Sensing the Pokemon's adverse wrath firing up as it began to make threat of its bladed tail, Tobias could clearly not care any less. With the Ultraball in play and his Pokemon successfully guarding him, even if the serpentine beast did managed to break free, the Gligar would clearly shield nicely against any such offensive. " Worthless." He concluded with a disparaging glare from his only eye. Chuckling gleefully as the Ultraball dabbed the Pokemon on its nose, Prometheus leaned forward and nodded with every slight wobble of the contraption. He had been so used to seeing Tobias use Pokeballs that he was fascinated by the colour of the Ultraball. As it continued to process the capture, Tobias looked down to his monitor on his c-gear and appeared stumped still. Whatever was affecting the Porygon-Z of his was a clearly bizarre quirk and it was not something he could fully fix standing out here in the open. From the looks of things, the first thing he'd be doing once he reconvenes with the Rocket HQ would be fixing his creation. Shaving his overgrown, wild beard off be damned. Losing himself in his thoughts, he was alerted to the successful capture of the wild snake. " Another one bites the dust." Turning his head askance slightly to Prometheus, he nodded with confirmation he wanted the Pokemon retrieved. Happily leaping off, Prometheus scuppered off to retrieve the Pokeball that had fallen into the long grass. Turning his gaze to the rest of the Pokemon he had on field, he could tell some experience had been learnt from the encounter. Lateralus, literally so as his device had notified him on the display screen. Striker on the other hand was now looking far for ferocious in the way he clashed his pincers together. And then, last but not least was the abysmally cowardly Burmy he had taken on board. Returning them all in quick succession, he looked to the sky and noted the sun was setting. " Hmph. Morning, noon or night. The world doesn't sleep completely. We shall continue our search for more Pokemon. Hopefully nocturnal ones lie in wait. Further data must be secured." Walking off, Prometheus panicked slightly as he saw Tobias move on. Finally grabbing the Ultraball having played with it so intently, he chased on after his trainer and to see what their next encounter would entail. OOC: You can imagine the surprise on my face when I saw you had replied to this. And then I saw the green name. Congrats on the promotion!
Just two things to keep in mind. Currently, we're going by Gen V's Pokedex as Gen VI is a little further off implementation. Secondly, as Striker was the last one on the pitch, the usual experience system kicks in. So with there being a level difference greater than 0, he'd get 3 levels and one from lucky egg.
As it's the Gen V moveset, i've taken on board fury cutter and redone the Seviper moveset. Nice work though, you still got it. Continuing the path, Tobias found himself facing a Raticate that dramatically scooted itself to a halt when it saw Tobias's face and his destroyer machine. This Raticate had seen it all in the grass. Its face spelled "terrified" when it witnessed Laterus's Hyper Beam-ing action. It had to frantically run and conceal itself, just as the other Pokemon who witnessed the Hyper Beam, when the ground was scorched to the crater. Now that it was accidentally bumping into the man itself, the rat was horrified to move. It was petrified. At first it squeaked in horror, but its hind legs won't move! Then, after some time had passed staring awkwardly and astonishingly at the trainer, the Raticate put its fore legs down and clicked its teeth in protest. Since running away wan't its option now, it might as well use its adrenaline to use, like revenging the disaster of its lost home.
A freaked out (Level 17) Raticate appeared! It wants to break Laterus.

Stopping still as another challenger came to light, Tobias examined the familiar sight of a mangy rodent. Taking in the sight of its oversized fangs and worm like tail, he adjusted his tie with a small tighten as he cleared his throat and thought carefully on how best to proceed. "Whilst i'd like to use Lateralus, I will need just a bit more time to put him back into action." Looking at the notable shake to the Pokemon's demeanour, Tobias could catch a hint of fear as the Pokemon beheld Tobias. Realising that the destruction that had been wrecked must have instilled enough fright to scare the living daylights out of the Pokemon, he leant forward slightly to mock the wild Pokemon's fears. "Hmph. Too afraid to run away like the little vermin you are? Don't worry. I won't subjugate you to a full on Hyper Beam. Oh no. I have something far worse." Having gained some respect for Striker in the previous battles, the thought of putting the insane menace's skills to use were most viable at this point in time.
