After Alex has claimed his Bulbasaur and named it Saurobix, he sprinted out of Dr. Oak's office in excitement (while still avoiding crashing into important laboratory equipments) as he held the pokeball tightly with both hands. He landed somewhere near a public park in the city and released his first pokemon out of the small pokeball. He declared to his new friend that he would be named "Saurobix", and that he likes grass type pokemon very much. He petted his head gently, but Saurobix shook his head off the hand. Alex released his hands and Saurobix boldly tackled him for a hug. So the two exchanged a brief moment of hug.
After the two let go of the hug, Alex fed Saurobix some food to eat. Alex watched Saurobix chewing happily, and he smiled gleefully in satisfaction. After eating, he wanted to show bulbasaur around the park, but he caught his new friend admiring and began chasing some mature, wild butterfrees flying at full speed to route 29. Alex hastily and worriedly packed his things to catch up with his pokemon. After running a while, he found his bulb pokemon, but the butterfrees were no longer there. Instead, the bulbasaur growled meanly...

(OOC: Nice entrance there, but I'd suggest reading over your post before you send it, there were quite a few mistakes as I read. also, most people write in past tense here, much like this post. It's not a rule as far as I know, but it just makes more sense if both the mod and member are writing in the same tense. But that's not a really big issue, I just thought I'd point it out.)"Come on, Tackle it Twinkle!" Twinkle swore that this was the biggest idiot he had ever had to work with. How he had even managed to get caught was a wonder to the young rat, being named Twinkle? Well that was just a damn bonus wasn't it? He had at least gotten over the fact that this boy seemed to not realize that Twinkle had indeed been a boy, at least. "You can do it girl!" Well....somewhat. Just the aspect of having to wake up and hear this kid's voice every morning kind of annoyed him in general. By the time he had turned to inspect the Butterfree Joey wanted him to Tackle, it was gone. He flicked an ear as a sign of his indifference, but Joey seemed upset. "Awwwh, I really wanted that one too!" Twinkle rolled his crimson eyes, relaxing against a bush. There was a blizzard coming, and yet he still wanted to battle anything that moved. A growl from behind them made both Pokemon and Trainer turn, faced with Saurobix and the bewildered trainer behind him. Twinkle's eyes flickered to Joey. <<Don't you even think about->>"Hey, Hey Mister! That Bulbasaur is yours isn't he? If he is, let's have a battle! You guys, and me and my girl Twinkle!" The Rattata resisted chattering his teeth in annoyance. Oh, so he could tell the gender of a Bulbasaur, but not him? Idiot. "So, what do you say?" Joey asked as Twinkle came to stand out in front of him, tail still waving with irritation. ______________________________________________________ Warning! Youngster Joey has challenged you to a battle!

"What is this, I don't even..." Alex muttered to himself listening to the way Joey speaks in his prepubescent, high-pitched voice.
Today was a good day, getting his first pokemon, and then the first trainer he met was a kid who talks like he ate too much cereal for breakfast. That was not the point.
Getting irritated, Alex attempts to calm his mind to tackle this unusual situation, this unusual kid, whom was younger than he aws. Of course he wanted to exemplify manner and good temper, but his outburst of energy through his voice was annoying.
To clear his mind, he began to observed his surrounding. First, he noticed that the clouds were drifting quite readily. The clouds were thick, white, opaque and dense, as well as visible length of height; this was a typical storm cloud. Knowing that some storm is coming, Alex hastily put down his backpack as a slow, chilly breeze of wind rushed by, swaying blades of grass in randomized directions.
He unzipped it, and pulled out a dark blue, hooded jacket. He put it on quickly, zip up the jacket, and covered his head with the hood. Now he was ready to battle. Not really, his legs would be cold, but changing in front of this brat was out of the question.
After an awkward silence with him putting on his coat and the boy watching him, the new trainer gathered himself and spoke, "Uh, you wanted to my bulbasaur to battle, kid?"This will be my first pokemon battle, so take it easy for the older guy, alright?"
"Now, " Alex spoke in a serious tone. "My bulbasaur is named Saurobix, don't you dare call him by other names. Now, Saurobix, let's hear you GROWL some more to drown out his voice and his rattata."
"Also, call me Alex, nice to meet you," he spoke. "Or you can call me Mr. Burke."

