Now circling around in the air, the proud Pidgeotto glared down to Tobias as the human began moving once again. After being so rudely disturbed as well as it's home being destroyed by his rampaging flurry of Hyper Beam's, the avian was going to have it's comeuppance. Waiting for the right time to strike, the agile bird was finally spotted thanks to the guiding hand of Prometheus on the human's shoulder, leading to the reappearance of the creature that started this whole mess. Glaring down with it's beady eyes, the enraged bird wasn't going to allow it to be withdrawn away this time. Folding it's wings, the bird began to swoop downward with an agile grace, speed accelerating the further it began to drop. Hoping to kick up a wave of sand to temporarily blind the creature, the plan of the avian was going to be short lived. With it's inhibitor removed and order input into it's memory, the Porygon-Z began to execute the command. Once again whirring into action as it loaded necessary lock on programs, Lateralus booted up the information of Hyper Beam and began to gather energy.
Eyes locking onto the sight of the approaching Pidgeotto, it was a simple matter for the Porygon-Z as it quickly worked out the speed the avian was travelling at and how quickly it, itself needed to load it's program in order to strike first. Hovering in mid air, Lateralus moved forward to spot where Tobias would not be harmed by the beam and locked itself into place, it's arms clinked downward and head eerily raised. The tip of it's nose began creating a disastrous orb of purple energy. Thinking it still had time to attack, the Pidgeotto couldn't have been anymore wrong with it's timing. Erupting into a mighty blast accompanied by a horrific, robotic shriek of a noise, the sheer power of the attack caused Lateralus to recoil back somewhat. Yet it had perfect control of the incredible array of colour as it struck the Pidgeotto dead on, sending it soaring across the sky and disappearing into the heart of the beam. Only seconds later, Lateralus could no longer pick up on the presence of it's target, immediately halting it's command. Only several feathers flowing down and the Pidgeotto itself no where to be seen, leaving it up to the imagination if it had been completely destroyed or landed painfully in the middle of the sea.

Remaining emotionless as the whirring sound emanating from the heart of his Porygon-Z, Tobias was secretly intent on seeing the destruction the move would have on a rival Pokemon. It had proven to be devastating on the landscape but if this offered just as good destructibility against would be aggressors, there would be very little to curb his progress. A blast as powerful as the one Lateralus was able to conjure would surely stand up to the frozen dragon from his past. As the light around them began to dim seemingly because of the blinding light surging from Lateralus itself, Tobias observed carefully at what the Pidgeotto was attempting. Clearly it was hoping to flinch Lateralus to the point the attack would be interrupted but a small smirk appeared at the corner of Tobias' lips. A Pokemon as synthetic and machine like as his Porygon-Z would not so much as hesitate to flinch at the sight of an incoming Pokemon. It's boldness was part of the Pokemon's beauty. Any other Pokemon would surely stumble in the very same scenario. As the beam finished its final load up sequence, Tobias turned to the side, his face looking in the opposite direction.
From his experience with the move he was intelligent enough to know that the beam boasted such incredible power that it was debilitating to look at directly, very much like the sun itself. As he felt the shock waves flow through the air, his clothes rippling with the very presence of the attack, he straightened up his tie as it had become lose from all the chaos. With his adjustment made, Lateralus had finished its onslaught, leaving it okay for Tobias to turn back on the spot. His line of sight investigating the area, the aggressor Pokemon was nowhere to be seen. "My Pokemon's Hyper Beam... Has no weakness." Lifting up his wrist device, he looked at the accumulated battle data and was suitably backed up in his claim. The sheer damage output was unlike anything trainers could ever hope to achieve. Lateralus could very well punch a hole through the Johto national bank without so much as crashing at the overload of power it would require to perform the task in any other situation. Returning the Pokemon to his device for rest, Tobias pocketed it away. "Further field data is required. We'll need to get several more battles recorded to ensure the move is fully operational." Stepping forward without so much a care for the grievously injured Pokemon they had harmed or that there would be any serious threat to them, it appeared there was a undeniable swagger to Tobias' movements.
OOC: Dat Hyper Beam noise tho. Nothing like the classics. It went to crap Gen III onwards.

