Despite his bait, Tobias was quick to notice the boy failed to rise to his wager. Given the boy's lack of comment, the criminal was even more inclined to bet that the boy came from a privileged, well to do family that lived in an urban apartment that had been only able to go up thanks to the clawing back of land from nature to man. The act of deforestation. To the male, hypocrites were a trifling contradiction but he was even starting to feel irritation. Shaking it off, Tobias retorted. " You speak so much of respect. Hmph. There is nothing to respect. Nature is nature. It merely follows the set paths and phenomena it is programmed to follow." Straightening his tie and looking the camper dead in the eyes, Tobias concluded. " You, should learn to respect your betters." Reigning in Asmodeus gave Tobias enough of a reaction from Tod in realising that despite his big mouth, he was but a young boy and because of that, likely couldn't back up half of what he was saying. Ready for Asmodeus to launch his attack, Tobias' expression hardened as he noticed that the Tod had come out with an unexpected trump card. He knew of the move and it's undeniable use but had failed to make the link that the Psyduck he was battling actually knew it. As soon as the command was sounded, Tobias gritted his teeth as he watched the odd Psyduck use its innate powers to place a restrictive embargo on the move he had just ordered. Not only that but the definite confusion that had influenced the Psyduck had seemingly waned. With Asmodeus showing clear signs of strain on his visage, Tobias realised this entire round had been moot point. Almost showing a slither of dissatisfaction Tobias called out with another plan of strategy. " Asmodeus. Hypnosis." Understanding his Pokemon had been jinxed from being able to use the move, Tobias was still annoyed by the Pokemon's liabilities as a whole and this was only serving to hammer these points in. OOC: I must admit, i've never really seen this happen in the games but i've never known confusion status to wear off as quick as it had in that post. Online descriptions are patchy but Psypokes sums up what I was under the impression of: When a Pokemon is confused, it has a 50% chance to hurt itself in confusion for 1-4 actual attacks (not turns). Not too sure if we need other opinions on this but i'm not too sure if that's correct.

Ooc: I can confirm with my experience in the games that it is 1-4 attacks not turns for Confusion to end. Ic: As Camper Tod grew very annoyed by the evil man he was battling the young lad was trying to think of a way that he could teach end this battle quickly so he could force Tobias into volunteering. Tobias had not shown him any respect at all and the young camper was quickly losing his patience. This man did not share any of the belief's that he did and Tod felt it was high time that Tobias saw the light. " I tried to be nice about this but if you will not listen to reason I guess you truly are as dumb as you look. Only a corporate slave would wear such an ugly outfit." He said hoping not to get killed for running his mouth. Camper Tod had been brought up to be respectful to adults but Tobias was really asking for the young boy to go Rambo style on him out of spite. The young boy had tried everything he could to get Tobias to be helpful but at this point he had just about had it with the evil man. " I do respect my elders as long as they show me some kind of respect but you have been nothing more than a Grinch. Being trapped in a pit full of Stunky would be a nicer experience than talking to you for even 5 seconds. Not to mention the fact that you smell like you have been rolling around in Ponyta manure." The young boy said as his Psyduck looked at him like he was crazy to poke fun at such an intimidating looking man. As Camper Tod realized force would remain his only option he finally gave Psyduck orders. " Psyduck we do not have any choice but to use force again on this morons Pokemon. I hate to have to hurt his Pokemon more but it is the only way this man will see the light. Use Water Pulse on that Drowzee." He said as Psyduck shot another hypersonic wave of water at Asmodeus. Asmodeus was rather lightheaded after the wave but again managed to avoid becoming flat out confused. As he recovered his eyes turned blue and he began to wave his fingers in a hypnotic pattern. Psyduck was mesmerized by the motion and quickly fell into a deep sleep. Campter Tod began to get worried as he knew Psyduck would not be able to do anything as long as he slept. His eye widening, Tobias had not expected the boy to come out with such a disparaging remark about his looks. Almost unable to process what the young boy had said, Tobias opened his mouth and reiterated himself what he had said. "Corporate slave?" Raising an incredulous eyebrow, Tobias cleared his throat before repeating once more. "Corporate slave? You are so completely mistaken I dread to think about what you children are being taught in schools these days. The outfit you see before you is none other than the cutting edge of Unovan fashion. Only the higher echelons of society would don such attire. Not that I would expect such low brow skulduggery such as you to appreciate the finer things in life. And corporate...? Really?" Rubbing the bridge of his nose he wasn't sure how the boy had made the assumption. He was a professional criminal. Not some wage slave. Shaking his head, he decided not to expand further on that lest the boy decide to go mouthing off to his chaperone or worse yet, the police. Last thing he needed was the police on his tail after that long expedition through Ilex.
As the boy pressed on with his insults, Tobias ground his teeth with infuriation. Having restrained Asmodeus once from having his way with the annoying brat, he was now decided to recall his original order. Tilting his head to the side, Tobias watched as the boy continued on with his aggressions not only verbally but physically as well through the medium of Pokemon battling. Watching the Psyduck fire off another powerful water pulse, it left the male folding his arms and tapping his foot waiting for Asmodeus to retaliate. "We don't have all day. Get to it otherwise i'm dumpimg you off here." Unbeknownst to Tobias, Asmodeus has actually originated from this very same route from the original trainer he had procured him from when he hacked their pc storage. Rolling his eyes, Asmodeus didn't seem the least bit bothered but instead enticed by using his hypnotic ability to subdue the Psyduck. With no resistance, he had nothing left to stop him from indulging in his insidious wants.
Waving his arms side to side as his inner psychic ability was put to use, Tobias nodded his head as his Pokemon and finally pulled through and been of some use. "Hmph. It looks like your Psyduck is now a sitting duck." Looking down at the camper's efforts, Tobias decided to pursue with the only other means of offence he had at his disposal. "Asmodeus. Headbutt. We need to regain our lost footing." Letting out a cackle, Asmodeus whimsically skipped forward with a dark, looming, hint to his step. As he did, Tobias looked over to Tod. "You've messed with the wrong trainer, welp."