"Hey!" Joey scowled, directing a scowl that ended up looking more like a pout toward Alex. He appeared to be preparing to make some retort about the older trainer's snide comment in regards to his voice. But instead, he asked defiantly, "Are you suggesting that Twinkle sounds annoying?!"
Twinkle felt an overwhelming urge to bash his head into the ground. Only this kid would be so daft as to completely miss an insult thrown directly in his face. He glared at the opposing trainer and his Bulbasaur - or as he had called it, Saurobix. Now was one of the many times that Twinkle wished he had been caught by a trainer like Alex. He would do anything for a half-decent trainer who actually knew what gender he was...
The Rattata's train of though came to a screeching halt as a strangely colored, human-sized rabbit came hopping down the path. The purple rat, and his trainer, instantly recognized it as a Lopunny. But what was this? The coloring was off... and not in a "shiny Pokemon" sort of off. No, this was the legendary Easter Lopunny, come to deliver Easter joy to all.
The rabbit-like Pokemon came to a halt before Alex, a smile on its face. Placing its basket gently on the ground, it rummaged around for a bit before finding what it was looking for. Carefully pulling out an orange egg, it handed the brightly colored egg to Alex.
Congratulations!
The Easter Lopunny has deemed you worthy of an Egg! Keep the egg safe in your party and with enough nurturing, it should hatch into a special surprise!
Chirping happily, it adjusted its bow tie and picked its basket up, making as if to leave. "HEY!" Joey called out, causing the Lopunny to stop in its tracks. "What about me? Do I get an egg too?"
The Lopunny seemed to ponder this for a moment, before reaching into its basket and tossing something his way. The rabbit then turned and leapt off, leaving to finish its deliveries.
"Aww... It's just a chocolate egg..." Joey pouted, scowling down at the tiny candy. "We'll just have to prove ourselves for next year, Twinkle! And we'll do that by taking down this trainer! Now, Twinkle!"
Twinkle looked back at his trainer, surprised by the sudden determination in his voice. Was he actually taking this all seriously now? Was he going to order an attack that would change the course of the battle?
"Use Tail Whip!"
No. It was just the usual, then. Sighing resignedly, Twinkle faced his opponent with embarrassment and wagged his tail feebly, lowering Saurobix's defense a slight bit. Saurobix, on the other hand, was more than happy to carry out his trainer's orders. Leaping up, he opened his mouth and released the most fearsome growl he could muster. Which was pretty fearsome, all things considering. But all that happened was Twinkle felt his attack drop ever so slightly. Perhaps the battle would heat up later on...

Surprised, Alex stared blankly at the Lopunny, and subconsciously hold out his hands to receive the bright orange egg. The classy Lopunny smiled amicably at the trainer, and fixed its bowtie before tending Joey's gift.
Alex hugged the egg carefully. Its shell has a hard structure, but he wouldn't so carelessly as to drop it. Just as the Lopunny was about to hopped off, Alex hesitantly looked up and gave his gratitude to the generous pokemon.
"Thank you," the new trainer shouted against the drowning wind.
Another, slightly cooler chill of wind brushed by, Alex thought it would be terrible if the egg got blown away. He looked at the backpack he put down earlier to put on his jacket, and thought about putting the egg in there. Before he did that though, he lightly knocked the egg with his hand, testing the durability of the shell. Despite the blowing wind, the sound traveling through the egg gave the worried trainer the impression that the shell should be hard enough. He meticulously placed the egg in the backpack, promising to himself that once the weather calmed down, he would personally hold it on his hand. After all, the thought of accidentally crushing it in his backpack was terrible, and so was the thought of the egg being blown away by the wind. After he placed the egg in his backpack, he cautiously zipped it up to the top. Voila, the egg fit snugly inside. Lastly, he strapped on his belonging himself so that if there were a stronger wind, it won't blow his belonging away as well.
Now, back to his pokemon trainer battle, which was also his first on-hand pokemon battle. He was quite surprised that the other party did not launch an attack, but rather startling his pokemon to reduce Saurobix's defense. He mind rushed a few thoughts: Was his opponent planning something? Or was he just mindlessly calling a Tail Whip? This his first battle, he was a little bit nervous, or he was just cold, or he was afraid to underestimate his opponent, who obviously battled more than him.
However... he was getting impatient with this wind. Screw this next one, he thought.
"Saurobix," Alex began defiantly, "TACKLE that Twinkle Twinkle little rat, how I wonder 'rat' you are!"
Just screw this one turn, he thought to himself. After all, this rat could not do that much damage in one attack, if it were to injure Saurobix. He was definitely taking some risk here.
(OOC: I would be in this thread for a while. Instead of updating my profile every few posts, if you can, just update my egg progress at the end of each mod update, thanks.)