Taking out a Pokeball, he made aware the Raticate's situation. "You can run. But from the way you remain rooted to the ground, I shall accept that as you pass up on the offer." Chucking the Pokeball forward, it revealed Striker the Gligar, who floated before both of them and laughed with a flat out insane chuckle. Pincing his claws back and forth, the Pokemon could hardly believe its luck. It had been tucked away into a PC and had near enough rotted away from the boredom and all of a sudden he was plucked away into the command of this taskmaster. "Ooooooooh what a thrill~! My foe may be a scaredy rat but i'll make mincemeat of it all the same! Eheheheheheh! Say your prayers, ratty-boy!" Noting his Pokemon's enthusiasm, Tobias made apparent his order. "Striker. Bulldoze. Don't hold back." Chuckling with a little more restraint, Prometheus remained on Tobias shoulder and as he usually did, acted as a spectator to the unfolding fight. All the monkey really needed at this point was a bowl of popcorn and it was set.

The mere thought of such a battle with this monstrosity of a trainer and his intense arsenal of Pokemon terrified the Raticate beyond belief. These anxious feelings only seemed to fuel the trainer, as well as his deranged scorpion, so the rat did it's best to keep things in check. Instead, it tried to use it's nervous energy to channel towards something a bit more productive, such as actually surviving the first hit as the Gligar began it's onslaught. Teeth chattering nervously, the Raticate's tail swished from side to side in an anxious manner, as if it were preparing and enduring itself for the hit to come. The bloodthirsty Gligar slammed it's tail against the ground, and watched with glee as the earth in front of the scorpion seemed to churn like an earthy ocean in front of him. Raticate couldn't handle the movement, eventually becoming yet another rock or object caught within the Bulldoze. The moment the earth regained composure, fear exploded within the Raticate as it trembled with it. Adrenaline began to kick in as it's body registered the pain. Eyes wild with fear and rage, the Raticate bounded forward, sinking it's teeth into the aggressor with malice and surprise. It had managed to hit, which seemed a miracle in itself. Letting go after the Hyper Fang attack, the Raticate let itself fall to the ground, only to scurry back to it's side of the battlefield, amidst the rubble and carnage the Bulldoze had created. It would only take another one of those earth shattering attacks to knock the Raticate out for good, right? This battle would be finished before Raticate could even do anything about it, right?! It began to panic, it's heart beating faster than it should have. It's breath came out in ragged gasps, and it's chest heaved with the anxiety. At this point, it was probably best to put the poor, terrified creature out of his misery. Or give it a hug. Without claws, Striker. Wild Raticate - Level |17| Health: 25/50 Current Status: *breathing intensifies* -1 Speed Successful Hyper Fang

Hoping for a further demonstration of Striker's strength, Tobias folded his arms and watched intently, his stern gaze monitoring with a steely scrutiny. "Prometheus?" Questioned Tobias as he pulled a cigarette from out of his packet. Looking down into the case, he had a somewhat sullen expression as he realised he was dwindling in his reserves. "Hmph. We may be cut short..." Mumbled the chain smoker as he wrestled the unlit cigarette in his mouth and motioned it off to the side closer for Prometheus to ignite. A quick flick of his fingers and it wasn't long before Tobias was contented with inhaling the smell of smoke and nicotine. Raising a hand to grasp the cigarette between his fingers, he held it in place as he inhaled a dreg. Seeing the Raticate cower before his choice of Pokemon was a comforting assertion that the same would be true for others. Leading off the bat quickly and efficiently, it appeared Striker would make use of his stinger as he slammed it into the ground and cause a sea like wave of ground to go flying forwards and launch an offensive on the vermin.
