Considering Tobias had just traversed a sprawling forest to make it to the city of Goldenrod, it was understandable that his elation of escaping Ilex was short lived. As he stepped past the impressive gates into the forest, he looked over into the distance. Far off in the way was the impressive metropolis of Goldenrod. It was the biggest population for any dwelling in Johto and offered scant hints of nostalgia from a man who hailed from a region bursting to the brim with massive cities as its staple. There was but one problem. A lengthy route from the forest exit to Goldenrod city blocked his way. "Nnnnrgh... Whoever designed this region..." He cursed under his breath. Judging from the length of this route, it would take a good day and a bit to arrive at Goldenrod. Stepping forward, he analysed the best way forward. The pathway veering away from the tall grass was visible but would surely add on time to the overall journey. Deciding to take his chances, Tobias strolled forward without care as he made his way in a direct beeline for the city.

As Tobias finally made it out of the myriad of trees, it was not unusual to curse at the sight of the long route ahead, which led to Goldenrod City. Many a trainer, or even Rocket, would traverse the dense woodland only to appear out the other side and find themselves with still a decent amount of travelling to go. Still, the weather was calm, the sound of gentle waves rocking into each other from the small beach close by being the most notable. A gentle, autumnal breeze ruffled past him, parting blades of grass as if to welcome him as he decided to make a brave move by straying off the beaten path. If he wanted to approach the glorious city quicker then it was a good plan but as soon as his foot left the safety of the dirt track, numerous eyes of lurking Pokemon pinned onto him, considering whether or not to pounce. The wild creatures in this area were much bigger and tougher in comparison to other areas he had visited and they were not afraid to let themselves be known.
Lurking close by was something of medium build, it's rough brown fur and long thin tail blending in with the tall autumn grass. After nibbling away at some berries it had recently unburied, the creature was surprised to see a tall human stroll past. Shoving the rest of the fruit into it's mouth, the wild Pokemon began it's stealthy crawl after Tobias, claws scratching up the dirt as it moved. This particular Raticate was known to be a bit of a bully in the area, it's nest located near the entrance of the forest so that it could pounce on tired trainers and steal any edible belongings. But with Tobias, it may very well of met it's match. Creating a manic rustle directly behind the male, the overgrown rodent shot in a different direction, dashing to the front of Tobias and bearing it's white, pearly fangs menacingly. He wasn't about to let him continue on.

Strolling forward with utmost determination displayed in his eye, Tobias almost ignored outright the sudden manic explosion of rustling in the bushes. It was only when the noise became positioned behind him that he took notice, ready to defend himself. It was his one goal to make it to Goldenrod but there would be no point if he was injured and had to deal with any impetus. Turning around on the spot he flicked his eye to the side as the rustling averted it's direction. Making a second turn on the spot, he hopped back to create as much distance with an athletic leap out of harm's way. Taking sight of the enemy, Tobias recognised the Pokemon from having one of his own in his sortie. "Hmph. Not only do these backwater morons not understand the importance of connected city links but their rats have overgrown to ridiculous proportions." Taking shot at Johto's way of life, he wasted no time in forwarding a Pokemon to defend himself from danger. If this Raticate was anything like the one he had hacked on the day of his arrival, he'd need to take care of this swiftly and thoroughly.
Launching the Pokeball from the cusp of his hand in an arc like direction, the capsule device exploded with a burst of light as it revealed none other than a creation of his own ability. Lateralus. "Lateralus. Boot offensive mode." Ordering the Pokemon as if he were a mere operating system, Tobias' words were filled with a lack of warmth to his Pokemon. If anything there was an unmistakeable tone of disdain for the Pokemon. Having built his own Porygon from scratch, only for it to be hijacked by Silph Co. via a back door remote control, he was keen to over ride the process. Having compiled a string of code to combat this, he just needed the Pokemon to level up in order to bypass the security threat. There was no way he would have a corporation such as Silph Co. having surveillance over his operations. Deciding to pursue with a hit hard and fast option, he almost hesitated as he ordered the next move. It wasn't exactly his favourite affinity. "Lateralus. Execute move... Ice Beam." Moving around erratically in mid air, the holographic like creature acknowledged the move as it began to process the request.