"Hey, I love that song... I mean, what?" Joey snapped back to attention, yelping as he realized what the older trainer was plotting. Twinkle sighed heavily as he awaited his trainer's orders. But the order never came. Shooting a glance back at his trainer, he realized that Joey was still ranting angrily about that last comment, and wasn't focusing on the battle. The rat's gaze darted back to Saurobix, who was charging in for an attack. Panic set in as Twinkle realized he was on his own, and he had no idea of what to do. The Bulbasaur slammed into Twinkle, knocking the rat off his feet and launching him through the air.
"Hey! No fair, I wasn't ready!" Joey whined, before quickly ordering, "Twinkle! Strike back with a Tackle as well!"
Twinkle was all too happy to oblige. Landing lightly on his feet, he changed his momentum and charged at Saurobix. He slammed into the Bulbasaur's side, causing Saurobix to stagger slightly. The Bulbasaur managed to keep its footing, however, and shot a nasty glare at the Rattata. The two had both done an even amount of damage, and the battle was still anyone's game.

Alex imagined himself cheered as Saurobix tackled the purple rodent. He smiled to himself as the rat got pushed to the air by the mere tackle. He also chuckled lightly, almost negated by the wind when the youngster was paused by that comment he crafted.
Then, he almost missed the action of his foe as he zoned back in from his satisfaction to the battle. He watched as rattata slammed bulbasaur at the side, and bulbasaur still standing strong.
He thought to himself, "Well, Saurobix is still standing on his feet. However, I don't think I should think too hard this battle, right? My journey just started, I should have a little fun..."
He switched from witty remarks to carefree outbursts. "Saurobix, GROWL at them to show them we're not afraid!" he shouted in excitement, a sudden change from seriousness.

Joey frowned, as he seemed to realize this new trainer certainly wasn't scared of him. Though, he had received Twinkle when she was only a level three, and now he was level five! A whole two levels! Heh, he was such a Pokemon master! Smiling at Twinkle, who by this point just wanted to head back into his ball and stay there, forever, he called out his next choice in attack. "Twinkle, use Quick Attack girl!" ....Did he have to say girl after every sentence? With an annoyed growl to himself, the Rattata jumped into action, racing right towards Saurobix. Having the advantage of his speed this turn, he managed to collide with the Bulbasaur's frame, knocking him over in the process. Saurobix stood up and shook himself of some of the mud that had been laying there in a puddle. Now he was just annoyed. With a quick movement, Saurobix ended up in the same spot he had been before being attacked, with a renewed energy, he breathed in deeply and released another menacing growl that once again lowered the attack of the rat. "You better watch yourself! You may think you have Twinkle where you want her, but you don't know a thing!" Twinkle flicked an ear. If only he could for himself... ______________________________________________________ Hey, Hey, it's Bulbasaur VS, Rattata What Does the weather look like for you?: Normal To put it simply, your Pokemon this turn is: Still in the battle [X] Down for the count [] Switched for another [] Joey's Twinkle |Level 5| Health: 74% (14/19 HP)Status: Attack (-2)! Alex watched in suspense with his eyes tense with fright as the rat dashed quickly and slammed his bulbasaur. He watched as the bulb pokemon got knocked off balance, and the rodent returned to its side of the field. Saurobix panted a little, breathed heavily, but still have strength to gather himself on his feet. Alex decided that he should grab that potion from the starter pack he got from Dr. Oak and alleviate his pokemon's pain. He also decided that Twinkle is hardly a girl from watching the way the rat slammed on the bulbasaur. Hardly. Hardly not a female.
Alex opened his bag again, briefly take out the egg, and grabbed a small purple potion encased in plastic.
"Saurobix, come over," he initiated. "Come drink this POTION and gain some health."
Alex keeled down and allowed Saurobix climb on his leg to drink the potion. He popped open the cap and gently poured the healing liquid down on the seed pokemon. After drinking, Saurobix let out a sigh and stood still briefly. Then, he jumped in the air after being reinvigorated. Watching this, Alex is satisfied.
He ordered his pokemon to carry out another attack, "Saurobix, TACKLE mister Twinkle again."
Saurobix shouted "Bulba", and began charging for a tackle...

