This route was proving to be a strange today. Having a flying type who did not know what color the sky was. At least the weather was good with the sun high in the sky.As Ruby continued walking a small creature was stalking him. More tiny feet could be heard it was not just one stalking ruby but many.All of a sudden a bunch of squeaking could be heard. 

Out from the bushes came several sentret began rushing out. They began to circle ruby forming a wall of  sentret. A larger one came from the pack to block ruby's way. It was clear that Ruby had walked into a sentret gangs territory. The leader was clearly looking for a fight.

This is our turf stranger. I don't know what you think you are doing here but I will personally stop you.

RUBY Ruby had no idea what Rara, Mumu and the Pidgey were arguing about but it did appear to be quite intense to him. So I was no wonder he didn't interfere with it since he couldn't understand what they were arguing or talking about. Ruby just wished he could find a regional form of a Pokemon that was opposite of a trainer he had heard about who was collecting them, but he didn't know what regional forms that the trainer had already collected. He was so deep in thought, he failed to hear the many tiny footsteps approaching him until the many normal types formed a wall around him, somewhat stopping his progression. Ruby then noticed a larger Sentret walked out and blocked his way further. He looked around to see if there was anyone watching the commotion that he could take advantage of to face them, he failed to notice anyone so he shrugged his shoulders and turned back to the larger normal type and pulled out a poke ball. "With the effects of time, the majestically that this body encompasses increases. Synchronizing with the others, this is the Pokemon Ralts - Rara." Ruby called out. Rara appeared on the path between Ruby and the larger Sentret. "What is wrong with you lot ganging up to face someone. You are just as annoying as that Pidgey." She looked on annoyed. "Rara come back." Ruby put away the poke ball. He pulled out a different poke ball. Rara levitated up to Ruby's shoulder sensing that he was nervous of the other Sentret joining in with the battle. "Regardless of the effects of time, the toughness that this body encompasses never changes. Boiling with raging Torrent, this is the Pokemon Mudkip - Mumu." Ruby called out. Mumu appeared on the battle field, he flung some dripping mucus at the group of Sentret hoping to create some space for the battle he was about to have. "Mumu, use Water Gun." Ruby said. Mumu released a spiral of water from his mouth at the Sentret.

The sentret huffed at the ralts.

<If we didn't travel in packs to protect ourselves from you lot with your humans, then we'd get picked off one by one!> The furry creature lunged, looking to show that ralts why it shouldn't mess with them! If it was tough enough, maybe it would run away in terror and its human would go away. However, the ralts was summoned back and the mudkip leapt forth to take its place, those claws slamming into the mudfish instead. The sentret bounced back, pushing up onto its tail in indignation. <And look at you. Accusing us of traveling in packs like you don't have your own! Bah! You won't take us down so easily. Now begone!> 

Once more it lunged, though as those claws scraped Mumu's side, a blast of water sent the little creature flying back into the ring of sentret. The others, smaller and weaker, startled and scampered away, hiding behind bushes.

RUBY "But by surrounding Ruby, you are forcing him to face you in battle. What would result in you being picked off one by one." Rara commented as the Sentret lunged at her but luckily Ruby had told her to retreat what she was happy to do since she wasn't confident that she would win the battle. Mumu flinched slightly as he got slashed by claws being slammed down on him. He glared at the wild Pokemon, as it seemed that he was always being attacked as soon as he is sent out. "The difference is that we are sent out one at a time and not surrounding you lot. If Ruby did that then you lot would also be facing Kiki, Nana and Lulu but I don't see any of them out and I am not on the other side of your gang." Mumu couldn't help but to look on glad that the weaker looking Sentrets became startled and scampered away to hide behind the bushes. At least now he had space to breath. "Mumu, use Water Gun." Ruby said. Mumu released a spiral of water from his mouth at the Sentret.

The sentret was a simple creature. The logic of not swarming the human and forcing them to defend itself was a bit beyond its capacity to problem solve. Its ears twitched and it rubbed its head <Yooooouuu are not making any sense. You are a pack because there's more of you that the human can send out at any time and I've seen it! I have seen my brothers and sisters captured and stolen from home! We will not abide by it. So we will stand our ground and fight.> The sentret lunged again, fighting through the water being blasted in its face to flail its little arms at the mudkip. GRRRR. Look how fierce it is! 

Those claws slapped against the mudfish's cheek. HA! There. Another strike!

Though it was evident the sentret was very wore down.

RUBY Rara looked on confused as her horn started to glow as she sensed the confusion from the Sentret. She didn't know why it was confused as she was stating facts since it and the other sentret had surrounded her trainer, forcing him to face them in battle. "You say we are a pack even though we are not the one who surrounded you lot. Ruby was simply walking along and yet you lot decided to confront him like some sort of gang." Rara was starting to get annoyed and wished that she was stronger so that then she would be able to wash the smugness from the Sentret's face. Mumu looked on annoyed as the Sentret lunged through the spiral of water while it flailed its little arms at him. He tried to increase the pressure of the water being released. Before he could increase the pressure enough to make any difference, the water type got slapped across his cheek. Mumu was still going strong compared to how the Sentret looked like it was doing. "Mumu, lets end the battle. Use Water Gun." Ruby said. Mumu released a spiral of water from his mouth at the Sentret. Hoping to put an end to this pointless battle.