Cutting Tobias off from his stern stroll to Goldenrod City, the rodent was ready for this upcoming brawl. Eyeing the tall male cautiously as he lept back to create a gap in between the pair, he was atleast now able to get a better look at what he was up against. The Raticate itself was pretty basic, nothing made it stand out from the rest of it's species other than the fact that it's fur was relatively fluffy and teeth shiny. Usually the first Pokemon to spring on unsuspecting trainers escaping Ilex Forest, it had lived on a healthy diet of berries up until this point. Boasting some confidence, it wasn't intimidated by Tobias' suave aura. Expecting the typical fiery lizard starter to come out and scorch it, the rodent found itself puzzled at just what it was looking at. It was clearly a Pokemon but it had no scent or hint of emotion that the Raticate could use to it's advantage. It was almost robotic, a fake life.
This mild confusion on what it was up against would be a step toward the Raticate's downfall. Reacting to Tobias' authoritative orders, Lateralus began to whir as if booting up software before reeling backward and creating a sharp burst of ice which cut through the autumnal air. Striking the Raticate with perfect precision, it shrieked in absolute pain as the cold pierced it's body, sending painful chills all over. Lateralus took note that the move had hit and immediately stopped the beam, processing the damages it had landed on the foe before it. Shaking, the Raticate glared at the Porygon2, it was amazing that the rodent was still alive. With it's last ounce of strength, the Raticate hobbled forward, opening it's jaw wide and chomping down powerfully. All of a sudden, there was a hideous crack. Bit by bit, parts of the wild Raticate's teeth began to tumble away from it's mouth whilst Lateralus' body remained pristine and unscathed. Hobbling backward in despair, the Raticate couldn't believe it's misfortune.

Folding his arms as he looked down at the Raticate with contempt, it was clear that the Pokemon of this reserve where lacking to say the least. Lateralus boasted an incredible array of attacks that were amplified by Tobias' own programming skills but he had hoped they would have at least some backbone this far into the region. Nevertheless, even weakling vermin such as this Raticate had its uses. "Lateralus; enter standy by mode." Following its trainer's commands, the virtual Pokemon desisted and moved to the side, out of the way of battle. Lowering his folded arms, Tobias reached to his tie and gave it a good adjustment in order to tighten it. Opening his eye after doing so, he had decided that if he would come across anything in this last stretch, he would take them prisoner and sell them on for funding. Clicking his fingers, Prometheus made away acrobatically as he swung to the male's chest, opening the jacket and pulling out and unused Pokeball. Initiating the capture sequence, the fire monkey tapped the centre, enlarging the Pokeball to pass onwards to Tobias who had left the palm of his hand open. Retreating back into place, Prometheus snickered with a snide look on his expression. Clutching onto the Pokeball, Tobias took a careful aim before launching it forward with gusto. Flying through the air, the Pokeball hurtled towards its target.

Still writhing in pain of having it's prized teeth smashed up, the overgrown rodent frantically tried to reach to it's jaw with stubby arms, hoping that no more shards would crack and fall off. Far too busy with it's own predicament, it hadn't noticed that the Porygon2 had since saddled itself to one side as it's master stood forward. Tears almost swelling in the rodents eyes as it pondered on if it will ever be able to eat delicious berries again, it was in for a much worse ride than worrying about having to drink mushed down berries through a straw. With the indispensable help of Prometheus swinging into his jacket and pulling out a lone Pokeball, it was now up to Tobias to focus on his aim. Reeling his arm back before tossing the ball forward, the saddened Raticate barely looked up in time, seeing it's fate as a slave flash before it's very eyes. Never had it fallen so low on health that a trainer had manage to throw a Pokeball at it. Feeling utterly defeated and humiliated, the Raticate was drawn inside by a bright flash of red light. Falling to the ground, the ball began to shake.