Despite the waves of earth summoned, the Pokemon they faced appeared to summon enough courage to lash out and bite down on Striker. "That TICKLES~! Off little rat, OFF! Off before I OFF you~! Eheheheheheh!" Struggling with the Pokemon's bite, it eventually fell off as Striker recomposed himself. Gliding effortlessly as it remained on the spot, it leered its eyes as it's devious grin spread further over its face. "What's the matter ratty-boy?! Lookin' a little tuckered out! All slowed down. Don't let your lil' heart give way now! We've only just started." Finished Striker as he started off in a playful enough manner but end with a deadly serious tone of voice. As the Pokemon made its taunt, Tobias cut in after exhaling a hefty cloud of smoke from his mouth. "Striker. Keep up the offensive. Quick Attack." The Bulldoze was likely Striker's most powerful move in his arsenal but Tobias felt it best to focus on other aspect's of the Gligar's ability. Snickering with a malicious cackle, Striker pinched both of his pincers together as he raised them up in front of him menacingly to the wild animal. "Heheheheheheh~!! Awwww poor rat-boy. All slowed down and here's me all sped up. Blink and you miss'll me! One... Two... Three... GO!" Disappearing from the spot, Striker appeared to be passing this off as some sort of a game. A deadly mixture with a mind so unbalanced.
OOC: Not sure if you missed out on it but Bulldoze always causes -1 Speed to the enemy.

This wicked game was one that Raticate did not want to participate in. It's taunt had done it's job for sure, leaving the poor critter in such a state of disarray the only think it could honestly focus on was attempting to keep itself from passing out due to hyperventilation. A nervous, jittery creature, this Raticate was. However, pair it with the psycopathic Striker and you got two very messed up cases of something. Raticate knew that it was done for as soon as the scorpion struck his tail on the ground... But, instead, it's trainer had given it another attack instead! Perhaps hope wasn't lost! If it was something like a physical attack, Raticate could do it's best to dodge. After all, it was great at running away from things. Striker clipped his claws together in his intimidating and psychotic fashion before darting forward, gliding with claws extended. Raticate tightened it's muscles and prepared to jump to the side and dodge. Sure, the Gligar was quick, but so was Raticate. You became good at these things, especially when you were born a Rattata. However, when Raticate went to dodge, it found itself slowed down by the rubble scattered about by the Pokemon's Bulldoze. What could have been a successful dodge was hindered by the scorpion, who got, yet again, another hit. Adrenaline surged through Raticate's body as it lashed out once more, biting Striker on the tail as the scorpion turned around. The Gligar was held there for a moment as Raticate's jaw locked out of fear, before it released it's mouth and victim. Although it felt good about itself getting a nice hit on the enemy, it shivered with fear to know that retaliation from the Gligar would not be far behind. Nervously, it jittered and clicked it's teeth before watching Tobias with fearful eyes. He could stop this, but he refused. Why? Why?! All for the games the humans played, too. Not showing the slightest hint of worry or concern for the wild Pokemon, Tobias remained still in his place as he continued to exhume smoke from his cigarette. Letting it balance on his lips, he placed his hands in his pocket as the weather was starting to get fairly nippy now that the sun had set and night was upon them. As the Pokemon and Tobias locked eyes, he remained unforgiving in his expression. Humans may have been a random bunch but the majority shared a trait among them of pity and decency. Sadly, Tobias was devoid of such qualities. With the moon now rising in the sky, the moonlit rays appeared further Striker's lunacy as he relished how the battle was going. "Hahahahahahahaha! You're going to keel over and die on you're own you little vermin rat. Perhaps i'll give you this turn to get another free hit in. Ohohohohoho~!"
Flashing his deadly pincers and thrusting his stinger back and forth, there was no end to the Pokemon's over-abundance of energy. Taking the cigarette that had been sitting on his lips, Tobias held it between his fingers and decided on the next move. "We'll end this here. Striker. Stop playing with your food and create another Bulldoze. Bury this weakling." Evilly turning from Tobias to the Raticate, Striker's face took on a frightening expression as his grin stretched from ear to ear. "With pleasure. Too bad ratty boy, I much preferred my idea of letting you pass out on your own but looks like you'll need a little... HELP!" Finishing his sentence with an emphasis, the Pokemon geared up ready to attack once more.