Watching as Alex healed his Pokemon considerately, Joey rolled his eyes and criticised such a method. " That is way not cool! Healing your Pokemon in a fight is really chicken." Flapping his arms like a cockerel and mimicking a chicken's cry, he began hesitatingly stepping around on the spot as he was the farm animal itself. " Twinkle here is so tough he doesn't need any healing! Quick Attack again! We gotta go fast!" Turning into a purple blur the moment Joey made his order, the long suffering Rattata briskly hit into Saurobix, only to bound off a little from how pathetic the attack had now become. " HUH?! That's no fair! Twinkle was doing so much damage earlier!" Annoyed, he licked the top of his lip before actually conceding some praise to Alex. " You must be pretty tough to get this far but lemme show you why Twinkle isn't anything to be laughed a-" Despite the youngster's impassioned speech, Alex's way of commanding seemed to bolster Saurobix's determination in battle. Rallied by its trainer's words, the plucky green reptile geared up for another offensive attack. Scraping his paws against the floor, it looked as if he was a raging bull waiting to wreck all devastation in a China shop. The Bulbasaur's bullish tackle would have to wait however as Joey was quick to try and patch over Alex's order. " Nuh uh! You forget that my Rattata's the fastest, Quick Attack!!" His voice was very grating, like that of a young brother whining to let his older sibling to hand over his possession. Just as annoyingly too, the sudden fleeting step of the Rattata symbolised the nine times out of ten it usually fell through when the parent of the two intervened so that they would place nice. Barging into Saurobix with a feeble assault, the rodent gulped as it looked at Alex's angered Pokemon's expression. Letting out a low sounding growl, the Bulbasaur dashed into it with a crushing force and seemed to impart a critical hit into the poorly nicknamed rat. Sending it flying into the air, it seemed to shrink to the size of an ant. Looking up with desperation, Joey cried out. " Noooo! How could you do that to Twinkle?! TWINKLE! COME DOOOOOWN!" As if responding to its master's wishes, the Pokemon suddenly came pelting downwards and crashed ungracefully into the floor. A clear victory to Saurobix and Alex it seemed. Trainer Battle
Joey's Twinkle | ♂ | Level 5 | Health : 0% (0/19 HP)Status : KO'd ... Saurobix | ♂ | Level 5 | Health : 62% (14/21 HP) Status : Normal; Defence -1 I'm not that strong but at least I can train to change, unlike your name Victory!
Your Bulbasaur fought courageously and has levelled up! It went up by 3 levels and is now Level 8! Saurobix learnt the move Leech Seed. Dashing over to his beloved Rattata, Joey scooped him up with his hands and almost filled with tears in his eyes, looked up the heavens and shouted out with a voice to match that of the Gods. " TWIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINNNNNNNNNNNNNKKKKLEEEEEE!!!!" Standing up, Joey looked at Alex with some bitterness and fear in his eyes. " HOW COULD YOU DO THIS TO MY FAVOURITE POKEMON?! ARGH." Stuffing his hands into his pockets, he throw some pocket money at Alex's feet before dashing off in the direction of Cherrygrove City. Considering the beating his Pokemon had just received, it wasn't all too surprising to surmise he was heading to a Pokemon Centre for an extensive fix up. For your victory, Youngster Joey hands you £200, score! Now that the troublesome youngster had disappeared off into the distance, the quaintness of Route 29 returned along with the peaceful silence it was known for. All that could be heard was a faint number of Pokemon cries from all around Alex. Maybe there were other beings out there waiting to encounter this trainer.