Passing through the further chaos he had created, Tobias began to tread his smart shoes across the up torn ground. Many trainers would use this area to search for wild Pokemon and train in order to defeat the local Gym Leader, Whitney. But now, a good portion of the tall grass had been uprooted, leaving nothing but deep craters and mounds of earth due to the raging Hyper Beam of Lateralus. Many wild Pokemon had since evacuated into the safety of the trees which bordered the route that led back into Ilex Forest, in order to cower at the power of this human. Many wild Pokemon wanted to test their strength against humans in order to better themselves whilst remaining in the wild. But with how painfully quiet the surroundings were, it was as if all life had stopped. The disintegration of the brave Pidgeotto hadn't helped matters either, causing those who were up for the challenge to scarper as they watched the avians body enter but not leave the beam. Looking around from the safety of Tobias' shoulder, Prometheus was also having trouble picking up on a sign of life. Where did all the wild Pokemon run off to... Bingo?
The search for Pokemon died down for a while, with every step Tobias grew closer, lurking Pokemon were quick to escape unnoticed. Soon enough, his feet led him to an area where a group of trees which weren't affected by the Hyper Beam, stood. A gentle breeze from the near by sea blew in, rustling the leaves. But once again, there were no signs of life. Upon first inspection. As the wind died down, a pair of yellow beady eyes could just barely be seen in between the rustling of leaves, staring directly at Tobias. It was so scared that it didn't dare move, it's saving grace being the fact that it had managed to disguise itself with leaves and twigs. The Pokemon was a Burmy and it had left Ilex Forest temporarily to try and find some fellow brethren who had ran off when the previous blizzard had hit, yet had not returned home. But as soon as it had left the forest, it had been caught off guard by the madness of Hyper Beam and hid in the nearest tree. Trying to remain perfectly still, it flinched as Prometheus met it's eyes. Curious, the monkey stared harder, causing the wild Pokemon to shiver subconsciously. With a manic chimp, the fiery ape pointed a hand forward erratically, alerting Tobias to a Pokemon hiding in the trees.

Having ventured far off the beaten track the route offered, Tobias was beginning to get annoyed at the aimless wandering. "Surely at this point something would have poked its head out. As powerful as the beams were, there is no way they have had such a dramatic impact on the local wildlife." Standing still with his hands tucked in his pockets, he scanned around the area with his single eye. Not so much a movement in the grass. Even Prometheus with his uncanny sense of sight could pick up on anything. Gesturing a bemused shrug, Tobias nodded in understanding before heading off into a small closing of trees. They were particularly grandiose compared to the rest of the trees along the route. In fact, they were a completely different variety. Taking in their characteristics, it was perhaps by luck that he noticed something unusual about the leaves nestled on the tree branches.
Narrowing his eyes with a glare, he noticed what seemed to be beady yellow eyes staring back at him. As slight a difference as it was, it was enough for Tobias to pick up on it. As his companion Pansear noticed the oddity too, he began to alert Tobias to the presence of another. "Prometheus." Tobias called out. Saying no more, the fiery monkey was clued up enough to know what to do next. Having taken into account the location of the eyes, the monkey did what he did best. Beginning his climb up the tree trunk, Prometheus showed off impressive climbing ability. Swinging, grappling and balancing as he ascended ever high, it was long before the trickster Pokemon made it to the branch the Pokemon was hanging from. With a snicker, Prometheus lifted up his hand and clicked his fingers.
As he did, a small burst of flame exploded off in the direction of the Pokemon, causing it to fall from its safety to Tobias below. As it came tumbling down through the branches, Tobias looked it up on his wrist device. Summing up that it wasn't a native to these parts, he sensed it would be for the best to hold off on his field testing of Lateralus' new attack. "A Burmy. Apparently not usually seen around these parts. Well." Retrieving a Pokeball from his jacket, he pointed it forward and aimed at the spot he wanted the Pokemon to appear in front of him. As the light shot forth to the designated entrance area, the unmistakeable silhouette of his Shedinja appeared. "Yin. Shadow Claw and weaken this cretin." Ordered Tobias matter of factly. He had no real use for this Pokemon but it may prove him wrong. Watching as Prometheus took a daring swing from the branch, the ape landed beside him and clambered back up to his usual perch on Tobias' shoulder.

