Easy to understand descriptions that doubles as a fun read, both in variety of words and the personality of an individual shining through. The balance between wariness and curiosity from the hoothoot is well played, and the introduction of Grandpa Noc is a kind of startling surprise that forces laughter. It's also an example of how encounters can be varied in different veins, and how to roll with a player trying out something else. I'm seconding this, it's really a fun idea.