Alex was tense as the bulbasaur began his charge, but BAM! his bulbasaur slammed hard on the purple rat. The unfortunate thing bounced off into the air, twirling once, or maybe more before landing a few steps before the young boy's feet.
Alex watched tensely as the young trainer was angry for the loss, as well as saddened by his pokemon's untimely fainting. On the inside, he was shifting between the victorious joy from winning his first pokemon battle and first trainer battle, and the little sympathy for the other trainer's concern for his pokemon. However, before he could say anything comforting to the young boy, perhaps to boost his little esteem, the kid had already tossed a few paper money and dashed away. Alex picked up the winning streaks and counted 200 pokedollar. He quickly stuffed these into his wallet and looked happily at his victorious friend.
Alex hover down, and petted bulbasaur happily. The bulb pokemon responded with a wide grin. Spontaneously, the green pokemon let go of the trainer's embrace, and jumped into the open field. Then, it shot a few seeds into the air, and those seed landed on the ground, disappearing in the grass. Alex walked toward the grass to examine, the seeds looked like the size of a small battery. He noticed the seeds sprouted some vines, but quickly withered as the vines contact another plant.
"Looks like you learned Leech Seed," Alex smiled.
"Bulbasaur!" the pokemon merrily spoke.
After the brief moment of victory atmosphere, Alex suddenly remember something. After all, in just a short battle, a few events happened.
Before he could get to what he was going to do, he heard his backpack shuffled a little. He unzipped the backpack, and before him, an orange egg wobbled a little. Perhaps, he thought, the backpack helped shield it against the cool wind. The egg looked like it might hatched soon, probably when he is not paying attention.
Now, back to what he wanted to do, Alex pulled up a brochure of the pokemon that can be found in Route 29, and proceeded to walk gently on the grass. The grass muffled under his feet. Hopefully, he would encounter a wild pokemon, and not another annoying young trainer. Of course, those young trainer were likely to spot him before he could hide from them or something.
(OOC: nothing special happens. the egg wobbled a bit. and Alex is just now walking on the grass either waiting for a pokemon or another trainer.)

Now that the irritating Youngster Joey was out of his hair, Alex was free to continue his exploration of the quiet Route 29 with the company of his Bulbasaur and close to hatching egg. It's sudden bouts of twitching were interesting to say the least. Sitting in his backpack was a brand new life for him alone, to bring into the world, as well as a new battling partner and friend. It was only a matter of time now before it would hatch but surely a quick battle before then would be alright. As his feet rustled through the tall grass, there was no telling what would jump out at the new trainer next. Only a few youngsters lurked along the path and hopefully Joey had ran off to warn them, so perhaps Alex would be free from human interruptions for now. But before he could continue his search for wild Pokemon, a strange change of weather would be sure to distract the boy for a short amount of time instead.
The blizzard which had cloaked the Johto region had long since blown over but instead, rain clouds now loomed over head. Releasing ice cold droplets of water, a gentle rainfall began to scatter across the grassy plain. Now having to deal with the rain, Alex had no choice but to progress regardless. Not that it wouldnt go unrewarded. Lingering in the trunk of a hollow tree was a nest of small Wurmple, a motherly Beautifly trying to keep her young sheltered under her wings. Whilst all were fast asleep, the sudden down pour of rain stirred one of the Pokemon awake. Yawning tiredly, a lone Wurmple wriggled it's way past it's siblings and out into the open, sitting in the middle of the branch and yawning once again. Feeling a few specks of cool water rummage through the leaves and splatter on it's head was so much more refreshing than hail stones or snow.
However, out in the open wasn't the safest of places for one who was so young. A simple gust of freezing wind spiraled past the little bug, a scared squeak escaping it's snout as it was torn from the branch and tossed into the air like a rag doll. Now having to follow the course of the wind, the dizzy bug was fortunate enough to have a safe landing, right on top of Alex's head! Wriggling around, the confused Pokemon curled into a ball as it fell off and down into the grass by the trainer's feet. Slowly unraveling itself, the tiny bug looked up to the trainer, shivering at his giant size!
A wild Wurmple (Level 7) has appeared to battle! Please select a Pokemon.Rain will be in effect.