The pleaful gazes Raticate had sent out were poorly received. Of course, with such a Pokemon as Striker, the trainer had to be as souless and callous to put up with the ravenous creature. Raticate prepared itself for it's demise. Sure, it'd wake up eventually, but who really enjoyed pain? It's fur twitched nervously as it flipped it's tail back and forth. If for some reason the Gligar missed, it would have a shot and running away, or at least getting in another attack. However, the grim understanding was that if it managed to hit Raticate on point, this battle would be over. Striker was, as usual, intimidating. Raticate wasn't as familiar with the human words as the trained Pokemon was, but it remembered the sounds coming from the trainer's mouth right before the mini-earthquake. So, when it heard them again, even if it didn't know what it meant, Raticate practically sagged in place. It's doom and demise was here. Instead of attempting to fight it, Raticate sighed and curled up, mentally and physically exhausted from Striker's game. After the scorpion's tail hit the ground, Raticate blacked out without so much as another fighting glance. Wild Raticate - Level |17| Health: 0/50 Current Status: At least... Noting as Striker's unintelligible quips hounded the wild rat and appeared to deflate the Pokemon's ego, it became apparent to the eye patched criminal that there were two types of enforcer in this world to carry out his wishes. He had his dependable, tried and tested Flak, who wasn't the sharpest knife in the drawer, had incredible physical might to make up for his short comings. His limited brain capacity also meant he could order near enough anything without having to worry about a reprisal or mutiny because he disagreed with the trainer's actions. But then there were some like Striker. He may not have been overtly powerful in his strength but the Pokemon's method of war appeared to be waged on the mental front, constantly goading and belittling the opponent with the odd attack to keep them off balance. Perhaps the main juxtaposition between the two was that Striker had a brain. He was clearly a being of cunning and smarts but it was useful that the Pokemon was so devoid of any shred of morale decency that he wouldn't question Tobias' orders and instead follow them through with relish. Despite the differences, they were both very effective tools for him to make use of. As the bulldoze went flying forward and knocked the Raticate out into a wave of unconsciousness, Tobias inhaled the final dreg from his cigarette before holding it out in his hand. To truly test Striker's moral fibre, he wanted to see if he would torture the fainted Pokemon.
Watching as the Pokemon gloated over the fainted Raticate, prancing to and fro at the side whilst mocking the opponent, he called out commanding his attention. "Striker." His ears piqued at being referred to, the Gligar leapt up into the air with a small flap of his wings and turned to face Tobias. "Mmmmmmmmmmmyes? What is it oh benevolent eye patched one~? Don't tell me you're through with this Raticate just yet?" Not understanding his language, Tobias ignored his incoherent babble and pushed his cigarette butt forward. "Take this. And stab the butt into the Raticate several times. We must remind others not to trifle with my endeavours." Snickering with an evil leer, Striker appeared keen on the idea. Flapping his wings again and performing a loop de loop before floating over to Tobias, the Pokemon pinched his pincers and grabbed the still lit end. Gliding down to where the Raticate lay unconscious, Striker snickered as he decided where best to aim.
"Hehehehehehehehehe~ I don't think even your mother could love you when i'm through. That is, if she's still even alive. Probably exterminated like the vermin you are. HAH~!!" Stabbing his clenched pincer forward, the Pokemon began jabbing the lit cigarette into the Pokemon's body. Searing the Pokemon's fur and skin, Tobias looked away as he noted how dark the night was. "A night as dark as this... So familiar of the one so many moons ago." His reference was of course to none other than the defining moment of his life. The rebellious act of breaking out of Lacunosa's walls and putting to rest the childish fairy tales of a monster in the woods. Oh how wrong he was. Content the weather was at least warm enough, he decided to follow an ode to his childhood and would stay up longer, venturing through the route. After all, he had Pokemon under his command to protect him this time around.
"Striker. Enough. We'll see if this path has anything else to offer us." Resuming his exploration, he walked past Striker and the tortured Raticate, Prometheus pulling a face at the now mutilated rat, leaving Striker to jab in one last strike of the cigarette before giving a deft kick to the Pokemon's rib area. "Adieu my ratty boy. Good luck with the burns, eheheheheheh~!!"