Camper Tod__________________________________
Tod kept his mouth shut for a few moments, looking fairly irritable in his own way. It seemed as if Tobias had an answer for everything and being older and wiser, made it difficult for Tod to keep up his own retaliations. He had been brought up in the centre of Goldenrod City, a place which undoubtedly ripped a great chunk of the forest he and his youngster camp was wishing to protect. But the placement of the city was not his choice, he had not been the one to decide whether or not to destroy nature. So whilst Tobias was right in the case that he lived in the city, the place where his parents had chosen to settle, Tod himself wanted nothing more than to preserve the natural routes that surrounded Goldenrod and to ensure that the city didn't expand. So when he took in the sheer destruction which surrounded him along side the strength of this man and his vague hint of further deforestation, Tod couldn't help but slowly put two and two together. He might have been young and had a big mouth at times but he wasn't absolutely stupid.
Not having enough proof that Tobias was the cause of their surroundings, Tod decided to leave that idea to the back of his mind, worrying more about the state of his Psyduck. The two had been partners for a while and were practically the strongest in their camping group. If he were to lose to this rude individual, Tod wouldn't be able to show his face to his friends again, knowing he let the man get away. "Hmph. Maybe you should just go back to whatever place you came from. Unova, wherever that is..." Further showing his lack of knowledge about the world around him, he couldn't let himself come across as being trapped in a corner. "I may live in Goldenrod but many of us want to protect nature! I don't know what happened out here for certain but I volunteered to help any injured Pokemon... Do you really not think that it's just human nature to help others?" His naivety also shining through, he had no idea Tobias was a criminal and just thought of him as a very rude man. But then again, maybe Tod had been a bit forward and demanding himself. "It doesn't matter... When this is over, I'm going to rejoin the camp and help without adult supervisors! Stupid, selfish adults." Puffing his cheeks angrily whilst wearing a slight frown, he didn't seem to have any good comebacks for Tobias.
Realising once more that the battle was still going, Tod realised he was in a tight spot as his Psyduck still slumbered. He had hoped with all that talking that his pal would be able to snap himself awake with just the sound of his voice, similar to how he broke out of the confusion earlier. But neither of them had really had a rest since they had started scouting for supervisors over an hour ago, so both of them were naturally tired as it was. Feeling somewhat alone at this point, Tod was beginning to get a little more desperate. "C'mon, Psyduck! You just got to wake up! It's, er, RUDE to sleep in the middle of a battle!" Suddenly grimacing as a shadow hung eerily over the face of Asmodeus, the Drowzee sped forward on his stumpy legs, flinging his arms back and forth in time with his skip like run. "W-Woah! O-Oh no!" Feeding off the fear of the boy, the creepy Drowzee licked his lips but still remained focused on Psyduck. If he had his way, he would focus his energy into humiliating the boy with his own desires but maybe he would get a bigger kick out of it once Tod knew he was truly alone after he had made the Psyduck faint.
Getting excited at the thought, Asmodeus' eyes widened before his body dove forward, landing head first into the podgy body of the slumbering Psyduck. The impact looked stronger than usual, maybe due to the target being immobile but it gave Tod a bit of hope despite it looking quite damaging. "Yes! Psyduck has to be awake after that! H-Huh?" But unfortunately for Tod, it seemed as if he had hit rock bottom in terms of luck. Merely rolling over and scratching it's behind, the Psyduck wore a pained expression but still slept on.

Shaking his head in further despair, Tobias realised just how backwater this region was. The kid was young and perhaps that explained his ignorance but given how much of a superpower Unova was in the world, he was surprised that the name didn't ring the slightest of bells. "Hmph, the more and more you open your trap, the more and more I begin to see the pitfalls and blind spots of your education. It is no wonder Johto is such a backwater cesspool of stupidity if this is the sort of education their young receive." His eye glaring, Tobias continued in response to Tod's words. "Do not worry, if you think I came here by choice you are sorely mistaken. Once i've rose through the ranks and obtained more of what I require, I will be returning post haste." He had only really come to this despicable region to lay low from the authorities having bungled that last heist back in Unova. Given the fact how small Johto was and plain, it was the last place the international police would bother searching for. Not only this but the fact a criminal organisation was on the road to reformation and a power vacuum was present, it was all too perfect timing for the male criminal.
All he would have to do is assume leadership of the Rockets and then utilise them as his own personal army. He'd have control over an organised crime syndicate and would have enough man power to return to Unova and slay that vile monstrosity. This end game was a long while off. So for the time being, he would have to endure the stupidity of people such as this youthful camper. The disdain in his expression was all too apparent. This only became ever more sour as the boy seemed to have an issue with adults. Raising his eyebrow in further incredibility, Tobias spoke out. "You're a truly foolish child. There will be a day you too will be an adult. As much as you wish to sing the joys of what you believe in now, the journey to adulthood will change you. Give it a number of years and I would be happy to revisit you to see just how you've changed from events that would have melded you over the years." Speaking of events, this chance encounter would surely be one of them. With Tobias' Drowzee approaching ever nearer, the trainer kept his eye trained on the Pokemon to ensure nothing underhanded would unfold.
As he did, the boy's stressed outcries were heard. "Hmph, your Pokemon cannot hear you. If there is one thing that Asmodeus is of good use is his ability to mind control and entice others into a deep sleep. By the time your Pokemon stirs, the battle will already have been lost." Tobias' words were not far off. As Asmodeus reared up for the attack, the sheer lunacy on the Pokemon's delighted expression was all too evident. Slamming his forehead into the immobile Psyduck, the impact was sickening and had even Prometheus cover his eyes at the violence. Tod's spirits seemed to pick up somewhat. If only momentarily. Tobias was all too quick in bringing him crashing down. "You believe your Pokemon has any chance of awakening now? You truly are a fool. A blow such as that will have likely concussed the Pokemon into unconsciousness." Shifting his eye to the Psyduck, Tobias returned to Tod as it was clear the Pokemon was still trapped in its dream state. "Asmodeus. Repeat another Headbutt. I want this Psyduck swatted." Writhing his fingers about in anticipation, Asmodeus didn't have far to walk this time. Hopping from leg to leg, the Pokemon sized up the Psyduck as it waited for the perfect opportunity to strike.