Passing through the grass with chilly wind blowing, Alex tugged the jacket tighter and shrugged himself a few times, as if his body would magically feel warmer. He felt a light drop of rain on his head, and immediately put on the head cover from his jacket. Bulbasaur also lightly muttered against the droplets, embracing the weather, and his masculinity.
Then, the dark clouds released the drench demon, soaking every thing the beast could shock with the pressure of hard pressed rain.
Suddenly, a soft skinned bug fell on his head and then bounced off on the grass in a curled ball. The timid wurmple stuttered its feet after it stared at the surprised human, as if it cannot decide what to do, or just cold from the rain, or both. Alex thought that the wurmple was just shocked from the pull of gravity during the rain.
Overhead the tree, the beautifly was still shielding her children from the cold rain with her magnificent wings. Between the loud beats of rain, the light flutter of her shielding wings and the sweet snoring of her children, she was likely unable to tell one of her children fell off the tree.
Back to Alex and Saurobix, the two were caught in surprise of the wild wurmple. Although Alex liked bug pokemon, he does not like being bumped in a head with anything heavier and harder than a pillow or plush toy. He took a second to recollect himself as the cold rain slapped on his jacket. He decided quickly, that this was a great opportunity to catch another pokemon, hopefully evolve into beautifly or dustox. After all, he knew almost every bug and grass type pokemon discovered up to this day! (Now, just don't hit him with a geodude!!) Additionally, understanding bug and plant pokemon was his intention to be a trainer, and hopefully a doctor, in the first place.
Eager for another battle, Saurobix dug some mud on its paw, as if charging for a tackle, while lowly growling his readiness.
"Wait," Alex spoke, "let's not be too harsh to this little thing in the weather. We'll just weaken it slightly, okay?"
The bulbasaur agreed with his vocal response, mixed with enthusiasm and anticipation. After all, a fight was still a fight, even if it was just weakening a pokemon.
"Alright," Alex began his command, "use your new move Leech Seed on this wurmple."
Saurobix merrily prepared a seed to fire to his new opponent. Aiming at the wurmple, the plant pokemon catapulted a brown, thumb-sized seed.
(OOC: I decided to write a little more, with some light humor in this, if you laugh or chuckle at this.)

The Wurmple whimpered slightly, unsure of what to do. This enormous creature that it had landed on seemed angry… The two-legged monster – were they called trainers? – was ordering a strange green Pokemon around. The green monster growled at Wurmple, and the tiny worm curled up, shimmying away from the scary monsters. This was why its mother had told it never to leave the nest alone, or terrifying monsters like these two would eat the worm!
But the Wurmple was shocked when the green monster stopped at the trainer’s command. The strange creature looked back with a happy expression on its face, a strange expression for a beast. And such a strange beast, too… The Wurmple was a bit curious about the bulb that appeared to be sitting on the monster’s back. Was it food? The tiny worm began to salivate at the mention of food. It began to inch closer, curious about the possibility of food.
But when Saurobix turned around, ready to attack, the Wurmple froze in place, eyes wide as if it had been caught stealing food. Saurobix took no notice. After all, it just made things easier for him. Widening his stance, he fired a single seed towards the worm Pokemon, hoping that his aim was good. Luckily, the Wurmple thought the Leech Seed was food. It watched, entranced, as the seed flew up and came soaring down, bouncing off the ground before the little Wurmple. Unsure of what the seed was, the Wurmple inched forward, sniffing the seed tentatively. Was it food? Were the monsters offering a truce.
At that moment, the seed cracked open and strange-looking vines shot out, wrapping around the Wurmple. Yelping, the worm tried to escape the vines, but to no avail. Definitely not food, DEFINITELY not food! In its desperation, the Wurmple fired off several wild shots of Poision Sting as it flailed. There was no logic behind the attack: the creature was simply attacking at random. A few stray darts hit Saurobix, grazing the green dinosaur’s skin and causing tiny droplets of blood to well up along the scratches. Growling, the Bulbasaur drew in energy from the Leech Seed, watching the Wurmple freeze as the seed drained a bit of its energy. A green light grew on the seed, before the light shot toward Saurobix, spreading over the Pokemon’s wounds. The light covered the scratches, reverting the Pokemon’s skin back to its original state, and scar-free. The Wurmple shuddered as it felt a drop in its energy, and it wondered if the seed was to blame for this strange feeling.
Suddenly, the egg in Alex's pack shuddered violently. A loud tapping could be heard from within the egg, as if something was fighting its way out. A crack rang out, and light flooded out of the bag, sending almost heavenly rays of light skyward. As the light dimmed, a chirping echoes out of the pack. A bright orange head popped out, beady eyes blinking in the light. The Torchic peered around, taking in its surroundings. Unsure of where it was, it chirped hesitantly for its mother, causing Saurobix to look back at his newest team member.