His eyes not really paying attention to the Pokeball wriggling about as it strived to capture the wild Pokemon, he seemed instead fixated on the Porygon2 beside him. Noticing his disinterest, Prometheus took this as a hint to slink off from the male and go and collect the bounty they were capturing. Hopping over to the Pokeball, he raised a paw in front of his mouth as he inquisitively bowed his head from side to side as it seemed to be taking longer than usual. Eventually the Pokeball let out its classic ting notifying the user it had successfully captured its target. Picking up the Pokeball high above his head, the Pansear let out a triumphant squeal before shaking it roughly a few times. Noticing Tobias has not said anything, he turned around with an uncertain look. The reason for Tobias' silence was about to become very clear. His face becoming redder, Tobias was starting to look like a beetroot as he bit his tongue to prevent himself from entering into an outrage. Bobbing up and down in the air with its head twitching from side to side every so often, the Porygon appeared to be clueless to its programmer's building rage. " CURSES!" He roared, unable to keep his anger under wraps any longer. " I BET SILPH CO. DID THIS!!" Raising his fists into the air angrily, Tobias looked at his C-Gear ever so quickly before entering into a raving lunacy. " YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME?!" His eye leering vehemently, it appeared the problem was that his Porygon needed to level up in order to enable the exploit Tobias had programmed to take over the Pokemon once more. It would've succeeded too however it appeared Silph Co. had engineered some rather amusing (or bemusing from Tobias' point of view) restrictions to try and prevent a level up from occurring. His Porygon was but a single shred of experience from being able to boot the exploit. " PROMETHEUS!! Scour the fields! We must find another target!" He spat with absolute fury in his voice. Jumping up and down, Prometheus quickly began dashing in and out of the grass to round up another unfortunate victim. OOC: Boxing the Raticate and putting up for sale. LOL to that exp though. 1 exp off?! You can only laugh about it haha.

As Tobias erupted into a fit of pure rage in one corner of Route 34, just a little close by was something a bit more serene. Grazing in the cool autumn air was a small group of Ponyta, each nibbling at bits of grass and whatever else they could find. It had been a glorious, calm day but not for much longer. Given his orders, a frantic Prometheus was on the hunt for another victim but as luck would have it, everything close by had since fled due to the mixture of the capture of Raticate as well as a rather enraged Tobias yelling at the top of his lungs. Knowing that he couldn't leave Tobias alone for too much longer, the Pansear became a bit more frantic with his search. Pouncing up into a nearby tree, he scanned the surrounding area, gazing once over his shoulder only to grimace at the sight of his trainer still fuming. Almost shaking with nerves, he turned back to his search, eyes picking up on a hopeful sight.
Dashing back down the tree trunk, Prometheus rustled his way through the tall grass, swiftly approaching the herd of Ponyta. With little time to waste, he took a brave leap up onto the neck of the closest one and hung on for dear life. The addition of this Pansear set the Ponyta into their own frenzy. Neighing loudly, the one Prometheus had gripped onto stood up onto it's hind legs, beckoning the others to make a escape. Dashing off into separate directions, the lone Ponyta was all that remained. Jumping, bucking and shaking frantically in order to get the monkey off of it's body, the Ponyta suddenly took a different approach and began to charge around frantically. Clinging on tightly, Prometheus attempted to reign in the Ponyta, using the fact that it was running around to lead the flaming horse back to Tobias. With a bit of fine tuning, the Pansear eventually gained control, guiding the Ponyta to his trainer.
Slowing down as a human came into view, the wild horse lifted itself up again, neighing loudly and snorting air from it's nostrils. Leaping to the ground, Prometheus wearily wobbled his way back to Tobias' side, not wanting to ride this crazy buckaroo anymore.