Camper Tod__________________________________
His shoulders tensing as Tobias once again drilled into the boy about his lack of intelligence as well as the region as a whole, Tod could clearly be seen sporting two mind sets. On one hand, he was very proud of where he came from and wanted to support Johto. His schooling was excellent and he excelled in his classes, it was much better than the crummy school in Violet with their weird, spinning teacher. Plus Johto was home to several myths and legends, making in a place worthy to protect for many years to come, so hearing an outsider speak negatively of it caused the young boys blood to boil. Yet at the same time, there were still many things the youngster didn't know and boys younger than him were able to go out and travel all on their own. How would they deal with men such as Tobias? Were they supposed to just run away? Tod was lucky in that home was so close by but his lack of real life encounters with bad guys had spooked him somewhat. How would he be able to grow up to be a protector of nature and kids his current age if he was scared so easily?
Biting his inner cheek, he was then thrown deeper into confusion by the next words of Tobias. "Rising in ranks?" He repeated unintentionally out loud, his brow frowning whilst looking puzzled. "If Johto is such a useless place, then surely there is nothing here for someone like you. There is no way you are a police office and you aren't a business man at Goldenrod, so what ranks could you even raise...?" His voice trailing off as if realising what it could possibly be, he truly had no clue. The idea of Team Rocket hadn't even crossed his mind as despite living in the city where the Rockets dwelled, it was a part of the world that he tried to remain clueless about. To him, it was Police Officers and Pokemon Rangers who took care of the bad guys whilst he slept, Tod showed no interest in criminal organisations and intended to keep it that way. Shaking his head from side to side, Tobias had picked up on his not so subtle hint at finding certain adults useless. His words only adding to Tod's belief in this matter. "No! When I grow up to be an adult, I'm going to protect nature and Pokemon and other kids my age, too. I'll teach 'em how to stand up to bad guys like you and always fight for what they believe in. So come find me in a few years and I'll beat you again!" Still believing he had a chance in this battle, even if he managed to somehow overcome the Drowzee, Tobias still had five more Pokemon. Aware of this, Tod growled under his breath. He didn't want to admit it but he didn't stand a chance at this point.
Watching as Asmodeus landed a sickening headbutt, it caused Tod to raise an arm to hide the brunt of his reaction. "C-C'mon, Psyduck." He whimpered, suddenly not so enthusiastic any more. Exchanging his line of sight between Tobias as he spoke and Asmodeus and he cackled with wriggling fingers, Tod could do little at this point. He had no healing items and he wasn't able to run from a trainer battle. Even if he did, that Drowzee was going to use his power to trap him. At this rate, what was going to happen at the end of the battle was vague, unless someone were to come along and save him in the nick of time. Clenching his teeth, he couldn't rely on adults. He had to believe his Psyduck and put his heart in knowing that Psyduck could recover. "Wake up, Psyduck! Use Water Pulse to get back into the fight! Just like we have always practiced!" Ignoring Tobias' jibes, Tod continued to cry and shout, all in hopes of stirring the Psyduck. It did appear to be tossing and turning some but it wasn't anything decisive. Hearing an evil cackle, Tod watched in horror as Asmodeus began to prance around the body of his Psyduck, wriggling his arms around in creepy motion before slowly drawing his head back, teasing Tod before landing a strike. "N-No... Don't hurt my P-Psyduck..." Tod pleaded pitifully. Smirking under his snout, Asmodeus moved onto his tip toes and in a curving motion, swung forward and landed another Headbutt.

Even though what he had mentioned was but a mere throwaway comment, Tobias appeared to raise his eyebrow incredulously as the Tod clung onto his words with more than thought than necessary. Watching as the boy used his primary school ability level of deduction, Tobias remained still in his stance as he listened to what he had to say. Needless to say, Tobias remained deeply unimpressed in his engagement with this child. "Hmph. There IS nothing here. That's the whole point of my excursion. Find a place so forgettable, so out of the way that I have time to shore up my recovery and ambitions." Realising that the boy was even more simple than he looked, it was amusing to see he filtered between the police and business but failed to make the connection to Team Rocket, wherein his true affiliation lied for the time being. Either Team Rocket had truly fallen from its once feared reputation or this boy was simply too oblivious to it all. Neither of which mattered, especially with the tirade the boy came out with next.
"You cling to such childish aspirations. I still stand by my wager. In fact, I am willing to reduce my expectations of a few years to simply two or three. The ball has already begun in motion. This battle will hinge as the pivotal moment you took a step onto a different path. You feel you can trounce me when you're grown up but if you fail to show any sort of ability or knack for it now as a youth, there is no hope for you." Sparing no pull to his punches, Tobias fiercely laid into the young lad without so much a care as to what impact it would have. As far as he was concerned, this would be their first and last meeting. Even if they did cross paths, he had far more terrible tools at his disposal and it was doubtful any sort of justice or retribution would be laid upon his person. Folding his arms and tilting his head off to the side slightly, Tobias observed as Tod's frustration grew. Now that he was on the receiving end of being stalled and prevented from attacking, it was ironic to say the least.
"Your pitiable cries of desperation are of no use. This outcome has been decided." As soon as he had finished, Asmodeus walloped into the sitting duck and left a hefty dealing of damage to its foe. The Pokemon may have slumbered but it was clear that it was in bad shape. Drearily thinking over how long it had been, Tobias cleared his throat and commanded what he hoped would be the final blow of the battle. "Asmodeus. You're restriction is lifted. Finish off this lame duck with Confusion." Letting out a howling cackle, Asmodeus creepily looked to Tod and his Psyduck. The dream eating Pokemon had been angered to no ends by being disabled like that but now, he was going to relish once more in his nefarious powers to conclude this for good. "This is way past your bedtime, runt." Mumbled Tobias as he leered at Tod in the midst of battle. Ironically, the very same held true for him when he was a child on that fateful night all those years ago.