Striker's loyalties, wherever they may lie, seemed to cross the path with Tobias. The rude and cruel gesture to the Raticate as it lay slumbering was enough proof that the scorpion was demented enough to carry out such a task, and demeted enough to stay with Tobias, where he'd grow stronger. The night was dark, and full of terrors. Striker would be whispered as one of them. One of their own fallen comrades had fallen victim and prey, and with the setting of the sun, a cold chill swept the route. Not many Pokemon stirred, for fear of the smoking man and his earth-shattering scorpion.
However, there were some tides of justice, however foolish they were. Filled with a sense of duty and honor, those Pokemon would make themselves known eventually. For the moment, the route was still as the Pokemon and his trainer walked. With a quick motion, an item was switched to Striker that would quite possibly change the scorpions life. With great power though, came great responsibility. Angry snorts could be heard along the route as the herd of Ponyta that frequented the grassy areas slowed down for the night. They knew what had happened to the poor Raticate, and one or two of them had something to say about it.
One such horse stepped forward, stopping the duo (technically trio) in their path. It drug it's hoof across the ground angrily, it's hide battered and scarred with the trials of battle. It seemed strong, and well rounded enough to conciously take on the demented purple fiend. As in, it refused to take it's eyes off of Striker. Fire and smoke snorted from it's snout before it lowered it's head, as if challenging the scorpion itself. In the darkness, it's mane and tail crackled with emotion. Justice would be served on this night. It eyed Striker and prepared for battle. It wouldn't take no for an answer. Wild Ponyta (Level 19) has appeared!

Continuing their midnight walk, or glide as they case may have been for Striker, they noticed that there appeared to be a fraction more life in the night then there had been during the day. Perhaps the limited memories of the Pokemon had meant they had forgotten already the destruction he had wrought with his artificial, man made Pokemon. Stopping in his tracks, Tobias wished to take a moment to recover from his fatigue. A whole day of journeying tacked on to just emerging from the myriad forest that was Ilex was surely enough to submit defeat on most mere mortals. But Tobias hungered for results. "Hmph. At this rate, we'll have to delve into the slum areas of Goldenrod to even find something remotely a challenge. In the times I had been escorted to the base at Team Rocket, I had been made to be under the impression there was actually some semblance of challenge here. All I can see our worthless Pokemon barely even worth capturing. If it wasn't for foolish trainers and their desire for these pushovers, we'd be surely out of business." Having ranted somewhat out loud, not in particular to Prometheus or Striker, the Pokemon nodded as if yes man to a rampaging boss.
It was only when it became apparent that another was amongst them that Tobias had a semblance of interest on his face. Further along the route appeared to be what can only be described as indignant snorts approaching ever closer to them. "And what do we have here?" Mused the toneless male. It wasn't long before a very much valiant looking Ponyta breached their path and prevented any further progress. A fact which irked Tobias' mood. What was most shocking about this was how adamant the Ponyta appeared to be in focusing on not Tobias but his Pokemon, Striker. "Oh? Is there some sort of grudge?" Murmured Tobias as he realised the sense of connection there. Cackling despondently, Gligar lowered himself down and played distant. Shooing away the Ponyta's gaze with a flick of his pincer. "My, my, my. It appears that a friend of ol' ratty boy is looking for some brand of justice being dished out. How very... Droll. Hehehehehehehe~!!" As vicious as Striker was, he didn't seem particularly interested in engaging with the fire horse. Despite it's insistence it would exact revenge on the flying scorpion, it was clear Striker was all too clear of this and would be ***** enough to deny the Pokemon any slither of satisfaction.
"I'm tired~ Spent all last battle beating the seven shades of poop out of that little ratty-twerp and I honestly cannot be doing with you avenging types." Pulling a sadistic grin, he relished in the fact he would flat out deny the Ponyta. "You'd best runny run run as fast as your little hooves can carry you if you know what's good for you, ahahahahaha~!!" Noting his Pokemon chatter away at the Ponyta, resulting in an aggressive retort of snorts and neighs to his Pokemon, Tobias was somewhat unsure of as to why his Pokemon was not rising to the challenge. It was of little matter. He had given his other Pokemon some rest and it was now time to gather more field data. "Lateralus." Taking out his Pokeball and tossing it forward, he began setting up the Pokemon that would spell doom to this warrior of justice. A character such as that would have no place in Tobias' fold. "Lateralus; initiate attack mode." As if following a well rehearsed script, Tobias followed through the command list for his Pokemon, all the while recording the data on his c-gear. "Lateralus; initiate target locking protocols. Target: Ponyta." Getting ever nearer to his actual command, a round of sniggers could be heard from both Prometheus and Striker who both knew full well what was going to come next.