As Prometheus began to hurriedly climb the tree, the wild Burmy began to shudder. It had not realised that it still wore the leaves from Ilex Forest, not blending in will with the tree it was currently sitting in due to it being a different type. Not realising that the human might've picked up on this fact, the Burmy felt it's entire body freeze as the branch it clung so dearly onto began to wobble. The Pansear had found it. Approaching the wild creature with an evil sneer, the fiery monkey did what he did best; summon fire. With a click of it's hands, a burst of flames flickered out of no where, causing the Burmy to jump in surprise, the spring which gripped the tree branch relinquishing it's grip and causing the Pokemon to fall to the ground. Landing with a harsh bump, the larvae creature winced as it lifted itself from a soft cushioning on grass, it's yellow eyes staring nervously up to Tobias as the human gave attention to his watch, only to learn that Burmy would be classed as a rarity in these parts.
The jump scares still weren't finished for the cloak wearing creature as it was then faced with a bright flash of light in the form of Tobias summoning a Pokemon, as well as Prometheus acrobatically leaping down to join in on watching the battle from Tobias' shoulder. Suddenly finding itself overtaken by the emotion of fear, the wild Burmy sensed nothing but evil from this group, particularly the Shedinja who had received an order. Looming forward with an eerie hover, the empty husk summoned some ghostly powers, a monstrous claw of malicious energy forming before it. About to take a slash at the wild Burmy, the Pokemon closed it's eyes tightly, wishing for protection and as if by magic, formed some sort of invisible barrier. With a mighty clash, the apparition of the claw bounced off the barrier and dispersed into nothing.

A somewhat displeased looking flashing over his face, Tobias gritted his teeth, grinding them slightly before looking at the Pokemon they were facing. It was very unusual and it was incredible to think such a Pokemon could foster such impressive defences it could near enough negate an attack. It was just as well Lateralus had taken a back seat on this one. Seeing an insignificant little bug such as that shrugging off such an immense onslaught would have angered him far further. Twitching incessantly at being denied its attack, Yin was clearly working up from his aggravation. His eye flicking back down onto his Pokemon, Tobias made clear his order. "Remember Yin. On my mark. Not a moment sooner or later."
Adjusting his gaze back at the seemingly feeble Bug Pokemon, Tobias considered the protect move carefully. Of course there were such moves dispensed to a number of Pokemon but the real question was, how lucky would a Pokemon have to be to make continued use of it. Surely the act of negating an offensive strike would eat up a fair bit of their stamina. Deciding that it would be silly to waste turns on going on the defensive, Tobias called out with an authoritative clarity to his tone. "Yin. Again. Shadow Claw on the target." Letting out a weird, unsettling chirp, the Shedinja began preparations for its attack. Leaving Tobias on his side of the battle pitch, he mused to himself. "Let's see a miracle protect you now."