Searching frantically himself, Tobias cut his arms out horizontally like a sword as if trying to cut down the endless rows of tall grass surrounding him. Noting Prometheus had well and truly set off in search of other targets, he turned to look at Lateralus. Although not physically doing anything, he knew the Pokemon was using its scanning ability to radar for any nearby targets. Be it trainer or Pokemon. With a lack of feedback from the Pokemon, Tobias held off on overexerting himself. Instead, he took a significant inhale of his cigarette. Letting the smoke fume inside his body, he opened his eyes as the smoke dispersed from out of his nostrils. It had been long enough. About to call to his other Pokemon to search for other opportunities and to reconvene Prometheus, his ears pricked up when he could hear the distinct sound of drama unfolding off in the distance.
Turning to the cause of all the commotion, Tobias remained perfectly still as he failed to react to the sudden emergence of a fiery steed bursting through the tall grass to the side of him. Instead, taking another hefty dreg of his smoke, he looked up with his emotionless eye and breathed out a lot of smoke in the wild Pokemon's face. Noting Prometheus had gone flying off, he allowed the simian to reclimb to his usual perch on his shoulder and looked up at the Pokemon. Fire Pokemon were typically a rarity; their fiery affinity not well suited for urban, closed environments nor that of lush, sprawling fields. Either of the two meant a raging fire could spiral out of control. So to come across such a Pokemon was something of a surprise to the male. The other interest that had piqued his intrigue was once again the fire the Pokemon harnessed. Having endured the frozen scar inflicted on him from his youth, he had tried nearly everything. From the world's best surgeons, to old superstitious remedies, even everything short of burning the ice from his face. Nothing worked. The only real treatment he found worked for him was the soothing, rejuvenating properties of Prometheus' heat.
He somehow doubted but could this Pokemon be of some use in alleviating his affliction? Even if it turned out to be of no use, he would at least have another Fire type Pokemon to bolster within his ranks. Tapping his finished cigarette onto the ground, he raised his foot and stomped forward with his stylish footwear, putting out the butt. His hands resting casually in his trouser pockets, he displayed no fear whatsoever. Instead he coldly issued out the order to his Pokemon. "Lateralus; initiate attack mode." Taking a leap back, his virtual Pokemon teleported past the male, appearing in front of him, heading off the Ponyta. Following on with the command, Tobias issued his attack. "Execute move Psybeam." Whirring and focusing, the Porygon2 could be seen loading up the program for the move. With any luck, it would weaken the Pokemon enough for capture. Speaking out loud, Tobias remained intent on the battle at hand but was speaking to his monkey. "Bypassing Silph Co's restraints and obtaining another Fire type Pokemon. Two birds with one stone. Efficient." It wasn't directed explicitly at Prometheus but it was praise all the same. Sneering with his usual warped grin, the Pokemon followed Tobias' lead and observed the battle carefully.

Charging through the tall grass at full speed, the Ponyta was startled at the sight of the upcoming human. Grinding to a halt, it was dealt a face full of smoke, causing it to rear back and neigh loudly with displeasure. It was a fire type but that type of smoke was toxic to it's senses. Shaking it's head frantically, the Ponyta began to back up whilst snorting it's nostrils loudly. The Ponyta's reaction to the cigarette smoke gave Tobias some time to examine his next opponent, whilst Prometheus climbed wearily back up his arm. Leaning back casually with hands in his pockets, Tobias was going to use the appearance of this fiery horse to his advantage in more ways than one. The idea of using it as the final push for Lateralus' evolution as well as a new fire type to his arsenal making the encounter more than convenient.
The wild Ponyta thought otherwise, however. Finally getting it's head straight after being blasted with smoke, the wild horse narrowed it's eyes into a glare, skipping between Tobias to Prometheus to Lateralus. Taking a step or two back with it's boney legs, the Ponyta was planning on escaping but a part of it's pride wasn't allowing it to move. Being reigned in by some monkey and then blasted by a human chimney didn't sit too well with the horse, the flames across it's body flickering angrily until it flashed with a much more powerful flame, as if accepting the challenge. Hoping to face the Pansear to deal some revenge, the Ponyta's opponent was instead that of Lateralus, who teleported eerily forward, startling the wild Pokemon some. Not understanding why it was whirring like a machine, the Ponyta's curiosity was about to be it's downfall as an array of colours formed into that of a beam, striking the Ponyta with no hesitance.
Toppling to the ground, the Ponyta's eyes widened in horror at this outrageous about of pain which now surged through it's body. Showing a bit of stubbornness, it quickly tried to get back up and onto it's hooves, the pain clear as it's body shook violently, only barely remaining conscious. Breathing heavily, it focused all energy onto the flames across it's body before neighing loudly and taking a frantic charge forward. As each hoof touched the ground, the horse's body became engulfed in flames, eyes locking onto the body of the Porygon2. Seemingly charging straight through the body of Lateralus, the Ponyta appeared on the other side of the creature, flames dying down as it blinked in confusion. Last minute, the Porygon2 had changed it's body back to it's holographic state, missing the brunt of the attack and hardly feeling anything at all.