Camper Tod__________________________________
Tod knew that the end was drawing near, so near that it would be this very round. His partner didn't seem as if he would ever wake up to save the boy, only the creepy image of the finger wriggling Drowzee filling his mind fearfully. Then, with Tobias' words, it just sent the boy into an even deeper pit of doubt. His pupils shrinking and fingers twitching by his sides, Tobias had done well to make this boy well and truly give up. "There is... No hope?" He repeatedly sadly, feeling his vision begin to tear up. Clenching his eyes shut, the boy lowered his head and despite shaking in fear, still had an ounce of fight left in him. Flinging his arm out to the side, he refused to look Tobias in the eye as he shouted his next few words, "N-NO! I w-will still protect n-nature and I will get s-strong! S-So strong you'll be s-scared of ME!" At this point, all he hoped for was getting away safely. Then, he would run home to Goldenrod and hope to never see Tobias again for the rest of his life. After this encounter, it would be questionable if Tod would even remain a camper.
A creepy glint to his eyes, Asmodeus had been more than delighted with this battle. Since using his Hypnosis, things had really gone his way and in a moment, he would be victorious. Regaining the use of his psychic powers, Asmodeus began to weave up a nightmare, only, it didn't work straight away. Blinking his eyes, the Drowzee was about to try again when he noticed the problem. As if sensing his friend's plight, the Psyduck had managed to force himself awake! Too busy sniffling to see this, Tod had his face hidden behind his hands. The Psyduck turned to Asmodeus and let out an infectious yawn which equally made the Drowzee tired. Before he could have a bit of a rest himself, he had to finish this battle. Pushing his hands forward, Asmodeus used his powers to contort the vision of the Psyduck, twisting what he could see into a jagged, horror world, filling the ducks mind with confused thoughts. Grabbing hold of his head, the Psyduck swirled his eyes around before falling backward with a heavy thump.
Psyduck: | Level 25 | Health: 0% ( 0/67 HP) Status: Fainted Psyduck woke up! Psyduck used Yawn!

Asmodeus: | Level 24 | Health: 50% (35/70 HP) Status: Normal Asmodeus used Confusion!
Congratulations!Tobias has successfully defeated Camper Tod! Tod dropped £230!Asmodeus gained 4 levels (+1 due to Lucky Egg) and grew to Level 28! Asmodeus is able to learn the move Psybeam! Forget a move? Hypnosis, Attract, Confusion, Headbutt+1 Happiness E-Err...Asmodeus looks like he is trying to evolve! Intervene? Charon gained +1 level for holding Experience Share and grew to Level 21!
Peering through his finger tips, Tod knew that the battle was over. Unsure of how this would progress, all he could do was beg for forgiveness and hope Tobias had a shred of mercy in his body. "P-Please! J-Just let me go..." Staggering back at the sight of Asmodeus wriggling his fingers toward the boy, Tod was petrified. "I just... Want to go home!" Tears beginning to stream down his face despite his best efforts at holding them back, it was up to Tobias how the boy would end up.
If it hadn't been for a little bit of interference.
"TOD! TOOOOD! IS THAT YOU, TOD?!" A new voice ringing over the destruction of the route, a pair of heavy footsteps echoed across the mounds of earth, a figure which would more than likely soil Tobias' plans coming into view. Dressed from head to toe in a blue uniform sporting badges, medals and stripes was a middle aged man. Although he seemed to completely ignore Tobias and jog straight for Tod. "Here you are! We had reports that one of the campers left the group and hadn't returned. I didn't expect to find you all the way out here. Didn't you know it is dangerous to wander off on your own?! Miss Ravin is worried sick." As he proceeded to tell the boy off further, he finally begun to realise the state that Tod was in. Eyes red from all the tears and a fainted Psyduck by his feet, the Police Officer turned his attention to Tobias and raised a weary eyebrow. "And who might you be?" He questioned bluntly, immediately losing his concerned tone and making it more of a suspicious one. Gulping, now that he had some back up, Tod couldn't hold himself back. "This is a bad man! He said Johto is stupid and our teachers are stupid and that I am stupid! He is trouble and really REALLY horrible! I... I think he is the one destroying the nature!"
Ready to believe the familiar child, who was always well behaved and helpful to the community of Goldenrod, over the stranger that was Tobias, the Policeman stepped forward protectively. "Go on home, Tod. I will deal with this man." Not even bothering to question the boy further, Keith looked Tobias dead in the eye, giving Tod enough chance to merely nod and begin his exit back to Goldenrod. Not allowing Tobias to intervene, as if he did it would give Keith more than enough reason to arrest him, he shot the finely dressed male a scrutinising stare. "So. What are you doing out the outskirts of Goldenrod, amidst all this destruction?" Eyes leering from side to side, he had earlier heard reports of commotion in the area and since Tobias was the only one to be seen, he was the initial suspect. "I think you should come to the station with me for questioning." Taking a Pokeball from his belt, he tossed the ball forward, a fierce looking Growlithe popping out with a snarl. He only did this as Tobias still had his Drowzee present, who had begun to act odd. So in an act of self defensive, was ready to fight back if Tobias decided to resist.
Policeman Keith has appeared! You must battle him in order to flee! Policeman Keith sends out Growlithe (Level 25)! Please select a Pokemon to use in battle.

