside her, Kuraiga now outright standing atop Ezra's back and wrenching at the turfed umbrella with her mouth, Sarai reached out and gripped the handle of the portable rain-shelter, grinning somewhat madly at the sheep anchored to the dirt. "I hope that means we're going for papaya juice." The electric sheep bleated, trying to derive some kind of positive value from the show of pearly-whites the trainer was making. Unfortunately (or not so unfortunately?) this hope wasn't to be borne out, Sarai turning her head to look over her shoulder. "Brenna! Arita! Time to come back an' give the little nooblets their turn out!" The purplette called, prompting a slightly sulky yap from the puppy and a more reservedly-disappointed expression from the zubat. How, exactly, Arita managed such an expression with no visible eyes at all was up for debate. Any debate on the issue, though, would have to take place later- Emme and Horace watched with mild astonishment as the stocky girl both clung to grabbed her umbrella's handle with both hands and wrenched it free of the ground with yank, sending two fluffy yellow masses tumbling into battle and leaving a notable gouge in the mud. "It seems our erstwhile employer ain't so simple a feminine indavid'jal as she somewhat makes herself out to be." The serpent hissed in some surprise. For her part, the ledian could only nod slightly, antennae waving quickly through the air. The pair of mareep bleated confusedly as they were sent out to battle, rolling end over end and winding up in the space so recently vacated by the young lillipup. Ezra, formerly on the bottom of the sheep stack, should by all rights have been startled to find herself standing atop the extended hooves of her upended partner in crime. 'Should' being the operative word here- while Kuraiga was clearly disoriented by the roll across the grass, the more-madcap mareep made much of misplacement, rising up on her rear hooves and waving her forelegs in the air. "Tadaa! Now for our next trick!"This declared, Ezra leaped off of her prone clone, and danced a four-beat step to the left as Kuraiga slowly flopped onto her side with a half-groaned "Mama I'm tired of the merry-go-round, I don't want to try to catch a ring."Unperturbed by the entire scene, Sarai raised her umbrella on high and then whipped it down like some kind of plexiglass-cored sword, pointing directly between the two wild pokemon. "We'll give a shock to your system! Both your systems! Your bio systems will be shocked! Shocked like a hurricane! Ow!"Grimacing, the trainer lowered her accusatory bumbershoot and reached up to rub at the scratch Arita had dealt to her forehead. "Alright, alright, I get it. Eesh, everyone's a critic. Ezra, Thundershock. Kuraiga, Thundershock the other one."

As soon as Sarai switched Pokemon again, the older Hoppip was defensive in response. However, navigating against the cold wind was a bit difficult. The Hoppip originally was going for a Tail Whip, but having the wind blowing a bit rougher again, the grass type attempted the legendary splash attack. The Hoppip bounced around in the air, only to have the legendary attack failed on it. The other Hoppip also followed, trying to hop about and around to summon the legendary power. No, that legendary power was too difficult to unleash from splashing alone, and the younger Hoppip also failed. Ezra and Kuraiga bleated and grinned at each other. Then, the duo Mareep turned to the flying Pokemon and unleashed their mild jolt of electricity. The weak electricity pulsed through the two Hoppips. Surprisingly, Ezra might had been a little energetic or playful, as the electric sheep sent a more powerful thundershock than Kuraiga. The two Hoppips squeaked in pain, and also appeared to be falling to the ground. Just as they were close, the Mareeps ran out of energy, and the floating Pokemon were spared. The Hoppips then flew around, splashing around trying for the legendary attack again. With the wind blowing again, the two Pokemon shivered from the coolness, as well as residual excess of electricity in or on their bodies.

"Alright! Great work, Ezra, Kuraiga!" Sarai declared in approval to the pair of electric sheep. The lucky critical hit put things in a good position all at once, and she certainly wasn't about to waste any time. "Keep it steady, girls, and don't let them flee now- time to bring this one to a close!" Pulling a pair of standard poke balls from her bag, the trainer held her closed umbrella off to the side with her left hand, using the right to pitch the spheres one after the other at the two desperately flopping hoppip. At her feet, the little brown puppy bounced back and forth eagerly. "Aye, aye! Wui'll take these two wi' us an' then they c'n battle wi' us an' travel wi' us an' we can have -all- kinds a' adventures together an' everythin'!" Brenna cheered, stopping only when the Ledyba attached to her trainer's back buzzed her wings briefly in consternation. "I'm not so sure they'll be happy about this, though... look at the poor things, they're cold and hurt now! I'm not sure I'm really comfortable with this....""It is the way of things." Came the reply from the zubat perched atop Sarai's head, seemingly watching in silence despite her lack of eyes. "Perhaps they are not glad now, but they will be when they have learned what we have to teach. And their strengths are different than our own, so we will benefit as well." [/i] The bug pokemon had no reply to this other than to continue looking uncertain. Capture time![/div][/center]

OOC: Not sure if you can do two captures at once, but I'll go ahead and do it. If it turns out no, I'll fix it. The duo flopped frantically, trying to land the Splash desperately. Every nerve ending burned from the recent electric attack they had both suffered, and they were determined to get revenge. The wind was blowing heavily, causing the pair to tremble as they struggled to remain on the battlefield. After realizing that the attack wasn't going to land, the pink Pokemon struggled back into the air, their tiny forms heaving as they fought for breath. 'You okay?' the older asked the younger, who nodded. 'I...I think so.' It was with wary eyes they watched Sarai Smythe reach into her bag, pulling out a pair of red and white balls. 'Oh no!' the older gasped. The younger ignored it, eyes watching the girl as she held her umbrella out of the way. When the indigo-haired trainer lobbed a Poke Ball at the weaker of the pair, the stronger lunged and blocked it. The Poke Ball tapped it, and opened, enveloping it in a red light that absorbed it, pulling it into the 'Ball. The younger cried out in shock and horror as the Poke Ball began to rock from side to side. It rocked once... It rocked twice... It rocked three times... Before it could do anything in reaction, like try and grab it, the second Poke Ball hit it, enveloping it in the same red energy. The Poke Ball hit the ground...