OOC: Name: Rosthrem Gender: FemaleLevel: 5 Attacks: Scratch, Growl Ability: Blaze Nature/Personality: Even though she is not a grass type or bug type pokemon, Alex is learning to treat his pokemon equally. Active and energetic, Rosther likes to either chirp or run a lot. In her excitement, sometimes she forgets the safety of others. How would Alex grow with this pokemon that is not exactly his favorites? Etymology: Rooster + Therm Other: ZapdosZulu Promotional Pokémon; Easter 2012 update for Saurobix: Nature/Personality: Bold Since Alex is a careful person, Saurobix's boldness could get in the way of pokemon battling or defending from wild pokemon. Saurobix seems to be driven by his eagerness to battle so much that he frequently ignores his teammates. How would Saurobix and Alex learns to balance each other's personality? Etymology: Sauros (Greek: lizard) + misspelling of "bits", like this pokemon eat food in small bits IC: Just as the leech seed about to land the ground, Alex could feel a bright light from within his backpack. He hastily took off his backpack and place it on the ground and loosen up the zips to reveal the magic underneath. A creature with furry, orange head and yellow crown looked up, peering the surrounding. A human face up close and a green dinosaur in the distance, and a suffering red worm up ahead of the dinosaur. Saurobix, in the heat of the battle (that has just begun), shot a glance at the furry pokemon and quickly returned his gaze to the helpless wurmple. Then, as if almost forgetting the rain, the rain pounded hard on the new pokemon as the trainer looked at it in amazement. The chick pokemon shook off the cold continuous droplets of water off her face, as if the rain would stop coming down. Alex unzipped the backpack as far as it can, and gently grabbed the young pokemon out of its confinement. Reaching into his pocket, he grabbed a sphere with color split, red and white, and held it on the pokemon. "So, uh," he began, not sure if this pokemon is called torchic, combusken, torchen, combuskick, or something, since fire pokemon was not his concern since childhood. "How about you get away from the rain first?" he smiled cluelessly at the pokemon. The fledgling pokemon glanced briefly at this speaking foreign object, pondering. The beating of the cold rain immediately made the warm bodied pokemon obediently to get away from the rain. A beam of red light shot from the pokeball and contact the pokemon. The new pokemon immediately disappeared with the red light, and can be seen inside the pokeball. What species is this pokemon? What should I name it? Should I keep it? But then the Lopunny gave it to me-- his thoughts were flooded with ideas. "Bulba--" Saurobix casually growled, reminding the trainer that they have a bug to deal with. Looking at the wurmple, Alex saw that the leech seed had sprouted and wrapped its tiny vines around the squishy-looking pokemon. It just need a little bit more weakening, he thought. "Alright, Saurobix," Alex commanded, "hit the wurmple with a Tackle!"There was a brief silence with nothing but the rain hitting on rustling leaves, Alex's polyester jacket, Saurobix's scales, and the wurmple's thin layer of exoskeleton.