Wincing it's eyes open, the Burmy was surprised even within itself that it had managed to create a sort of protective barrier. Whenever it was cornered in the dense forest close by, the creature was able to protect itself until it's opponent would eventually give up. It wasn't really strong so boosting up it's defences were it's only other option and it also meant neither side was harmed. It was hoping that this would be with case with Tobias and he would just move onto a different opponent. Twitching angrily, Yin wanted nothing more than to move in for a second attack but was abruptly put back in it's place by Tobias. Staring at the Shedinja, the wild Burmy continued with it's endless shuddering, uncertain whether or not it could keep up with these protective barriers. Jumping as the human repeated the order, the wild Burmy cast it's yellow eyes onto Yin, who was moving in for the kill.
Trying it's best to set up another barrier of hope to shatter this feeling of despair, the Burmy couldn't quite muster enough strength as a familiar, shadow of a hand lashed forward. Breaking through the not yet complete barrier, Yin unleashed a powerful attack, the ghostly claw tearing into the Burmy painfully, forcing it to the ground. Eyes wide and body twitching, the Burmy had never experienced such excruciating pain. It's life had flashed before it's eyes, the image of Shedinja and it's ruthless shadow claw now burnt into the Pokemon's mind.

Feeling a lot more confident this time around that Yin would actually be able to be of some use, Tobias began to partake in a cigarette that Prometheus had dutifully prepared for him. Holding it between his two fingers and inhaling an impressive dreg, he let the smoke rise from the tip. When Pokemon came out with miraculous surprises such as that, it was stressful work. Having got the Burmy's measure at this point, Tobias could tell that the Pokemon was instinctively hoping for another protect barrier to save its pathetic, squirmy rear end from Yin's attack. The feared look in its eyes proved that every fibre of the Pokemon's being was doing everything it could to load up another successful barrier. However, it was not enough. With Yin conjuring forth another insidious claw like hand from the netherworld, it lashed forward and scored a direct hit.
Unlike before, the Burmy fell to the ground as opposed to withstanding such a deadly strike. Now defenceless and its miraculous protect unable to help it, Tobias inhaled another dreg of his cigarette and blew the excess smoke from out of his nostrils. "This ends here." Retrieving an unused Pokeball from his jacket pocket, he undid the safety lock and enlarged it to standard size. Without so much aiming his throw, he tossed the Pokeball forward in a bid to seize the exotic, wild Pokemon. Twitching incessantly still, it was clear Yin felt very differently about the inclusion of this Bug Pokemon into Tobias' team. It's devious mind scheming away, it realised there was no point in risking the ire of Tobias' wrath by outright destroying the Pokemon here. Instead, it'd welcome the Burmy into their fold. Letting it drop its defences bit by bit... And then... Snickering to itself, the thought of its conclusion on the matter amused the ghostly husk excitedly.

Route 34 | It wasn't hard to see that the Burmy was outright exhausted. Maybe it should have used a move. Right? Well, thanks to Shedinja, that hadn't been exactly possible. Most bug types were very aware of others, and though Shedinja were normally very illusive creatures, Wonder Guard was a well known ability among them. Sighing, the Burmy continued to lay there. It tried to throw up another protect, expecting another attack to finish it off, the barrier began to form and then immediately broke upon a piece of it coming together. The Pokemon was far too tired.
That was when Tobias did something that it hadn't expected. He brought out a round sphere, one the Burmy had seen trainers around here use before. And suddenly, it was sailing through the air. Up,up,up, and then down upon it. The Burmy felt it hit its hide and then finally it felt a warm light, being sucked into the ball along with it. The ball dropped to the ground, wiggling, wiggling, wiggling, until it finally clicked close, proving to be effective against the weak Burmy. It now belonged to Tobias.