Tutting disappointedly, Tobias remained solemnly expressionless with his facial features. Instead, he remained perfectly still on the spot as he stared down the Ponyta. Lateralus had been built with his own two hands, his very intelligence put towards the crafting of this virtual Pokemon. So he was understandably aware that the foes he pitted the Porygon against would come up short but given how much of a beating the Ponyta received, he was almost tempted to finish it off here and now. The poor posture and clear waning of its fatigue were all too apparent. Would he really benefit from adopting such a weak, pathetic creature into his ranks? "Hmph. For a blazing steed of fire, your flames don't burn quite nearly enough." Shaking his head, his words elicited a cheeky snigger from Prometheus who grinned at the Ponyta in a disrespectful manner as his paw lowered from covering his mouth.
"I will give you once chance. And one chance only. Should I not see enough progress then I will ensure you are shipped off to the highest bidder on the black market. Hopefully with a perchance for abusing their Pokemon..." He muttered. "Prometheus." Ordered Tobias. It may not have given the most guiding action to take but the fire monkey knew exactly what to do next. Swinging down from Tobias' shoulder, the monkey hung from the side of Tobias' jacket, opened up the other side and took out yet another spare Pokeball. Extending the ball's size and enabling it for capture, he swung back up, not before passing on the Pokeball to Tobias himself. "Don't struggle." He stated in a commanding tone. Lifting his arm up, he took aim at the wearied Ponyta and lobbed the capturing device forward.

The Ponyta, still puzzled by the strange form of Lateralus, remained standing on the spot with a look of mild confusion still spread across it's face. The Ponyta, as well as it's herd, had bumped into multiple trainers who had wanted to capture the fiery steeds for their own personal benefits but most of the time, the wild stallions would be victorious. After just a single hit from this one, however, the Ponyta felt terrified. Never before had it be struck so viciously, causing a throbbing pain which pulsated across it's entire body, making it difficult to remain standing on it's wobbling, knobbly legs. The other odd thing about the odd shaped Pokemon that it was facing was the lack of emotion. The Porygon2 was so robotic, the whirring noises it emitted before attacking only backing up this fact. The Ponyta had absolutely no idea what this thing was or if it would be able to fight back for much longer.
Snorting an angry blast of air out of it's nostrils, the Ponyta attempted to straighten itself up, the flames across it's body fading ever so slightly, giving the biggest hint that it was about to collapse at any moment. Eyes blinking weakly, it was aware that the human was talking but couldn't quite understand what he was trying to say. Not wanting to give up regardless, it was trying so hard focusing on remaining standing that it didn't realise a Pokeball was now soaring through the air. As the object tapped it's body, the Ponyta was drawn into the device. Shaking violently, it was clear that the fiery horse was doing the opposite of Tobias' warning and was trying it's best to fight it's way back out of the ball.