Savouring the boy's utter despair at this point, Tobias had safely taught this intervening little brat the price of butting into other people's business. It was a hefty consequence. As Tod mad his final outburst at vowing to one day turn the tables on Tobias, the eye patched criminal could only respond with a blank expressionless look on his face. " I severely doubt that." Placing a hand at the bottom of his jaw, he tilted his head to the side as he relayed his considerations. " If anything is to go by from today, I doubt you'll amount to anything. This outcome today should be lesson enough to stick your nose out of where its not wanted." Calm in his belief he was secured victory now, Tobias' eye twitched slightly as he noticed the Psyduck was stirring from its sleep. As it did, Tobias also became aware of Asmodeus' bumbling attempts to try and devour the Pokemon's dreams. " Asmodeus! You dimwit! The hypnosis has worn off!" Irritated his Pokemon was letting such a slip up occur, Tobias was met with a rather unexpected turn of events there after. Letting out a yawn which was so infectious it almost made Tobias succumb to it, it appeared that would be the Psyduck's response from the barrage it had received whilst drowsing. " Hmph, what a pathetic waste. Trying to woo Asmodeus into a deep sleep is impossible. He's a certified insomniac. This is why you command better control of your Pokemon, you idiotic runt." By the time Tobias had finished, it was far too late. Having seeped into the Psyduck's mind and flashed him imagery most foul, the Pokemon passed out, clearly unable to continue on after what it had just viewed within its mind. As the Psyduck fell to the floor, Tobias flicked his eye to the boy and drilled at him with a chilling glare. With nothing left to safeguard the boy, Tobias knew if he didn't intervene, Asmodeus would have his share of fun in tormenting the camper. Given how frustrating he had been, he was of a conscience to avoid stepping in. Sadly, such torture wouldn't be on the cards as the entire group was alerted to the sound of a sudden voice starting off in the distance. " What now?!" Growled Tobias angrily. Given the voice had called out Tod directly, Tobias lowered his arms and took on a readied stance in anticipation. " What's this!? Your chaperone? With the mood i'm in, i'll crush them too." His assertion was however completely off base. As the figure came into view through the dark of night, Tobias' face became even further disgruntled. Dressed up in the unmistakeable attire of a man of the law, Tobias cursed his luck. Here he was trying to escape out of the route and it seemed everyone and their mother was coming out to impede his progress. That wasn't the only predicament he found himself in. He was now up against a police officer and given he was trying to lay low with his actions, this meant one of two realities. He would be unable to escape and get apprehend by this officer. Taken in and detained, they would then liaise with the international police force and realise he was a known fugitive on the run for his crimes in Unova. That reality was something he could not afford. Having lost his original partner in crime back in Unova, he would not allow this to unfold in such a way. The other option was of course the one Tobias would be aiming for. He would quash this officer here and now, ensure he would be unable to alert anyone to his presence and simply flee to the Rocket HQ. In the time Tobias took to assess his options to fight or flee, it appeared Tod had been mouthing off about what he had said in the battle. That was just what he needed. " Hmph, of course I said that and more. You should teach your young not to be wandering out so late and evading other people's business. I may have been harsh in my language but I have done nothing wrong." Sneering as the officer appeared to side with Tod, Tobias became outraged as he mentioned that he himself may be the one responsible for all this destruction. It was in fact the truth but this was the last thing he wanted at this point. " Hmph! That is a weight claim to make, boy. Where is your proof? Your hard evidence of this?" Leering, it appeared his side of the matter was irrelevant as the officer allowed Tod to scatter off, fleeing in fear from the scene. As the policeman began to question his presence here, Tobias growled back at him. " As I said to the boy, that is none of your business. When did it become illegal to be merely walking along a public route? Or has this backwards region decided that is a good idea also?" Realising the officer was persistent and informed they had best be returning to Goldenrod for questioning, Tobias outright refused to cooperate. " I'll do no such thing. What I will be doing however is taking you out of the picture and returning to Goldenrod by myself." His eye shifting to Asmodeus, he was about to summon him forth when he noticed the Pokemon burst alight with a pulsating ray of light. Covering his eyes, the change was quick as he noticed the light die down as quick as it had started. Taking in his new form, Tobias realised that the last battle had been particularly taxing and had caused the Drowzee to evolve. Waving his pendulum back and forth, Asmodeus let out a despicable cackle as he appeared more than happy to take on more potential victims to his perverse desires. Tobias however, wouldn't allow such a thing. " Asmodeus. Stop. You will have time to prove your abilities later. That last battle was far too much of a strain. Instead, i'll utilise another tool at my disposal." Taking out a Pokeball and chucking it front of his group, it appeared he had summoned Gligar to the forefront. " HMMMMMMMMMMMMMM~?! Am I really being called out at THIS hour to do a bit of handiwork? Goodness~! As long as it doesn't involve crushing a herd of Ponyta." Looking over to the Growlithe the officer had sent out, Striker stuck his tongue out and played down the canine's attempts to be intimidating. " Oh PIPE down you rascally little mutt! I've seen Magikarp more fearsome and oh so TERRIFYING than you~" Wanting to move on with this as quickly as possible, Tobias bluntly called out. " Striker. Bulldoze." Cackling to himself, Gligar leered the opponent and muttered under his breath. " With absolute pleasure~ Ohohoho~! For Growlie, it's bulldozing time~!"

As Policeman Keith was taken aback by the homicidal maniac defying his order to follow him to the station he knew things were going to be ugly. The one good news was that the Policeman's brave act of trying to bring Tobias in had allowed Camper Tod to escape but besides that the officer had a feeling of dread. If this was truly the man who had caused so much destruction then this battle was not going to be pretty and it would be quite a chore to arrest Tobias. Even Growlithe looked worried when it heard Tobias speak and by the looks of the Gligar he sent out to battle the evil man was quite a good trainer which was not a relaxing thought to the poor mutt. The Policeman was just about to try and give Tobias another chance to surrender when Striker began to head towards the Policeman's way. The flying scorpion scooped a massive amount of dirt using it's claws as it dug them into the ground until there was a 5 foot wall of gravel in front of it. The sneaky Pokemon ran over the poor Growlithe covering the poor dog up to it's head in gravel and debris. Growlithe somehow managed to recover from the attack but it walked rather slow compared to it's usual speedy self. The Policeman knew something was wrong but he could not afford to back down now. Both him and Growlithe knew they had to try their best to arrest this man before he blew up an entire city. " Growlithe things do not look very good right now. This suspect is a lot tougher than he looks and I do not think he is going to come quietly after that last attack. We must give it everything we have here and win this battle or else this crook will continue his rampage." He said as Growlithe looked at him like it knew this battle was not going very well at all. Even though the Policeman knew that things did not look very well Growlithe was still standing so it meant there was still a chance. " Alright Growlithe use Fire Fang and let's hope you are able to bring down that Gligar so we can arrest this perk."Growlithe then ran towards Striker and bit down on the scorpion's left arm with fangs of burning flame. Striker let out a small whimper of pain before shaking the dog Pokemon off of it's arm. Growlithe and the Policeman were disappointed that they had failed but the good news was he had a radio to call in for backup. " Unit 21 here I am in a battle with the suspect of the recent explosions and destruction being reported on Route 34. I need all available unit's here now. This guy is a total nutcase and we are going to need everything we have to stop this guy before he kills somebody. He has already threatened a child and with how he has acted so far he is a very high level threat." He yelled at the radio praying that his message would be heard and other units would come to the rescue. Trainer Pokemon Battle

Knowing that he could rely on Striker's battle prowess from having utilised him earlier in battle, he was glad he had such an effective tool at his disposal. As underhanded a fighter he was also, it meant that there was going to be little chance of the officer making any sort of attempt at trying to follow him with a lack of any able bodied Pokemon. And should the policeman want to be reckless in his heroics, he'd sic Asmodeus on him which was not something Tobias would prefer to resort to. However, the option remained on the table as given how ruthless a criminal Tobias was, he wasn't going to waste any chance of making a clean getaway. As Striker sadistically buried the fire type Pokemon without any such sign of remorse, Tobias scrutinised his sharp, cold eye at the opponent as he spoke to his Pokemon. Given how much of a deft blow Striker had just landed, it didn't look as if the officer had expected such a wave of resistance. Deciding to unnerve the officer somewhat, Tobias called out bluntly.