As the Pokeball sounded off with the sound of a successful capture, Tobias finished his cigarette. Letting the smoke slowly distil from his pursed lips. He flicked the butt off into the area around him without so much a care to put it out. With how windy the weather was, it was of little consequence. "Prometheus." He commanded solemnly. Letting out a small chirp of acknowledgement, the monkey clambered down and went to retrieve the Pokeball. "Yin, return." He stated with a pure lack of emotion to his voice. His Shedinja had demonstrated some exemplary fighting ability in being able to break through the protective barrier but Tobias cared little. This had been nothing more than a little detour.
As Prometheus clambered back up and presented the Pokeball back to Tobias, he examined it slightly before pocketing it. "I believe a shake up is in order." Pulling out his wrist device, he tapped at the screen as he used the interface to swap the Pokemon on him. With the wonders of modern technology, Yin and Charon were transported back to his T-Network as he left the Burmy in his party and bought forward Asmodeus. Pulling up his sleeve to cover the custom C-Gear, he looked around the forest closing he had entered. Aside from that Burmy, it was just as desolate as the rest of the plains he had adventured. "Time to get back on track. We need to continue with our field testing of Lateralus' move. But where are the test subjects?" Raising an eyebrow, he looked once more up at the tree. This time, no beady little eyes could be seen looking back. Sighing, he turned around and ventured back to the beaten track.

OOC: You are so lucky you do know that right? Also I agree the Hyper Beam sound went to crap after Gen II. IC: Seviper had just finished a meal of a half decayed Abra when it heard the sounds of what could only be a terrifying battle in the distance. The battle sounded like it was far off but Seviper did not mind traveling long distances for a good battle. The snake had not had a good fight in a long time and it was really hoping to find a trainer of Pokemon that could give it a challenge. As the venomous snake slowly traveled towards the sounds of all hell breaking loose it kept thinking to itself that this had to be the fight it had been looking for. As Seviper got closer it noticed smoke rising from the results of battles in the area and was assured at this point that it would be an entertaining battle. Seviper stuck out it's forked tongue sniffing around for the fight it was so desperately wanting to get itself into. The snake may not have had the best of eyes but the smell of burnt Pidgeotto was a dead giveaway that whatever had been fighting knew Hyper Beam. Seviper then looked around trying to find the Hyper Beam spamming maniac causing untold levels of destruction. The snake was just about to give up when it caught the unmistakable scent of a human nearby. The snake slithered over towards Joey trying to find the best method of approach to give it the best chance of a first strike. Seviper looked all over but there did not seem to be any good path to take and such a large snake would surely be noticed before long. Realizing there was no other option the snake started to slither head on right into Tobias and his army of destruction. A Level 20 Seviper Appeared. Please select a Pokemon for Battle.

Walking along at his usual pace, Tobias kept his eye darting from corner to corner of his vision in the hope of spotting a Pokemon of the wild. Having returned near enough to the route he had been exploring on for test subjects, he was a trifle bit annoyed that everything had scattered off. "Note to self: Ensure Hyper Beam is used in a subtle manner." Knowing it would likely be an exercise in futility, it was clear that the sheer amount of chaos it had wrecked was likely the cause of so little Pokemon about. Standing there as he began to prepare a smoke to light, it was when Prometheus declined actually lighting the cigarette that Tobias knew something was up. Leaving the unlit cigarette in his mouth still, he twisted his head slightly to see what the ape was up to.
As observant as ever, it appeared the fiery monkey had detected the presence of a Pokemon in the nearby vicinity. A powerful one at that. The Pansear's eyes focused directly on a large bush off centre from them, Tobias let the cigarette dangle in his ajar mouth slightly. With the environment falling deadly silent, it was as if any kind of Pokemon could come flying out at a moment's notice. His hand falling into his jacket, he secured a Pokeball in order to defend him. As the silence dragged on agonisingly, he steadied the slipping cigarette in his mouth as he leered his eye. As if mind reading the opponent, Tobias launched his Pokeball forward with gusto and yelled out. "NOW! Lateralus! Boot up in offence mode, execute!" As the Pokeball span forward rapidly, the Pokemon that had lie in wait for them made itself known.
Slithering forward at an incredible rate, it was a large, black monstrosity. As his summoned Pokemon materialised on the field and allowed a safety barrier between it and the would be aggressor, Tobias managed to get a good look at the enemy. "Hmph. A Seviper. Carnivorous monsters." Knowing he may have very well ended up on the Pokemon's lunch menu, he stood up and straightened his tie whilst Prometheus attended to his cigarette with a flick of his fingers in order to ignite. Taking a lengthy inhale, he exhumed the smoke from his nostrils and calmly took lead of the situation. "Lateralus. HB inhibitors unlocked. Hyper Beam module, execute. On my mark..." As he started up the attack, Tobias finished his next words with some apparent relish. "Hyper Beam cannon... FIRE...?" However, despite his clear order, it appeared that would not be the case today. "Hm?!" He glared at the Porygon-Z. Unsure on what exactly was going on, he could tell immediately from the way his Pokemon was attack he was launching the Ice Beam offensive module. "It would appear there are still some quirks in the machine."
Pulling out his c-gear on his wrist, he immediately began accessing the Pokemon's coding in real time in order to phase out the bug that had caused Ice Beam to have been used instead. His cocksure arrogance said it all in the fact he didn't think twice about what the Seviper would do in the next round. As far as he was concerned, Ice Beam was still a powerful attack to contend with.
OOC: I noticed Joey in the modded post there. This is Tobias so you're aware.
As for the use of the move in the next round, Tobias has stated Hyper Beam but i'm hamming it up that his coding is still unstable so Lateralus will actually use Ice Beam instead.