"HB inhibitors unlocked. Hyper Beam module, execute. On my mark..." Letting out a final taunt, Striker paid his farewells. "Revenge isn't on the menu today silly horse. Not in this lifetime at least! Eheheheheh~!!" Now ready to follow through having loaded the various modules Tobias spoke out with great authority in his voice. "Hyper Beam cannon... FIRE." Floating before them, the virtual Pokemon began acted strangely but there was no doubt this time around it would be proceeding with an actual Hyper Beam. Summoning up the vast amount of energy required for the attack, both Prometheus and Striker watched intently at the outcome.

The wild Ponyta stood ready for battle as Tobias called out his virtual Pokemon of chaos. Ponyta though it was a rather silly looking Pokemon that could never beat it in a fair contest. Ponyta was filled with pride as it stood for justice. It truly wanted to avenge Raticate and put a stop to this madmans march that at this point made Sherman's march to the sea seem merciful by comparison. The fiery equine Pokemon planned to win this battle no matter what. It could not fail as if it did the entire area would likely become a wasteland and the poor Pokemon in the area would have no home. As determined as Ponyta was the name of the attack Tobias had chosen left a brown pile behind Ponyta. The unfortunate Pokemon had literally shit itself in fear of the dreaded Hyper Beam of doom. Ponyta knew this was going to be a bad day unless a miracle happened. As Lateralus readied itself for the attack Ponyta stood there frozen in fear. There was no way in hell it could beat a Pokemon with such a powerful attack. As brave as Ponyta tried to seem it could only watch as the strange looking Pokemon in front of it started piling a huge amount of energy. As Lateralus gained enough energy it unleashed a devastating beam towards to now cowardly fire type. Ponyta somehow grew enough strength to turn around and start to run away but it was pointless. Hyper Beam scored a direct hit and vaporized Ponyta. Outside of a pool of blood and the pile of crap from earlier there were no remains. Lateralus had decimated it's target with Hyper Beam. A few neighs could be heard in the distance as if Ponyta's friends could tell what had happened. To say the least it was not a pretty sight and other Pokemon would likely try to avenge Ponyta. Wild Pokemon Battle
Ponyta: | Level 19| Health: 0% (0/53 HP) Status: Vaporized Vaporized
Tobias'es Lateralus: | Level 27 | Health: 100% (91/91 HP) Status:Normal Target Eliminated!
Lateralus fought well and gained 950 exp. It now has 1292/2269 exp required to level up. It also gained +1 happiness and now has 14 happiness overall. Burmy gained 1 level thanks to exp share and he is now level 20. Burmy Learned Hidden Power (Fire Type 60 Base Power). Burmy is trying to evolve into Mothim. Would you like to stop the evolution?
Ooc: That was just overkill. Hyper Beam could do 152-180 HP damage and Ponyta only has 53. Vaporized is an understatement.