"Pathetic. That youngster put up more of a fight. Perhaps I was correct in my assertion this region is full of talentless hacks and novices. You seem to proudly wear that uniform but if you're Johto's finest all I can do is laugh at such a pitiable display of policing." Glaring his eye, Tobias at this point decided there was no point in hiding he was the true culprit behind all this mass destruction on the route. "Perhaps i'll waltz into your precinct and leave it a smoking pile of rubble just like this route." It was definitely a consideration, he had acquired a powerful weapon in the hands of his Pokemon's Hyper Beam and given how Team Rocket needed to step up their efforts in the area, perhaps it'd earn him some recognition within the syndicate. As the officer showed some resilience in deciding to follow through with an attack, Tobias glared at Striker. "Failure is not an option." He reminded bluntly. Cackling, Striker seemed to invite the pup's attack. "Ohhhh~ What is this... Failure you speak of? I know not of the word. Especially in the context of fighting this cutesy wootsey lil' Growliepup. Aren't ya cutie~ Ohohohohoho~!! AHA! IT TICKLES!" Suddenly being bitten with the Growlithe's fangs alight, Tobias watched as Striker merely shrugged off the attack. Waving his pincer somewhat, he eventually got rid of the Growlithe's grip and clashed both of his threatening pincers together. "OoooOOOOOooOOoooOOOoh, you'll pay for that little doggie. Didn't your master teach you not to bitey~?! I'll bury you good mutt."
Before Tobias could wrap this up and order his next move, his eye burned furiously as he noticed the policeman requesting back up. This would definitely impede his escape if they were to appear now. Firing off an order, he needed to make his getaway. Fast. "Striker! Bulldoze!" Nodding his head, Striker responded curtly. "Aye, aye, big boss!" Leering at the police officer, Tobias was to the point of spitting venom. "You have 10 seconds to radio back in stating that you were mistaken and no assistance is required." Wanting to make sure he was painfully clear in his message, Tobias deployed a very considerable threat. "Lest you want to be the target of a fully focused Hyper Beam. I would wager you would look rather much like these smoking craters that have popped up along the route. Imagine that."

Policeman Keith__________________________________
Keith had been suspecting of Tobias but tried to remain neutral on the matter until he witnessed something first hand. Tod was a good kid around Goldenrod, he had trained with his Psyduck for a while and helped teach youngsters to respect Pokemon. He knew that Tod wouldn't be lying about this man and as time went on, Keith began to understand why the boy had tears streaming down his face. The suit clad male was merciless, his lone eye with such a piercing glare being enough to put Keith on edge. This was only backed up by the ruthless nature of his Pokemon, who also refused to surrender and did little to hold back in battle. After one hit, his Growlithe was looking on the verge of fainting and that only added to the fears of the Policeman. Usually stationed on this route, the most interesting calls he would receive were stopping the on going clashing of Zangoose and Serviper who would often battle violently and scare travellers. This was a potential criminal and despite all the training he had received and knowledge of being in the force, everything he had learnt seemed to leave his mind when thrown into the situation itself.
Despite his call for back up, Keith was also worried about not gaining an answer back. Usually on the ball when it came to serious situations, he lifted a hand to try again when he was forced to stop. Standing by the side of Tobias was Asmodeus and with a wriggle of his fingers and eerie shadow that loomed across his face, it was clear that the Hypno was up to something. Testing his improved psychic powers, he had managed to fiddle with the airwaves, meaning that Keith's original plea for help had most likely not reached back to base. Immediately realising this was the case, Keith ignored Tobias' threat and immediately pressed the button down once again. "Unit 21, do you copy? This is a code red. I repeat, this is a code red!" Sounding much more desperate at this point, he was suddenly forced to pull his face away as with a sudden spark, the walkie talkie strapped to his uniform unleashed a puff of smoke. Trying the button once or twice more, Keith growled under his breath, exchanging glares with the Hypno once more. Smirking under his grotesque snout, Asmodeus had managed to destroy the device. In doing so, the officer was unable to call for back up but the other Policemen had also lost contact with him. His absence mixed with the possibility of Tod alerting the police himself meant that Asmodeus could've helped Tobias out of a tricky spot or actually heightened the alert of the force.
Knowing he was alone at this point, Keith had to push his worries to the back of his mind and keep Tobias preoccupied for as long as possible. If there was one thing Keith possessed, it was stupid amounts of bravery and though his loss was nigh, he still planned to stand his ground until help came. "Enough! How such a person was able to creep under our noses is beyond me. You will be sent to jail for your actions, justice will be ours!" Clenching his hand into a fist passionately, Keith truly believed he still had a fighting chance against Tobias. "I may be a mere field supervisor but there are members of the force that will put you were you belong. You will not be able to roam the streets of Johto freely!" Considering Tobias' appearance and if the Policeman managed to somehow escape, this was true. Having such a crisp white suit and eye patch meant he was an easy target because of his unique appearance. If Keith reported this, Tobias would likely be in trouble for the rest of his journey. No doubt he would be able to Hyper Beam his way through the drones of officers but would he be able to keep up with their constant numbers? Considering the previous Ponyta battle where he needed to flee, Tobias needed to carefully consider his options and deal with the Policeman as he would deem necessary.