Slithering it's way out of the tall grass, the Seviper glared to Tobias and his team with crimson red eyes. Hissing with it's tongue, the carnivorous creature turned it's heavy gaze from Tobias and focused on the monkey which sat upon it's shoulder. Almost bearing a murderous smile, the serpent parted it's jaws and released a menacing cry. Coiling its body, the wild creature was going to attempt an energetic jump in order to pounce on Prometheus and drag him to the ground but something else stood in it's way. Becoming a bit more focused, the Seviper examined the Porygon-Z carefully, it's nostrils twitching. This thing didn't make a worthy enough snack but maybe it would be a good toothpick for the Abra parts it had earlier devoured. Opening it's jaws and moving in for a powerful bite, Lateralus recoiled back, ignoring Tobias' order and summoning it's own. A powerful beam of ice struck through the cool air, crackling as it tore it's way towards the target.
Already in motion, the slippery Seviper was unable to dodge. Being hit face first with the beam, it hissed angrily as it was knocked off course, crashing to the ground in a knotted bundle. Wearily lifting itself back up, the damage the attack had done was clear, it's body looming back and forth as if struggling for breath. With a sudden shake, the serpent shook off numerous icicle shards which had clung onto it's body and glared once again at Lateralus. An odd yet powerful opponent, it seemed the Seviper was going to be in for an entertaining fight after all, to also test it's own strength. Pushing it's head forward and screeching loudly, on the outside the Porygon-Z wasn't affected at all but maybe on Tobias' information screen, he could see that two of it's defence modules had been temporarily disabled.