['Why we not surround enemy gang when it invade our territory!? Why you get to waltz into territory without paying respect! Show resp-'] The Sentret called out to these Pokemon and human that had invaded their turf! How dare they, how DARE they! Sentret attempted to rush in as it attempted a last desperate stand, rushing in and dodging the first burst of a water gun through sheer adrenaline and force of will, grazing its shoulder. But Mumu soon enough fired off another quick shot, the injured body, built up from a long battle with the human and the Pokemon wielded by it, had caught up with it, catching it in the face and sending it backflipping until it landed on the ground, its body spasming in pain as it struggled to look up.

['Humans... no... respect us...! Invade time and again...! Must... prote...'] The Sentret's eyesight became progressively more blurry, anger filling its sight. It could win this, it swears it! It could fight on! Hold on just a little longer! And yet, those desires, that will to get the humans back for invading its territory, for capturing its and other kinds, would finally come to an end as darkness engulfed its vision. Its head dropping onto the ground as it lost its consciousness altogether.

RUBY "You are not listening. By surrounding someone you are forcing them to face you in a battle. If you don't want to face someone in a battle, then just avoid them. I doubt Ruby would be that interested in you enough to battle and capture." Rara called out. She didn't see anything that her trainer could use the sentret for, since the only category of contest he was missing was beauty and she didn't see the normal type doing that particular category of a contest. Rara looked on annoyed when the Sentret dodged the Water Gun, she was about to scald the strong water type but he fired of another Water Gun that looked like I had finally defeated the rude wild Pokemon. She shuffled over to the water type and looked down at the normal type Pokemon. "We were not invading your territory. We were just passing through to make our way to the next city or town. You forced our hand." Rara mumbled as she was particularly proud of the victory over the Sentret since it was obvious who the Victor would be as soon as Mumu was sent out, she could also see where the wild Pokemon was coming from with its argument. But Ruby wasn't like that as there were only a small amount that he planned to capture and the defeated pokemon wasn't one of them. Ruby pulled out two poke balls and returned his Pokemon before he continued on his journey.

Once the sentret gang was handled, Ruby was free to continue traveling down the path. Though it wasn't too much further down that he ran into what might be a curiously familiar pokemon. A native to the Hoenn region: Spinda.

The little bear commonly found in the ash-laden fields around a volcano was here before him, wobbling and twirling away without a care in the world. Perhaps it was enjoying the warm summer day or had just eaten an especially satisfying meal. But this little fellow didn't appear to be aggressive at all! However, upon getting closer, the bear would growl at Ruby.

<Give a spinda some space, will you?! I am busy!> it huffed, waving its paws threateningly, as if to intimidate the human into walking around, before going back to its twirling. Right in the middle of the main path. Where small children journeys. Children who might not have pokemon yet or might be foolish enough to approach the bear thinking it was cute and friendly.

RUBY Whatever was said between Rara and the leader of the Sentret sounded quite intense to Ruby but now it was in the past so there was no point in worrying about it now. Soon enough, he noticed a familiar sight on the path. Ruby looked on very confused as he had never heard or seen a Hoen native Pokemon in Johto. Had it been brought by a trainer from his home region and then lost or released back into the wild, was it a trainer's Pokemon being used to ambush him. Or were there Pokemon native to the other regions had migrated to Johto for some reason? What Eve the reason was for the discovery he would capture it since it was a normal type and reminded him of his dad. Ruby couldn't help but to smile slightly when he noticed the Spinda waved its paws at him threateningly at him, truth be told that did remind him of when his dad had threatened him after he had left the weather institute in Hoen. He sucked in a breath through his teeth as he thought about who the best option would be against the normal type Pokemon. Ruby pulled out a poke ball. "Regardless of the effects of time, the cuteness that this body encompasses never changes. Oozing Cute Charm from her body, this is the Pokemon Skitty-Kiki." Kiki appeared on the path. She raised around in a circle chasing her tail. "Kiki, use Fake Out." Ruby called out. Kiki rushes at the Spinda and gets right in its face, hoping to cause it to flinch. She then claps her paws together, generating a large shock wave of air from them hoping to push the wild Pokemon back.