His Porygon had its uses. Not only did it have applications as an interface with machine platforms, virtual operations and proving itself time and time again in terms of its battle prowess, it was also seemed to puzzle Pokemon and people it came across. The element of surprise was useful in any situation. Whilst the Pokeball soared through the air towards the Ponyta, Tobias realised the lack of certainty would be the Pokemon's undoing. As it absorbed the Pokemon into its centre, the spherical device fell to the floor and began rattling backwards and forwards violently. " No doubt a boisterous steed such as this would resist." Accepted Tobias as he kept his eye carefully trained on the Pokeball itself. With a final rock of the device, a faint glow signified the Pokemon itself had been successfully caught. Raising a hand that gestured at the Pokeball, Prometheus scuttled off into action to secure the Pokemon. As he did Tobias quickly focused his interest in that of his Porygon-2. Scrutinising the Pokemon's appearance for any signs of a change, he bluntly stared with an obvious feeling of let down. " Silph Co. are a thorn far greater in my side than I had first thought. This doesn't make any sense, at this point the over ride should have been implemented. It's taken in enough battle data to analyse and force boot the exploit I had been working on." Stepping forward, Tobias was taken off guard completely as the virtual Pokemon suddenly exploded with an array of light that sent shock waves flying out from its centre. An evolution was taking place, this much was certain. But something else was causing such an intense burst of light. Backing off with his forearm raised to shield himself from the intensity, he felt his clothes ripple as they struggled against the surging increase in energy. " With any luck this will be freeing my program from the shackles of Silph Co...!" Muttered Tobias drearily in his mind to himself. As the light surge started to fade, Tobias withdrew his arm for protection and stood proudly at the marvel of his creation. Now before him stood the ultimate evolution of the Porygon virtual Pokemon. " Porygon-Z!!" He declared triumphantly. With his skills as a hacker and computer genius, he had seen lines of code made by like minded individuals looking to push the Porygon series to their limits. The prototype original was far too basic, the official upgrade by Silph Co. far too conservative. With the the Z series at his disposal, he now possessed a truly frightening force at his disposal. Scanning over with his wrist device, Tobias nodded contently as he scanned for any trace of Silph coding in the Pokemon's make up. Their meddling had been purging from the system. And with Tobias sealing off all potential back door exploits for Silph Co. to worm their way in, he now had full ownership over this amplified Pokemon. In his elation at obtaining the Pokemon, he had forgot one fatal matter. It was only as his eye scanned the coding speeding along the device's display that his face tensed worriedly. " NO!" By the time he had released that his additional coding to install Hyper Beam as an offensive component to its arsenal was remembered, he noticed there had been no inhibitor in place to control the move correctly. Taking a mighty leap over to behind a raised portion of the hill, he was seconds out before a deafening expulsion of energy was heard. " What a ridiculous oversight..." He cursed. Without a doubt, this was certainly not a mistake of his own. He must have been distracted when one of his good for nothing colleagues in his Rocket squadron distracted him. Was it Coyote trying to get Tobias interest in the new skirts he was chasing about or Lucretia with some insane business proposal. Shaking his head off the matter, he had far more pressing concerns. Without any coding in place, Lateralus had no means of being able to stop the move. That being the case, it wouldn't be long before the devastating move and Lateralus' new offensive capabilities combined would lay waste to the everything in its vicinity. With a quake of the land around him, the full force of the attack could be felt, even in his flimsy sanctuary. Knowing what had to be done, he quickly began intercepting the coding on his device to perform a much needed software patch to be able to reign in the ungodly destruction. Feeling the beams cause even further havoc, a sudden boom of energy caused a flying chunk of land to come crashing down next to him. Distracted momentarily, he realised that Prometheus was nowhere to be found. Sparing not so much a thought for his Pokemon's well being, he quickly began constructing code to allow an inhibitor. As he did so, terrified screeches sounding from that of a monkey could be heard. Having gone off to secure the Ponyta at the behest of his master, he was left unaware by the sudden onslaught that had emerged. Hopping from side to side whilst clutching onto the Pokeball haphazardly, it was very rare that Prometheus found himself in a situation such as this. Dodging an almost surely fatal hit, the monkey landed on his footing awkwardly as he tried to keep his paws secured on the Pokeball. Looking around, it was almost as if Tobias had been disintegrated by the beam. Distracted for that mere second, another charge up of the beam could be heard. Turning his head, the Pansear almost passed out as he saw the Porygon-Z's aim being in the general direction of where he stood. Realising this was likely the end, the Pokemon hugged the Pokeball, scrunched up his eyes and looked back on a life that had been by all intents and purposes, been quite a carefree and spoilt one. Although having accepted his fate, Prometheus blinked as there appeared to be a delay in getting annihilated. At the very same moment, Tobias stood up valiantly, without so much a fear in his posture. His complete and utter certainty in his programming ability was likely the cause for such limitless confidence. With a loud, authoritative growl, he made clear his order. " LATERALUS! HYPER BEAM INHIBITOR INITIATE!" Having uploaded his additional rule into the programming, it was thankful that nothing more was to come of the Porygon-Z's uncontrollable rampage. " Hmph. Not a moment too soon." Surveying the area around him, it was as if a war torn battlefield had been substituted for the green pastures of the route he had first explored. The hyper beams had caused absolute carnage, massive craters now littering the route path. Flicking his eye to Lateralus, it was clear he was impressed, despite not showing any emotion. Returning the Pokemon to his device, Tobias looked to Prometheus and gestured for him to return to his shoulder. Prometheus' jaw dropping, the simian wasn't too sure how to entirely react. There it was, it's life flashing before its eyes, making peace with its maker and now it was back to its servitude. Rattling his head, the monkey hurried back over to Tobias, handing him the Pokeball in the process. " I'll need to stress test this move and ensure the inhibitor is fit for use." He noted in a sterile, scientific way. Leaving behind the desecrated area, he began heading over to untouched taller grass. OOC: Boxing Ponyta for now, will decide gender/personality later.
Letting Lateralus evolve, i've updated it so the dubious disc is removed.
I also bought TM Hyper Beam from store but for plot purposes going to work it in that its an additional side effect of evolving into Porygon-Z.