Racking his brains still as to why Lateralus had unleashed the wrong move, he pondered if there was an issue in the voice recognition software. His mind entirely affixed to the coding of his Pokemon, he paid no attention to the battle itself and what exactly was unfolding. Scrolling through line after line of code, he narrowed his eyes with some annoyance. Everything looked to be correct. "Hmph. This will require further scrutiny." Looking up, he was unaware of what happened. Prometheus however, had witnessed the entire affair. Motioning energetically, Prometheus began waiving his arms around as if to pretend he was an avian like creature hinting to be that of the Porygon-Z and then pointed both of his hands forward as he tried to emulate the ice beam itself hitting as he suddenly began wriggling from side to side as if he was the Seviper. With this impromptu summarisation and his own observation of how the Seviper was acting in the battle, it was clear that the Pokemon had been dealt a bad hand in this round.
Watching its tongue hiss evilly, Tobias shook his head and realised that Prometheus had not motioned any further. "Hm? It's not counter attacked?" He asked, provoking a quick shake of his Pansear's head. Turning his head back just as the serpent began to writhe about to shake off all the icy blocks that had adorned itself to it, Tobias glared his eye as he realised Lateralus was open for attack. Readying for the worst, Tobias was taken off guard as the Pokemon opponent went for a debilitating move as opposed to an offensive one. Letting out an ear piercing shriek, the screeching disturbance had both Tobias and Prometheus cower slightly as they scuppered to cover their ears from any real permanent damage. As the Seviper ran out of steam, the criminal looked up vengefully and gritted his teeth, ears still wringing loudly from the torture. "Grrrah... What a disdainful move. And it's had a severe impact on Lateralus." Looking at his wrist device, he glared at the drop in defensive capability. The voice recognition had likely been overloaded. "But that means..." Realising he had been forced into a corner, he looked over to Lateralus and yelled out an order.
"Lateralus! Boot up retreat behaviours and return." Staying perfectly still, it was as if the Pokemon was unable to hear his order. "EXECUTE!" Raising his voice ever louder, he had hoped it would force the Pokemon to do something. Sadly. Nothing would. Realising his Pokemon had been incapacitated for the time being, he would had to rely on other resources to wrap this up. By his estimates, the Seviper was sorely beaten and didn't have much fight left in it. The only option to secure victory was attempting a capture. He didn't require a Pokemon of this nature but he could at least profiteer from it. Having enough capture devices at the ready, it was the only way forward. There just lied one problem. He'd be defenceless as his Porygon-Z was incapable of proceeding any further in the battle. Without so much a thought, he ripped a Pokeball from inside of his jacket and enlarged the spherical contraption. Tossing it forward, he had no real preference as to whom would act as defence. All he cared about was that he wouldn't end up on the Pokemon's lunch menu. Bursting forward from the Pokeball was none other than the gliding menace, Striker.
Hovering mid-air, the Pokemon cackled to itself as it rhythmically swayed its stinger back and forth. The Pokemon was borderline insane from having snapped mentally and it was clear it had been aching for the glory of battle. A deranged being such as that only had one goal in mind and that was to cause as much pain to others as possible. "Striker. You are in defence. Now." Grabbing out a spare Ultraball from his jacket, he knew this would be the device fit for the job. "A Pokemon as rare and tough as you... A mere Pokeball won't suffice." Leaning backwards, he took aim at the Seviper and tossed forward the capturing tool in the hopes of securing an end to the ambush.
Item used:
x1 Ultraball (Auto-updated).
OOC: Swapped out Lateralus for Striker and used x1 Ultraball to capture.

Given the current malfunctioning machine, it was probably for the best that Striker was switched out to tangle with the snake. Striker was in much better condition compared to the Seviper, but even as the snake writhed in pain from the most recent attack, a spark of hope lit it's eyes. Something closer to it's own level had been switched in. The tides of battle could change for the Seviper's favor, depending on how it played it's cards. The trainer and Pokemon seemed to dislike it's Screech, but even then, it wouldn't get Striker on the ground where it belonged. More... offensive strategies needed to be utilized in order to turn the tides of battle. The look it gleaned from the Gligar's eyes though... A blazing fire, matching it's own, which could only be fed with successful battles, and battered opponents. This would be no easy match. Hissing angrily, the Seviper picked itself up off the ground, bladed tail beginning to ooze and coat itself with a purple film. Dark enough to mask with it's black scales, it could be a nice hidden addition to a secretive set. But, before the Seviper could react or even attempt to put Striker out of it's misery, having to tag along with Tobias, a pokeball was soaring towards it. The Wild Pokemon of the area were familiar with the contraptions, but the colors were different. As the sphere inched closer, Seviper's eyes widened with a sudden, ominous understanding. A shiver rippled through it's body, and a bit of the poison dripped from it's tail before it was nose to nose with the Ultra Ball. It plunked against it's nose, and a second later it was engulfed in red light. The only chance it had was to fight against the contraption. Once, Twice, Thrice, and... Congratulations! Seviper has been captured! Please fill out the information below: Lateralus has gained +1000 EXP! (1549/2107) Burmy has gained +1 Level!