"Growlithe. We need to continue fighting until our back up arrive. Now, use a--" Before he could even finish his order, the speedy Striker swooped in with a cackle, not even wanting to give this buffoon a chance. Blood lust apparent in his eyes as he swooped forward, the Growlithe, despite it's intimidating appearance, cowered fearfully. Feeling a pincer grab hold of it's ear, the fiery canine was forced face first into the ground and whilst remaining in flight, the Gligar hovered low against the ground, dragging the body of the Growlithe with him. Then, for the final finisher, he lifted the dog into the air and with an acrobatic spin, lifted the Growlithe all the way into the air in a circle before plummeting it's body down into the ground.
Growlithe: | Level 25 | Health: 0% ( 0/70 HP) Status: -2 Spd Growlithe fainted!
VS
Striker: | Level 24 | Health: 76% (55/72 HP) Status: Normal Striker used Bulldoze!
Congratulations!Tobias has successfully defeated Policeman Keith! Keith dropped £680!
Striker gained 3 levels and grew to Level 27! Striker is able to learn the move Acrobatics! Forget a move? Fury Cutter, Faint Attack, Quick Attack, Bulldoze +1 Happiness
...Hmm? Since Striker is holding the item Razor Claw, he is able to evolve! A bright light engulfs Striker! Intervene?
Charon gained 1 level (due to holding Experience Share) and grew to Level 23!
Jaw dropping at the sight of the Growlithe's near lifeless body, Keith grit his teeth tightly, lifting the ball and withdrawing his team member. Now all alone to deal with Tobias, he had to remain strong, no matter what happened. "I still cannot allow you to walk free! I will give you one final chance. Withdraw your Pokemon and come to the station in Goldenrod City. If you continue to resist, you will become a wanted man and believe me, your sentence will be a long one if you resist further." Unaware that Tobias was already wanted back in Unova, his pitiful attempts at trying to reign in the criminal likely fell on deaf ears. It was now up to Tobias how he wanted to tie these loose ends.
Policeman Keith will not allow Tobias to pass and possible back up is on the way! How would Tobias react?
OOC: Tobias can deal with this however he wants and then you can carry on with your page 5 requests. Sorry for springing the Policeman on you out of the blue, I just figured it would've made more sense than Tod simply running off.

Unaware that his Hypno was manipulating the airwaves with psychic interference, Tobias watched with wrathful anger as the policeman went to repeat a second time on his radio for backup and not to rescind it. " You have sealed your fate. I hope you were not planning on a grave as by the time you are through, there'll barely be any ashes to scatter in the wind." His head turning to survey all the havoc reaped upon the route, he let out a sarcastic laugh. " I suppose a headstone could be arranged on top of the smoking crater whence you stood." Turning his head, he noticed Asmodeus was acting rather quiet and seemed in concentrating of something. His gaze following the Hypno's to the officer's radio, he trailed it back again and was smart enough to realise that their opponent's pleas for help had been for naught. Not wanting the officer to pick up on this, Tobias stuck by his original threat. This wouldn't last long however as the radio suddenly began to smoke and with a small eruption, exploded signify its uselessness. Having wanted to play on the male's fears somewhat, Tobias was observant enough to note this had sent the law man into even more of a worry. Saying nothing, he was secretly impressed by Asmodeus' cunning. Perhaps his evolution had enlarged his brain somewhat in the process. Sadly, in the brief moment of panic the officer had displayed, it appeared he had infinite reserves of bravado to keep him going. Much to Tobias' chagrin. As the police officer came back with something of a rebuttal at Tobias' threats, the eye patched criminal merely stared down the policemen for even daring to reproach his words. " Oh that won't be a problem. How will they be able to search for someone... They know nothing of?" His words cryptic, Tobias had already began formulating a dastardly plan involving Asmodeus' talents. By the time they were through, he would barely even remember who he was. This too would be a lot sooner than anticipated. Having been bulldozed into the ground with absolute ferocity by Striker, it appeared he was not utterly defenceless. " Silly poochie~! That's what you get for gnawing on my arm!!" Gliding with a sway in the air, Striker's face took on an ominously evil grin as the shadows contorted his face into an actually threatening appearance. As the battle was concluded in Tobias' favour, the suited male strung up his tie having gotten loose from all the stress of the route and glared violently at the officer. Before he could fully respond, a dark burst of light erupted from Striker. " OhohohohooOHOHOHOOHOHohohoohohohoOO~!! You done it! You just gone and done it now! Putting that pooch in its place and doing so under the divine light of the moon. What absolute lunacy~! Aha! Ahaha! AHAHAAHAHAHAHA! I feel it, deep from within my bones... A glorious change approaching! Bear witness!" Enveloped now in this mysteriously dark glow, it began to pulsate, much like other evolutions would. Strobing ever more violently, it wasn't long before it culminated in one final flash, revealing a much deadlier form for the sociopath. Fluttering gently in the air, Striker clashed his enlarged pincers together before stabbing the air in front of him with his evolved tail. " Ahhhh~ Simply perfection. I knew it was about high time I kicked it up a notch or two. No thanks to that dim witted trainer who looked after me before. Consider me indebted to your services, oh glorious leader." Spieling forth indecipherable speech, Tobias failed to understand the psychopath's words but nevertheless, it certainly added weight to his already threatening presence. With a unsettling Hypno to his left and a vicious Gliscor to his right and a snickering monkey on his shoulder, Tobias stepped forward, unflinching to the officer's threats. " And why would I return my tools? You've been wiped out completely. Not a leg left to stand on. And here I am with two new fully evolved weapons. You haven't seen what other tools I have at my disposal. Your demands are laughable." His expression blank, Tobias continued on. " Except, I am not laughing. As I mentioned earlier, what good is it sending the whole of Johto's police on my tail if... They knew not of whom they were chasing? That this was all... Unreal?" Picking up on his master's words, Asmodeus let out a hideous cackle as he stomped forward threateningly. Slowly but surely, the despicable Pokemon drew nearer, each step stomping down as his pendulum swung back and forth, visibly starting to take hold of the officer's mind. His eyes glossing over, it appeared that the Hypno now had full control over the law man. Knowing this was his chance, Tobias called out, issuing orders. " You will forget of this encounter. You will forget of yourself. Your background, your ties, your entire life. Instead, you will move off, into the woods. Never to return." Knowing Asmodeus would do something far more foul, his alternative at least tied up any loose ends. He still had Tod to contend with but given he was but a mere child with an undoubtedly overactive imagination, there would be little to go on. Especially when an amnesiac policeman is found with his mind broken out in the woods. Watching as the male seemed to comprehend his orders, Tobias looked to his improved Pokemon. " Finally. We can no return, no other distractions." Recalling them all, he began heading off onto the city, the hue of the sky appearing to change with the sun rising. It had certainly been an eventful night.