With his side Pokemon howling in laughter and snickering at the unfortunate fate of the Ponyta, Tobias remained emotionless as he stood there with cold, almost cruel scrutinising calculatedness. Staring at his C-Gear on his wrist as it compiled data in real time and flicking his eye up to the action before him, he turned his head slightly away as the powerful beam of energy fired towards its target. His suit ruffling with the sheer propulsion of the beam, his tie fell out of place and flapped over the side of his shoulder. The beam had forced many of the previous test subjects far away from the area with the sheer impact but this time around, it took on a rather unusual property. Examining the analytic on his screen, it appeared the Ponyta simply ceased to be. As the beam died down and it became safe to view the area, Tobias turned on the spot, slightly adjusting his tie back onto a neater position. As he scanned the horizon in front of him for any sign of their opponent, he noted that the Pokemon had been quite simply vaporised. He had never heard of the move being able to achieve such devastation but it was a welcomed effect. Saving the field data onto his wrist device, he shuffled his sleeve over the technology and placed his hands in his pockets suavely. Only Striker's jester like cackles and rabble could be heard as he hopped from foot to foot, back and forth. " The Ponyta is dead~ The Ponyta is dead~ The Ponyta is deeeeaaaaaaaaddddddd. EheheheheheheHEHEHEHEH~!! Spared me the trouble!" Clearly grateful for having denied the Pokemon a chance at revenge, Tobias ignored the Pokemon's tomfoolery and let out a sigh as his breath became visible with the cold, night sky. " Considering the unexpected development of Hyper Beam, it's time we find more test subjects. I want to ascertain if that was a glitch." Stepping forward, he stopped almost immediately as he started. A sudden burst of his Pokeball, one of the many devices fell to the floor and burst open with a wondrous ray of light. As it opened up, it revealed the Burmy they had caught earlier. Looking at it with contempt, Tobias stared at it from the corner of his eye. " ...What?" He finally asked. Pokemon exploding from their Pokeball when they fancied willy nilly was one of his pet peeves. As he asked, the Burmy suddenly burst out with a ray of light. Quickly trying to shield their eyes, Tobias, Striker and Prometheus were all taken off guard. " Whaaaaaaat~?! The scaredy-worm is... EVOLVING?! Will he FINALLY evolve a backbone too?! The suspense is killing me, eheheheh~!!" With the light dying down, Tobias dropped his arm that shielded his eye and looked at where the Burmy had sat. Nothing remained aside from a pile of leaves it had used as its armour. Looking around, it was Prometheus sudden point in the air that alerted Tobias. " Hm!" Taking in the sight, it appeared Burmy had now become a high flier, that of a flying moth. From observing all the chaos and destruction Tobias and co had wrought, it was no surprise the Pokemon had taken on board some tips. Fluttering there, it showed off what appeared to be a new move. Letting out a small spark, a burst of fire appeared in front of it, something that took the cowardly Mothim by surprise. His eye opening widely, Tobias was completely shocked. " Did it just... Summon fire?!" Unaware of how this could be, he would surely have to do some research. As unexpected as it was, it meant that he now had another resource in his party he could use as a source of fire. This has been a completely surprise turn of events that worked to his favour. " Return. I will send you to HQ for analysis." Retrieving the Pokemon, he placed it within his jacket and digitally transmitted the Pokemon back to his base. Retrieving another Pokemon from his sortie, Tobias grumbled. " Wish the same could be done for some cigarettes..." Looking into his packet, he realised he was down to his last one. Cursing, he swore off another and instead began walking along the route further. " What else should greet us." He stated, hopefully more foolish would be avengers he could squash. OOC: You think that's bad? Just wait for when a Normal Gem is used. Going to have fun with Whitney.
Also, letting Burmy evolve into Mothim. And nice, Hidden Power fire is awesome as it fits in with Tobias trying to obtain fire types/moves. Boxing Mothro for now and sticking Nuzlocke in its place.

Ponyta was gone.
Dead as dust, and was dust at this point. Nothing remained of the lone Ponyta but a pile of ashes and the horrified looks of those who'd known him. The herd hadn't been far away when it'd happened, but none of them truly expected this. Sure, that same Ponyta had picked a few fights, but tonight he'd picked his last. Under the moonlight, while Tobias was distracted with his newly evolved team-member, the herd gathered a ways away over the hill. Only a hump of ground and grass separated this Angry Ponyta from the man who'd killed their friend. "We cannot simply stand here and do nothing while that monster continues to pick off more and more of our people!"
One of the Ponyta spoke. He was an older stallion, almost ready to face his evolved form in the reflections of the waterhole. Then, he'd be ready to split from the herd and create his own herd elsewhere. Many Ponyta respected, and agreed with him. His words were persuasive, but instilled the confidence needed for those who might've been wary to take action. His hooves scraped across the ground angrily. "I will avenge our brother, and teach this trainer a lesson! For, even if I face the same fate as Spiro, I will not continue to let that trainer walk all over us! First the photographer, and now this man? I care not if he breathes smoke, I know where to send smoking demons."