Leaving the Hyper-beam'd crater behind him, Tobias moved onto the tall grass, with the motivation to test out his newly evolved Porygon-Z and Hyper Beam in mind. Prometheus followed carefully behind him, hoping as to not accidentally hid himself in the grass and get blasted by any Pokemon's uncontrolled ranged attack this time. It didn't even take long for a wild Pokemon to appear, and in fact, Tobias haven't even step a foot in the tall grass. Apparently during his hacking and modification to the Porygon-Z's program and the loud beaming doom of destruction in the area, some of the wild Pokemon fled in panic, landing in the tall grasses away from Tobias. For this particular avian, it was unfortunate that the tall grass it hid away was the direction that Tobias was going toward, in that direction of the radius. Out of all the possible radius Tobias could have walked into, the one he chose was the one this Pidgeotto was. Being one of the many witnesses who saw the power of this trainer and its... Pokemon. This Pidgeotto was determined to stop Tobias's track with its powerful wings and talons.
The (Level 15) Pidgeotto is mad at you for destroying nature!

Taking a sudden stop to his march. He stood on the spot and remained perfectly still as his eye flicked up to follow the sudden rustle of movement that ultimately lead to that of a Pokemon soaring from out of the bushes. As he eventually had to crane his neck to take in what exactly the Pokemon was that had made itself known to the criminal, he looked around in the sky with very little luck. It was only when Prometheus began spotting as well that the fiery simian found its location and let out a few chimps as he pointed up to the direction in the sky the aggressor was confirmed. His eye following the line pointed out to him, he took in the avian's form before noting it was none other than a wild Pidgeotto. Dully unimpressed, it was enough of a practice target to utilise Lateralus' Hyper Beam on a live target. Considering the bird also had vast potential at aerial manoeuvres and high speeds to push his Porygon-Z's targeting system to the limits, it was perhaps a worthy first trial specimen than first thought.
Summoning forth the virtual Pokemon once more, it appeared from out of the Pokeball and floated mid air creepily as it was almost a perfect extension of Tobias himself. Going through the motions, Tobias spoke out, taking charge of his cyber Pokemon. "Lateralus; initiate target locking protocols. Target: Pidgeotto." Following the command, the Porygon-Z began utilising its targeting capabilities as it located the aggressive Pidgeotto. It may have wanted to stop Tobias from wrecking any more chaos but it was going to be in for a fight. "HB inhibitors unlocked. Hyper Beam module, execute. On my mark..." Watching as the Pokemon flapped its wings at them all, Tobias took the opportunity to strike. "Hyper Beam cannon... FIRE." As the Pokemon processed the command, it used its multi core processors to summon forth enough energy to transfer into the attack itself. As it whirred up and began generating the beam, Prometheus let out a devilish little snicker and waved bye bye to the wild Pokemon. As far as the Pansear was concerned, it was nice to be on the other end of the barrel.