His errands complete in Goldenrod, even managing a small detour into a sunken ship off the coastline of Goldenrod, it was time for him to make a small return to the route he had grown to absolutely loathe. His beard clean shaved, his suit replaced with a clean and perfectly ironed substitute, he was ready to finish up the field data he needed. Whilst not to mention paying a little visit to repay the Ponyta who had so kindly shown paid hospitality to him when he arrived on the route. Having made a couple of alteration to his party, he had taken out a Pokemon he had not used in some time, a Pokemon he had hacked, Duster the Zigzagoon. Being of a rare shiny colouration and having a very quick thinking mind to boot, it was the perfect tool in sniffing out the Ponyta. Using his C-Gear to analyse the data he had compiled on the Ponyta whilst they were battling, it was a simple case of hunting them down and ensuring they would know his wrath. Having used the radar function of his device, he had found some rather erratic movements of what appeared to be one of the lackeys he had battled. Tracing it down to a small closing of trees, Tobias watched stealthily from afar, crouching down with Duster by his side. " Duster. I want you to lure out the Pony... Hm?" They had definitely followed the right Ponyta. All the bio-signs and tracking information was correct but to Tobias' shock, the Ponyta that had been drinking at a pool of water had suddenly distorted, shrinking in size and becoming a pink blow instead. " This can't be..." His eye glaring, he tried to anaylse the situation, eventually coming to a conclusion. " That Pokemon appears to be a Ditto. A metamorph. It's entirely possible this creature copied our target and fooled my radar system." His face filled with nuisance, he looked to Duster and decided he would take out a bit of his annoyance on the false lead. " Charge in there and Headbutt the decoy." OOC: Letting Striker evolve into Gliscor. Updated this and removed Razor Fang as this is used up with the evolution. Also replacing Fury Cutter with Acrobatics. It seems there's also a mix up with the BW and BW2 movelists. Should've learnt Acrobatics at 22 and Nightlash at 27. Amended with all the correct moves i'm after.
It's cool about the policeman appearing, if anything this made for some good RP material.
At this point Tobias, is running into the city, i'll link that up with the shop topics i'll do in a moment and then resume this. Once he's returned here, i'm requesting a Ditto if possible. Also going straight into battle with Duster using Headbutt.

As the Ditto revealed it's true form it took notice of Tobias rather quickly along with his shiny Zigzagoon. The doppelganger Pokemon was rather surprised that it had been followed by him and was rather frightened by the man. The transforming blob had never expected that anyone would follow a Ponyta around. It thought that a Ponyta transformation was the perfect disguise but as things turned out it was probably the worst idea the pink blob could have come up with. Ditto had a feeling that this man was going to want a battle and it was not in any place to so no or try to escape. Ditto looked at Tobias and his Zigzagoon and was terrified what this man planned to do with it. Judging by the mans appearance Ditto believed that he was either a scientist or a corporate big wig but either way Ditto did not like the shroud of evil energy if felt coming off of the man. As it feared for it's life Ditto did not even pay attention to Duster as he began to charge towards the pink puddle of goo. The raccoon Pokemon used a powerful Headbutt that sent the poor blob back a good 10 feet from the power of the attack. Ditto was dazed by the attack but it somehow came to it's senses before it was too late. Ditto knew it was time to play dirty if it wanted any chance to win this battle. The pink blob began to change color and shape as it used Transform. After a few moments of literally rewriting it's DNA Ditto looked just like Duster. Even the slightest of details were an exact match and there was no way to tell them apart. Ditto stuck out it's tongue to mock Duster as the raccoon looked rather confused as to what just happened. Ditto seemed to be enjoying the confusion as it now knew all the moves Duster did and had the same stats. Now that it was on equal footing to Duster Ditto felt really confident that it could somehow turn this battle around and beat this evil man. A level 18 Ditto has Appeared and has accepted your challenge. Wild Pokemon Battle

His icy cold glare staring fiercely at the Ditto, Tobias appeared to be keenly observing its characteristics. If it could fool his radar in the search of exacting his revenge, this would make his task a lot more difficult than first thought. Not only this but there may have been some silver lining to this all. Realising the Pokemon's innate ability to transform into anything would be a useful boon, he decided to spare the Ditto his wrathful intentions. As Duster scuttled off, eager to try and catch the Ditto off guard and make for a quick dispatch of its opponent, Tobias weighed up some of the Pokemon's characteristics. "Ditto are difficult creatures to catch on their own but..." Looking to Duster's recoil as he bounded off the pink blob, Tobias' eye reconnected back to the metamorphic blob as it began to react strangely. Realising this must have been the Pokemon's unique move, it was understandable the process involved in which the Pokemon reconfigured each and every cell of its body to conform itself to an exact copy of whatever it was facing. This in itself was enough to excite Tobias to a number of possibilities.
It wouldn't be too long before he would be able to draw upon them as he realised a somewhat ironic predicament that arose from the Ditto's wanton need to copy its opponent. It would be difficult to catch on its own but not now that it had copied its foe. "Hmph, by copying yourself exactly, you've weakened yourself to Duster's level. I would say you now have a fairly meagre resistance to Pokeballs now." Shaking his head, he realised the Ditto's greatest blessing had also been its most undoing curse. With Duster having got in a sly head start with the ambushing headbutt, it meant that things were now wholly in Tobias' favour. Reaching into his inner jacket, he took out a Greatball and primed it ready for capture. "You may have misled me but I won't let this be a waste of time. You had just hope that the rest of your ilk haven't adopted such a safety mechanism. The next Ponyta I see on sight will be turned to ash." Leering at the Ditto, he knew exactly of its capabilities having become accustomed to Duster's quick thinking mind set. Knowing he would likely try and feint his moves, Tobias threw a rather awkward toss in the hopes of capturing the creature.