The Ponyta around him nickered in agreement, before rearing up on their hind legs. A strange power could be felt in the air, although it was untraceable at this point in time. The angry Ponyta sprung forward into a gallop, willing those who wished to fight behind him. A few tapered off from the group, scared to fight the machine, but others followed until their group was 5 strong. Singled out, they were weak. But, when grouped together, they were strong. They'd seen what the smoke man had in his possession - a machine of death - and Ponyta wasn't about to let the rest of the herd fall victim. Angrily, Ponyta charged over the hill that led to the man once more. Now engrossed in the route once more, considering the newness of his Pokemon had worn off, Ponyta slowed to a walk before approaching the site where their friend had fallen. Ponyta approached the pile of ashes before halting. His neck extended down to push his nose into the ashes of his friend. When his neck rose, a black smudge stained the horse's nose. One by one, his followers followed suit, staining their own noses. Angrily, they all snorted smoke and fire and pawed at the ground. They'd take down this Death Machine, and the smoke man with him. CAUTION!
Ponyta and his 4 loyal followers (Level 10) are here to avenge their comrade's death. You may only use Lateralus and his Hyper Beam for the duration of this mod side-quest. EXP will be handed out at the end of the plot. -Thread has been Hijacked and Reserved by Tyger-

They didn't have to at all walk far. As quickly as they had set out on exploring the later areas of the route, they had stopped, Tobias keenly picking out the sound of what could only be described as an angry stampede honing in on their location. Looking back down at his last cigarette, he let out a despondent sigh. The sheer anger in the stampede's step meant this wasn't going to be a simple cake walk. Sliding out the smoke from his cigarette, he flicked it up into his mouth and rolled it over to the side of his mouth, sticking it out for Prometheus to his usual task of igniting the cigarette. Taking in an unusually long inhale, he kept the smoke within his lungs as he took sight of what was the cause of all the commotion. " Marvellous." He grunted. The entire herd, or what was left of it, had come out to play. " OooooOOOooooOOOooooOOOOooooh~!! That is QUITE the mob of angry Ponyta. All they need is a pitchfork or two and it would top it off PERFECTLY~!! Too bad I have nothing to do with this. Ta ta!" Gliding quickly back to his Pokeball that was on Tobias' person, he stored himself away, leaving just the male and his chimpanzee to face the wrath of the fire horses. " Hmph. This may just be all the field data we'll require." Noted Tobias as he scrutinised each and every one of their number. Five specimens and certainly sufficient data to be gleamed. Shoving aside his sleeve, he set up the C-Gear to begin its analysis. His reaction was entirely out of place and unlike that of any other who could have been thrust in the situation. Any other sane person would have trembled or started to plot their escape. Instead, he remained still, as if ignoring them in favour of tinkering with his tool. Letting the smoke he had retained within him slowly trickle out, Tobias had finished the first leg of his preparation. The next was to send forth his creation. " You all seem eager to do something about this situation. But you're out of your depth." Grabbing Lateralus' Pokeball, he stretched his arm out and summoned the virtual Pokemon safely in front of him as a defensive wall. " Lateralus; initiate battle protocol attack mode." As his odd, quirky Pokemon responded to the order, it began to assume an offensive position, ready to take on this herd of Pokemon. Uncaring if they meant to threaten him with numbers and not seek a battle, Tobias stepped up to the fight and began his side of the bargain. Flaring his nostrils as smoke poured out, Tobias took a particular dislike to one of the Ponyta in particular. Deciding that would be the first to be used in his experiment, he began sounding off the command. " HB inhibitors unlocked. Hyper Beam module, execute. On my mark..." Wanting the Ponyta to realise the pattern in his words; every time the order was murmured, insufferable pain would follow, he paused to let it settle in. Prometheus on the other hand was grinning riotously, to the monkey, it was surprising how dim these Pokemon were. All too happy to forfeit the lives in the vague hope they would accomplish something. Covering his mouth as he snickered, it was obvious that nothing would be achieved. Finishing his command, Tobias' voice raised to proceed with battle. " Hyper Beam... FIRE!" OOC: There will literally be zero Ponyta alive after this.