<Hey, hey! Why are you gettin' so close and personal, punk?" The spinda growled, trying to sound threatening too. It wibbled and wobbled and teetered like spinda do, waving its paws and rocking its whole body in a threat display. Though its clumsy dance remained utterly, drunkenly adorable. Curse its fluffy, round face! But what was this? A far cuter pokemon had entered the ring and was oozing charm and not respecting its personal space in the least. <You some kind of mutant skitty? I've never seen one look as weird as you!> 

The spinda had only seen skitty at a distance when stealing from trashcans in cherrygrove. It didn't like going too far into the small town and risk any humans getting grabby. But it sure had never seen one as weird at this one!

Instead of replying with words, the skitty slapped both paws together and the shockwave sent Spinda staggering and nearly stumbling onto its behind. Woah! RUDE!

RUBY Ruby looked on slightly confused as he had no idea what the Spinda was saying, all he could see was that it was angry about something but what was it angry about? Kiki continued to run around in a circle after her tail as she listened to what the Spinda had to say. "I am not a mutant Skitty. What do you think I am, some kind of Chien-Pao the enemy of Zeraorra from the popular show P-Men? I look like the way I do because I am loved by so many." She was confident in her looks and was proud of it as she was unique compared to normal Skittys. She did have to wonder how she would compare to other of her species. Was Kiki just as tough as normal looking Skittys or was she weak compared to them? She also wondered why she was all pink and what resulted in her turning into a different color. Kiki smirked slightly when the Spinda staggered from the shockwave that she had released at it. She wasn't a strong Pokemon so she would have to play it safe by causing the wild Pokemon to flinch as much as possible. "Kiki, use Tackle." Ruby said confident that there was no onlookers watching so he could go all out in the battle. Kiki spun around in a circle as she approached the Spinda. She then tackled the wild Pokemon.

A designer pet that I bet was bred and groomed and sold for money. Do you even know what it's like to be a wild pokemon, fighting for your dinner? I bet you don't. You've always had everything handed to you!> The spinda ranted, now upsetting itself as it reaaaaalllly looked the skitty over. Getting harassed by a pet was just embarrassing. And this spinda wasn't going to lose to one! Clearly it was the superior normal type here!

Then the skitty came charging at it with that cute act and the spinda knew it had no choice! It wobbled forward and met the house cat head on!

The pair collided and while Kiki bounced back, looking pretty and hardly ruffled, the spinda was already running ragged and struggling to stand.

RUBY "But if they'll emerge less then I would look like every other Skitty. I don't want that. That is rich coming from you about me not looking right, you don't look like the other Spindas. What are you some kind of MUTATE Spinda." Kiki shouted the 'mutate' part and said the rest normally but angry. Rara came out of her poke ball and shuffled over to Kiki. "It doesn't know your past and what happened with your previous trainer and how you came to belong to Ruby. Just remember that you are loved by us." She gently stroked the normal types back before she shuffled back to their trainer as she wanted to watch the battle. Kiki smiled at the kind words from Rara. She glared at the wild Pokemon ready to show it who the superior normal type was. Kiki gritted her teeth when the Spinda wobbled forward to face her head on. She got knocked backwards onto her back but she flipped in mid air and landed on her feet with elegance of a show-off Pokemon. Ruby looked on interested as the battle was getting intense from the interaction between the two normal types and Rara coming out to say something to one of them or both of them. But from the collision between the two Pokemon, he could see who was going to win the battle. Ruby pulled out a poke ball and threw it at the Spinda wanting to capture it.

Seemingly non aggressive at first, this spinda surely was defensive and had a foul mouth to top it up, seemingly just because it felt it got its personal space invaded. Perhaps it was used to getting pushed around or even kids running up to it to touch it, or perhaps even poke to it for fun?
The bear paused its wobbling around for a moment to stare at Kiki, half of what she said made no sense? "You're the one who's rich and pampered!" it retorted a bit confused and then shook its head to let that part drop, no need to discuss nonsense.
"I'm a normal spinda, we all have different spots," It said proudly as it thumped its chest with a paw, "if it was just your color that was off, it would be normal, like some are darker or lighter skinned, or have marks around the body," the bear explained as it twirled around itself a couple of time, ending it by pointing at Kiki. "You on the other hand has a weird looking tail, and some berry stuff around your neck and looks like you come out of the nest of some rich human, never having sat a paw in the wild before. What have the humans done to you?" It scoffed with a smirk.

"What? Are we done battling?" The spinda asked dumbfounded when Rara suddenly appeared and began to pet the cat, then it laughed and pointed, "see? I was right, you are a pet because you know nothing else than to let everyone else pet you!" It wobbled a few steps back and forth and snarled silently, "but we're two in a battle, and it's not over before I agree to it being, even if you are acting as weird as you look!" It snapped as it stumbled forward in an uneven gait, only to run straight into the hurled pokeball, which it hadn't seen at all.

The pokeball wriggled furiously on the ground, back and forth, back and forth and the one inside fought bravely, albeit fruitlessly against the capture. It was too tired though and the pokeball soon dinged to confirm the capture.

Kiki grows +2 levels to [Lv 7]!
She can learn Sing if she forgets another move!
